The House of Juniper was great. We were in the main house. Our room was very nice and we had a comfortable nights rest. The amenities at the manse are great- a sauna, outdoor shower, and a good restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.

A nice location from which to explore Isle of Skye. The spa area was perfect at the end of the day. Breakfast was excellent and better than typical fare.

We had the MacKinnon room. It was a beautiful room with a great view. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom floors were heated. The window only opens a crack and bugs and flies get in because they dont have any screens. Great water pressure. There is a steam room and sauna that you can use. There was only one guy working the desk and the bar.ans was able to handle my request for a fan quickly. The breakfast that was included was delicious. They have really good food and service in there. I would recommend this property.

House of Juniper is a beautiful upscale property located on the Isle of Skye. The interior has been completely remodeled along a Scandinavian scheme. Nice touches include the rainfall shower, heated bathroom floors in the rooms as well as a sauna and steam room in the building. We stayed in one of the more expensive suites. It was on the 3rd floor (no elevator) so we left our larger suitcase in our car. As constructive criticism, I'd recommend hanging another mirror in the room, getting a bigger table for the coffee machine and finding a better place for the chest of drawers (currently under the only hanging rack in the room). The included breakfast is outstanding. Our first day, we had an early start and the manager was very helpful by taking our breakfast order the night before so we could eat right when they opened. We ate in the restaurant one night as well and it was excellent too. We enjoyed the Juniper House very much and would stay again.

Views overlooking the water; most comfortable beds ever! We felt totally pampered! Spa includes steam room and sauna- and was exceptionally clean and inviting. Location is quiet and away from the fray of Portree yet has all the conveniences nearby. On site restaurant is excellent!! Breakfast was included in our stay, and was delicious, presented beautifully. They’ve anticipated details like having a rinse off outdoor shower and gear drying racks for muddy bikers and hikers. Can’t rave enough about this exceptional accommodation!

We stayed in a classic room which was nicely decorated, clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The onsite restaurant, The Sprigg, was across the parking lot and we checked in and out there with the staff since there was no staff member at the Manse. We were impressed that the staff seemed to all be able to help guests both at The Sprigg and the Manse. It made the experience seem very personal and inviting. The Health Suite was impressive, but we did not use the facilities due to our schedule. I would definitely plan for this next time. We stayed 2 nights and thus had 2 breakfasts at The Sprigg included with our stay which were absolute culinary delights!

This was a very nice property. Management and staff were helpful,friendly and professional. Room was very clean. King sized bed was very comfortable. Room slightly smaller than normal. Bathroom very good. Restaurant was rxcellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. The breakfast and food in the restaurant were excellent. We had a spacious sea view room on the top floor and also enjoyed the sauna and steam room. Only tiny complaints…should supply two pillows per guest and there were no washcloths.

So happy we made a last minute booking at House of Juniper! We stayed in a beautiful and spacious en suite with a sea view (not just a glimpse but an actual view of the nearby ocean complete with great window ventilation to enjoy the sea breeze). Broadford area was definitely sleepy/quiet compared to Portree but front desk had helpful recommendations and there was a great restaurant with local seafood directly across the street. Didn’t get to enjoy it myself but loved the takeaway bar on site at House of Jupiter as well. Spa/Sauna area was much appreciated after a long drive from Edinburgh, as well as the luxurious shower, cozy (electric) fireplace, and heavenly linens. Highly recommend!

Four of us (all adults) stayed two nights here and had booked the hotel months in advance. This was our favorite hotel on our 10-day trip through England and Scotland ... it's beautiful and provides the perfect spot to just breathe and watch the sun set near the water. The chickens and ducks provided an entertaining start to each morning! The bed was so comfortable and the room was decorated simply, but beautifully. We ate dinner at the Sprig restaurant and really enjoyed it, especially the sticky toffee pudding! The location was fantastic, too ... we easily caught a bus from the ferry in Armadale to get there, to Portree for a tour of the Isle, and to Kyle of Lochalsh ... it was an easy base of our adventure!

