Super 8 by Wyndham Butte MT

The room was clean and comfortable. There are quite a few restaurants, gas stations near by. They advertise as pet friendly, however the property has NO grass. I had to walk a block over to a bank to let my dogs relieve themselves as they would not go on concrete or rocks. After dinner we took a trip the Butte dog park, only 5 mins away. Breakfast was average (carbs and yogurt is all that’s offered), coffee was good. Got a good nights rest and shower before hitting the road again. I would not stay here again if traveling with dogs, but humans only would be okay.

The gentleman at the front desk who has a cat was very friendly & accommodating. However, there was no parking anywhere - not a space to be had. We had to park down the street & around the corner. There were no areas for dogs to potty either unless they like standing on rocks. You can also hear people walking and talking like the floors were made of cardboard. It was ok for the price.

It was easy to register; however, the clerk was very apathetic. The room is quit small; sink so small can't have my brush or anything else on it. Bathroom is very old and not the cleanest. The tv is very difficult to operate. audio keeps going in and out; every channel you choose, there are 8 or 10 commercials before the program starts. Worthless. Asked for bottom floor, because my husband and I are elderly. Was told no rooms on the bottom floor available and no elevator. I will not stay here again.

Parking lot had potholes 6' in diameter

Bathroom toilet broken. Say dog friendly but there is no where to take you're dog to the bathroom. People out in parking lot drinking and throwing beer cans on the ground. Broken glass all over.

I have been coming to this Super 8 for years. It has definitely changed. The garbage outside the doors was beyond full. The areas outside the entrance doors/stairwells are full of cigarette butts and dirty. The smell of marijuana is the stairwells is frustrating. The rooms are in great need of updating. On. the positive side the staff are great and accommodating. Since I have to travel alot to Butte, the price is reasonable and I would stay here again for that reason along with a nice staff.

Two of the 4 exterior entrance doors did not work. The 2 that did were only 10 feet apart leading to the same staircase, made for limited access, not good for people with mobility issues. Also, the continental breakfast was ok, has been better in the past, not more items, just better selection. The waffle iron was very slow, just a standard house model(?) Bed was clean and comfortable.

Having stayed in multiple motels over the past 50 years, the room ranked amount the top 3 dirtiest and disgusting. The Expedia ratings did not match what we experienced. The room had the toilet plugged and feces and urine all over the toilet seat and floor. We immediately complained and were offered another room. The next one had urine on the toilet, the shower unit had hair on the base, the partly used shower bottles were left on the tub, the floor was dirty. The bed sheets had debris on them, the carpet also was not cleaned. We were too tired to get another motel so stuck it out for the night. The bathroom sink was partly plugged and we never dared shower. We got free entertainment as the thin walls allowed for us hear the neighbor snore all night. If that wasn't enough, you were invited to listen to anyone in a room above you as you could hear all the footsteps. This overall was a disgusting experience. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and we did check for bed beds, not noticing any. The breakfast area was good with the standard food offered by Super 8 motels. The staff seemed fine at the desk and were apologetic but unless drastic changes are made regarding cleanliness, customers like us will not return.

The room was dirty. The last guests socks were under the desk, their makeup bag was left next to the bed on the floor and there was garbage in the bathroom. Gross.

This hotel was filthy. The first room we were in smelled so strongly of chemicals that we had to move rooms and then the second room had body hair and dirt in bed. The fridge had spillage in it. Staff was nice. They were disgusting enough that as a single mom I went and rented a room at another hotel. The hotel refused to refund me.

My room smelled of urine when I walked in. The shower curtain had mold spores on it, the bathtub had a huge chunk of hair sitting in it and the trash was not emptied. The fridge did not work, my food had so much condensation on it. This visit was not great. Through my bathroom vent I could smell someone smoking marijuana.

The bathroom smelled like urine. The carpet was extremely dirty. None of the surfaces were cleaned. The air conditioner was very loud. There was no water in the break area.

Rooms smells very musty, carpets dirty why hotels still have carpets are a mystery. Breakfast very very limited.

Disgusting so felt important to share with other travelers. Many of us stay in hotels when traveling to Arizona from Canada, we all like a clean friendly place to stay. Dirty (feces) bed at the Super 8 in Butte Montana We recently had a very bad (poopy) experience at the super 8 in Butte Montana. Pulled back the covers to get some sleep after a long day travelling to find feces smeared across the sheets, yes you read that right. Called the front desk and the solution was move you to new room, second floor no elevator or change the sheets. The young fellow just kept saying not my fault. Being exhausted and unpacked we chose sheets. The fellow that brought them said i dont know how to install these…lol yup! We changed the sheets. In speaking with the manager on Wednesday as she was not available til then, Stevie said she was new and would need to speak to Mike her manager as i wanted a refund even a partial refund and she was not authorized to do so. Much more to the conversation but never an apology. I asked to speak to her manager directly but was told he would call me. Never did hear from Mike so when i called back Stevie advised me that they did everything they were obligated to do, offered a new room or change the sheets. (2nd floor room was out as currently have mobility issues) I mentioned to her that we did not even get an apology, she argued with me that she was sure that she had apologized… yes she is in training and may not have

Room 221 reeked of urine and feces when I opened the door. Carpet was disgusting, had not been vacuumed. Toilet bowl had not been cleaned. Shower curtain had mold on it. I did tell the front desk person upon checking out. Will never stay there again.

We found dirty socks under the desk, someone's makeup bag on the floor by the bed and trash behind the toilet. The other room we had for the rest of our family found used soap in the bathtub. Gross! Will never be staying there again

The room was disgusting. The carpets were so stained I was afraid to take my shoes off. The shower/tub was nasty too. There was also hair all over the bathroom floor. We will never stay there again.

