Valet parking was awesome for only a few dollars more per day, especially with cold winter weather. Saltwater pool was awesome! Excellent service. Needs some surface maintenance but overall very good. Also great location: close to The Forks and Exchange district.

Woken by firearm going off in the middle of the night. Was a false alarm but took quite a long time to get it turned off. Sauna was not great….not hot at all!

We had called for an early check in and were told that would be no problem our room would be ready. when we arrived, we were notified that the room wasn’t ready so they could put us in a room but it would be a $50 upgrade, as we had expected to get in early we just agreed as we needed to drop our stuff off to get where we were going. Then as we left, I had made mention that had happened to us and I just felt it wasn’t really great to expect to get our room and then spend more than we had anticipated. They just said okay. No apology made. Also the elevator was not working as we left which I get stuff like that happens, we had waited at the elevator for a long time before realizing what had happened then walked about 10 flights down. Checked out and lots of people were arriving not able to get to their room without walking up. Again, I understand that things break down but no apology for the inconvenience either. Was rather disappointed with the front desk service as we’ve stayed here multiple times and love it but just didn’t find it friendly or accommodating this time round. Other than that the hotel itself is beautiful as always and the lounge is a very nice space, food is always great.

Great location if you want to be right downtown at the centre of Portage & Main. Lots of good restaurant options a short walk away -- and Hy's Steakhouse next door, accessible without having to walk outside. Nice onsite bar with interesting cocktails. Front desk and valet staff exceptional.

It’s mostly really nice. Good value in today’s expensive market. Some things are a little old, like the tub. But overall very clean. Staff was super helpful. Convenient for walking the indoor paths to other areas downtown. We did the dining experience “le petit chef “ which was fun, though a little pricey. Parking added on a considerable amount to the bill. But overall a good experience. I was surprised there wasn’t a hot tub, but the pool area was really nice and the water was warm.

Rooms require further inspection after housekeeping. Not very clean including a facecloth found under the end table! Ugh. For a Fairmont this hotel did not meet the high end quality I have stayed at in other locations. Too bad.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was quiet and comfortable. There was a stain on the carpet, and it smelled a little musty in the room. You could feel that it had been elegant back in its day. We did not use the pool or gym or restaurant.

This room conditons were subpar and not what I have come to expect from a Fairmont Hotel. Stains on carpet, frayed and worn out carpet, dated furniture and the bathroom could have been cleaner; hair on floor. One of my pillows smelled sweaty. I expected a lot more from Fairmont especially with the room rate that I paid.

The food was fantastic both dinner and breakfast. The staff were fantastic. The property and hotel were undergoing some much needed renovations. I'm sure they have plans for bringing the rooms and amenities up to date. Rooms need a much needed face lift.

Loud noises from construction. Was told I should have reviewed the website before staying, got 10% off room rate for a whopping $13. Was first offered free parking but we already had free parking in our group rate. This is November 22-23 stay. Parking voucher would be worth more.

This was a hotel I have heard about all my life and I found it underwhelming. I chose to use the valet parking for safety reasons as the parking s strangely located at the rear of the hotel. The wifi was also convoluted and when I called the front desk about being unable to access the wifi the directions I was given did not resolve the issue. The desk personnel finally gave me the passscode when I personally attended to the front desk. Charging a service fee for wifi of 15.00-25.00 for one night is absurd in 2024.

Our room had two doubles and the sleep was by far the worst we’ve ever had. The mattresses were lumpy and caved in towards the centre. Please make sure to see the beds before you commit to staying. Not worth the price we paid and will most likely find another spot to stay next trip.

The property is in need of a face lift. The service and food were excellent, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Ours had cracks in the ceiling, cracks in the shower walls, the bathroom overall was tired and run down, the panel on the wall that allows access to the HVAC unit was off the wall and sitting on the floor when we checked in, the fridge didn’t work, etc. Nothing earth shattering, but the condition of the rooms reads more like a Comfort Inn than a Fairmont.

Staff is very welcoming. Valet staff always remember us by name as we stay there for Jets games as hotel is close to arena. Highly recommend clean and comfortable and very walkable.

Great location if you want to be right downtown at the centre of Portage & Main. Lots of good restaurant options a short walk away -- and Hy's Steakhouse next door, accessible without having to walk outside. Nice onsite bar with interesting cocktails. Front desk and valet staff exceptional.

Hotel is nice but dated. Had some frustrations related to construction and work in rooms close by. We were advised at check in of ongoing works and expected some noise after 8am, however works started earlier which was frustrating.

Staff was excellent. Construction around hotel was annoying as many sidewalks were closed and had to walk far away to cross street. Wifi was poor quality and not very fast. Could not download movies in advance of plane trip. Visited friends staying at Humphrey inn and their wifi was better quality

Staff was very friendly. Restaurant was very poor. Took well over a hour for eggs. They didn’t charge us but that’s completely unreasonable. Food was sub par when it arrived. Bathroom in the hotel room had large cracks and pealing ceiling.

The room was very comfortable; lived the shower. We ate meals in the lounge restaurant and had excellent food, drink and service. Hotel is walking distance from several museums and a short taxi ride to Fork Park venues and train station. We could have walked there as well, but the sidewalks were icy and we had luggage.

Beds were really nice! Rooms were clean but definitely showing their age. Staff were fantastic! A fresh coat of paint and a few in room upgrades would go along way. There is also no mini bar in the room anymore. Dining at the hotel is severely over priced.

The only issue is that the temperature outside had warmed up and they hadn’t switched over to cooling yet, and my room was hooooot. They sent someone twice but there wasn’t much they could do as ac wasn’t on yet.

Staff - front desk folks were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. One particular individual, Arish was the one who stood out for me. His kind, calm demeanor and bright smile calmed me when I informed him of my delayed flight. He offered a coffee and water and made sure I had a workspace at the Lounge. Lounge - I had dinner at the lounge on Tuesday evening, and the waiter was so accommodating with my dietary restrictions. He didn't make me feel like I was a nuisance or strange for asking for a customized meal. I regret not taking his name, so he too, can get recognized for his outstanding service. A big Thank you to the chef that prepared my meal just how I wanted it! Front door staff - They are all wonderful no matter the time of day, and I felt that they were always so helpful and caring and making sure that I was cared for.
