There were roaches, I had to put a towel in the tub because it was dirty as hell, floors were dirty, no housekeeping until Thursday, I’ll gladly pay more to stay somewhere else

Our room was absolutely disgusting. The toilet, bathtub, all the walls, doors and doorknobs, counter surfaces.....EVERYTHING was filthy beyond belief. I demanded a different room, but sadly (and surprisingly) this hotel was completely booked. The hotel manager made zero effort to have housekeeping do a quick clean. My fiance and I went and bought cleaning supplies and for over 2 hours we cleaned until we at least felt comfortable enough to touch anything in this room bare handed. If you're OK feeling like you're about to sleep in a room where a few porn videos were shot then this hotel is what you're looking for. I was thankful that my tetanus shots were current.

I got to the OYO in Sulphur,La. On July 30th and was told that there was no rooms available. I said I had a reservation and the clerk was rude in the way she spoke to me and told me she needed to see the address. I pulled the up the Email up on my phone and she was on the phone with someone speaking in her native tongue and I had to wait to show her the email with the address and the confirmation that I had she said the only room she had was a room with four beds and she could let me have that one and I told her no, I went and got another place to stay. I will not be reserving any more rooms at this establishment.

I travel for work, and spend probably 3/4 of the year in hotels. This is by FAR the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.. When I walked by several rooms on my way to mine, the doors were open, and there was so much stuff in these rooms, that it looked like the people had been living there for years. There were crackheads roaming around the property. The side doors didn’t shut/lock. And had probably been that way for years. So people were walking through the hotel at all hours of the night.. Several arguments/fights happened right in front of the lobby, in the parking lot, and staff literally watched, like it was a normal everyday occurrence.. There were cockroaches in the fridge, kitchen sink, and bathtub.. The blankets on the bed had probably 10-15 holes that I could fit my fingers right through. So those probably should’ve been changed out at least 5 years ago.. I’m sure I’m forgetting things. But it is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life.