Tired, old, worn. Bathroom fixtures probably at least 50 years old. The carpet looked old and dirty. I doubt they could vacuum it for 2 hours and look clean.

Outdated hallways but the room was good enough for the price and comfortable. The room above us had pretty squeaky floors so if you're a light sleeper ask for the top floor or pack Earplugs

Gave it a 3 due to the traffic noise on the front where our room was. Would stay again if on back side. Nothing fancy, could use an update but for a one night stay, it served the purpose. Cons: foot high toilets meant for small children and no place to hang a jacket. Staff were great.

Old and smelly

The bed was comfortable. The entry to our room required us to use a ramp with the luggage cart. It wasn’t as difficult as we thought. The plumbing needs an upgrade. Neither the shower nor the sink faucets were easy to use. Also, no closet or even a clothes rack. That should be a simple fix.

The room was okay, no place to hang your coat but decently clean and a pretty good bed. The room heater did its job well but was loud. Sleep was interrupted by doors closing in the hallway, someone not light on their feet upstairs--soundproofing would improve the stay. The continental breakfast was good, and the family restaurant across the road was very good for supper.

Room wasn’t ready till after 4pm - Desk should hand out ear plugs - very loud traffic noise. No place to hang clothes, no Kleenex, no iron or board, not sure why it’s called a suite - maybe because it had a recliner ?

The toilet in room 312 kept running and running. The air conditioner knob was just spinning and spinning. The room was either too hot or too cold. The TV did not work. The outside garbage cans were overflowing.

The bed spread (covers) are filthy. The desk clerk was very rude and uncaring.

I reserved this room in an emergency after fleeing a violent situation at home in the middle of the night. When I arrived at the hotel with my 10-month-old infant, I was greeted by an extremely rude staff member. After I handed her my driver's license, she saw I was a local resident. She then informed me that the hotel would not allow me to stay there per policy and I was turned away. This in itself was very upsetting. I later realized I was still charged for this room and have spent extensive time trying to have the charge reversed, still to no avail. This was the worst experience and most terrible customer service I have recieved in a very long time. Do NOT stay here!!!

We arrived at about 10pm after a long day of travel only to learn that the gal at the front desk gave our room (reservation) to somebody else. This was a room booked through Hotels.com. she admitted she made a big mistake but said the only way we could stay there is to buy another room from them. I asked for management and she said she was not going to bother the manager at home. So in the end, somebody got a free room and we had to purchase another one. I'm a gold member and i still can't get help in a reasonable time frame. I guess i should start using another app to book rooms.

Very friendly staff, easy check in, clean room, quick access from I-90. Just what we needed for a one night overnight.

At check-in, the clerk was taking his break in the lobby and told me I had to wait until he was done with his break. Then we discovered the property doesn’t have an elevator so we had to take all of our things up three flights of stairs. The bed had a long black hair in it and there wasn’t a closet to hang our dress clothes. The dining area was really nice, but there weren’t a lot of breakfast choices. On a positive note, the coffee was really good.

This hotel kindly made an exception over the phone to their non-cancellation policy, when unforeseen circumstances prevented us from coming on the day we had planned. They told us to expect a refund in 7-10 business days, and we trusted them. On the basis of that kindness, we made a new reservation with them two days later once our circumstances were resolved and we were able to go on the road. However, the promised refund never materialized. When we followed up, they refused to honor their promise - treating us as if asking for a 'new' refund from scratch, and refusing to make an exception to their policy. Look - they didn't owe us a refund, and it was a great kindness for them to make the exception. But once it was made, it was a breach of their word and integrity for them to refuse to follow up on what was promised. Don't trust these guys for anything you don't get in writing.

Where do I start this place is a joke for staying at. The floor was dirty inside our room, people running back and forth across the floor and dropping things constantly very noisy, don't recommend this motel in the slightest and the so called continental breakfast doesn't exist they have cereal, muffins and yogurt but the coffee machine wasnt working and the pancake machine was unavailable. Not a way to run a business in my opinion and definitely won't be back to this location for a motel stay.

After reading all the negative reviews, we were hesitant about staying at this Super 8. However, once we checked in, we were pleasantly surprised. We had a corner double-bed suite on the third floor, and it was probably the largest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in. While the hotel is older and not spotless, it was clean enough for a comfortable stay. Contrary to previous reviews, we noticed no unpleasant odors—our room smelled fresh, and the rest of the hotel was the same. Some reviewers mentioned things being out of order, but during our stay, everything worked fine: the ice machine, in-room refrigerator, pancake maker, and especially the air conditioner, which kept the room cool and comfortable. Considering the price and other options in Butte, this stay offered solid value. The only downside was the very limited breakfast—no hot items or fruit. If they expanded the breakfast selection, this place would be hard to beat for the price.

I think the breakfast that was provided was underwhelming. They had no protein. And they had no options for gluten-free. Only bread or bread like items were available. No eggs, no bacon, sausage

It was an ok stay. Clean rooms but outside trash is overflowing also states free breakfast and you smell bacon and pancakes but when you get down there the pancake machine is broken and just cereal and some old pastries. B CC

It was ok for a short night over. The room & decor was older & quite noisy. The breakfast was good. The staff were great.

Check in was fine; efficient. Room clean; bathroom also clean. Really liked the water flow in the tub & shower; easy to adjust water flow & temperature. Quiet room & comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Lot of selection, but no cooked food besides cold boiled eggs & waffles.