Lovely room with king bed and small refrigerator in the room along with a kettle and tea/coffee. There is no air conditioning and the upper windows only open two inches or so. This may be an issue in the summer or for someone who likes their room cold. Due to having to keep the window open, there was a loud barking dog in the evening and early morning. Overall, an excellent room if the small details above don’t bother you

On the positive end I have to say that the bed was very comfortable but the room was very cramped. When I booked it I was promised a room with a garden view. Unfortunately, when we looked out the window it was gravel and a parking space with a rock wall and not for our car. Our room was in the main entrance and at the foot of a set of stairs thus it was not peaceful and quiet. Next door, however, there was a restaurant and that is were we had excellent breakfasts. The location is great for day trips and hikes on the Isle of Skye. I feel there was false advertising about this room “without a view” and for the price we were disappointed.

We stayed 2 nights at the House of Juniper and loved every second. The staff and owners were so welcoming and kind, and the house/grounds itself are beautiful. The room was gorgeous, with small attention to detail and style that made our stay that much more enjoyable. The restaurant had just opened when we stayed, and we agreed that the Sunday roast was one of the best that we have in the UK. The complimentary breakfast menu was also above and beyond what we were expecting, with fresh local ingredients on offer. We have already recommended House of Juniper to our friends and family, and will most definitely be back ourselves. 10/10!

When we arrived, a note said to meet staff at their new restaurant (The Sprig) in the converted church. The staff were friendly and helpful, got us settled in quickly and made space for us in their very popular and underrated restaurant. The staff was very helpful through the stay. Owner is wonderful and talked about history of the buildings. I will stay here again in the future.

First time in Skye and my stay at House of Juniper helped make it a fantastic break. Nothing but positive things to say. Staff fantastic, the Sprig restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back

This was a very nice property. Management and staff were helpful,friendly and professional. Room was very clean. King sized bed was very comfortable. Room slightly smaller than normal. Bathroom very good. Restaurant was rxcellent.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with incredible history. Receptionist was so friendly and helpful and explained everything to us as well as took us on a tour. Restaurant was fantastic, the manager was a bit surly but the food well made up for the manager’s attitude.

The absolute worst experience ever!!! Something unexpected came up during our travels that delayed our arrival time by a few minutes and they did not accept to help us. They didn't accommodate us, left us out in the middle of the night in peak touristic season, and refused to grant a refund for a service they did not provide.

This was a last minute addion to our trip and we are glad we made it. Excy location, clean and friendly and terrific food having a full service restaurant on premises made breakfast and dinner a treat. Great loft bar area as well. Easy place to use as bade for southern Skye.

Four of us (all adults) stayed two nights here and had booked the hotel months in advance. This was our favorite hotel on our 10-day trip through England and Scotland ... it's beautiful and provides the perfect spot to just breathe and watch the sun set near the water. The chickens and ducks provided an entertaining start to each morning! The bed was so comfortable and the room was decorated simply, but beautifully. We ate dinner at the Sprig restaurant and really enjoyed it, especially the sticky toffee pudding! The location was fantastic, too ... we easily caught a bus from the ferry in Armadale to get there, to Portree for a tour of the Isle, and to Kyle of Lochalsh ... it was an easy base of our adventure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. The breakfast and food in the restaurant were excellent. We had a spacious sea view room on the top floor and also enjoyed the sauna and steam room. Only tiny complaints…should supply two pillows per guest and there were no washcloths.

All vegan breakfast was mostly sugar. Healiest thing offered was yogurt, but it was covered in sugary jam. It made forbabhungry day for us until we got out of the area. Also, no dinner reservations available in the area unless you plan 2 weeks in advance. Plan a head!

Despite the branding, this is not a luxury accommodation. I had to get a room last minute after another property cancelled. For the high nightly rate, there were a number of amenities that this property lacks. There is no shampoo or conditioner in the room, Only two pillows, no mini fridge, no daily housekeeping. These are all things that come standard even in budget hotels. At this price point, I would also expect a hot breakfast (not flavorless overnight oats and stale pre packaged pastries). There is coffee in the rooms but only a few mugs and spoons that you’ll need to reuse. This is a beautiful property and the staff were all very nice but it is terrible value and absolutely not luxurious.

Very clean and well appointed room with albeit perhaps a bit small. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice restaurant and food. I’d certainly stay there again but I’d likely opt for one of the lodges as friends had booked this and it looked more spacious, quieter and better value.
