Considering the age of the property, dating from 1456, the rooms were beautifully modernised whilst keeping the original features. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and I honestly can’t fault anything. The only negative was the heat but nothing anyone could do about that!!!

Such a beautiful and cozy place. All staff were polite and very helpful. Food was lovely. Room was beautiful and very clean but... there was a steep and awkward staircase to get to the rooms which wasn't mentioned in the pre-booking information. We saw several people struggle with this, as did I. It wasnt a dealbreaker but i feel its worth mentioning. Also the double bed was so hard neither of us were able to sleep much, and had achy joints the next morning. Overall, it is a lovely place to stay and eat and we were well looked after, but these two things are the reason for a 4 and not a 5.
