The Streamline Hotel - Daytona Beach

Such a cool historic hotel and walking distance to the main beach entry and boardwalk. The rooftop bar and restaurant had spectacular views and food! Go! You’ll love it! I’ve told everyone that I know about it!

Good place to stay for a good price. Clean and comfortable rooms. Unfortunately there was no parking. The staff was unable to help me directing me to park in a grassy field away from the hotel. I was unwilling to do that so I just waited for someone to leave.

Awesome rooftop bar and bartenders! That is the highlight. However, they have 44 rooms and 23 parking spots (and priority goes to those going to events at roofs at, not guests); people blast music in their rooms at 3 a.m.; there is a $10/day resort fee; and you can’t charge snack and drinks to room (cash only). But you can walk to beach and good Italian restaurant next door. An interesting experience and glad I went but it’s one time thing.

I love the esthetics of the hotel, vintage charm... and it was clean. However, our room was on the 2nd floor and we heard doors slamming ALL. NIGHT. LONG. And it sounded like an elephant walking around in the room above us. The beds left much to be desired and the pool was not open, on Memorial Day weekend. I was disappointed to say the least. The staff on the other hand was extremely courteous and helpful!

They do have a small parking lot, with a public access bar on top. Make sure you snag a parking spot before it’s all full. Our stay was wonderful, with a top view of the beach and walking distant from the beach. There is several fast food/restaurants in walking distance as well. While checking in, it was a breeze, no issues very sweet staff.

My floor in the room was dirty/sandy, but the rest was nice. I was on the bottom floor so the noise from the party on the rooftop was not a problem. The pool was uninviting.

No light in the roof bathroom or are room. Called ased about pool was told it was open but it was closed. What was the resort feefor ifthe pool is closed?

One of the only hotels available when evacuating, it was disgusting. There were only 5 cars total in the parking lot. Elevator was busted. Floors of the room were wet and the AC was dripping every few seconds like water torture. They had a bucket to catch the leak. Called and asked if there was another room available and she said they were sold out. The moldy smell of the room kept me from getting any sleep. The entrance to the hotel was also an accident waiting to happen, slipped multiple times.

The location was great. We got a room with 3 beds which worked out great for us. We loved it there until our last day. When we woke early to prepare for the day, the water was turned off. The elevator was out of order and we had to haul our suitcases down 4 flights of steps- not an easy feat for 3 seniors. No one in sight to help us. We got lost on the first floor. Couldn’t figure out how to get to the lobby. Ended up in staff quarters, had to go outside, up another flight of stairs and back inside to check out. While checking out, the computer wasn’t working properly and had to wait quite a while to get a receipt printed out! Desk staff(young male) seemed un-empathetic to our situation.

What a wonderful time. I love, love this hotel. The SKY rooftop is beautiful because you see the city and the beach view.

There are only about 20 parking spots for 40+ rooms. I checked in a few minutes after booking the room and had to wait about 15 minutes to check in. No big deal, they have a pretty nice sitting area up front and the hotel is NASCAR themed. Get checked into room 405 and notice that there is hair all over the bathroom and floor. No way that bathroom was cleaned but they did put a sanitized sticker on the toilet; which was also not clean. I the notice water on the floor by the dresser. Open the door and the mini fridge inside is leaking. Go down stairs and let the front desk know. She comes up about 20 minutes later with pool towels and unplugs the fridge and wipes up the mess. She apologized and said they couldn’t move us because they were full. Ok fine, no big deal. Sit down and then I hear a dripping sound, the ac unit is steady dripping on the floor. Go backdown stairs and ask for a pool towel. I put that down to dry the floor, the ac unit dripped all night. We went out to have dinner and got back to the room late. When I pulled the sheets back I was disgusted! The sheets were so dirty I couldn’t lay on them. Stains and hair everywhere. NO WAY those sheets were clean and the pillow cases were also gross! I put my beach towel down and tried to stay on that all night. Worst night of “sleep” Ive have in a long time. They do have a cool outdoor area but you can’t access it in the morning to see the sunrise. Oh and the health department shut the pool down. WONT STAY HERE AGAIN!

I love the old building, great design inside with the silver sparkling. NASCAR memorabilia. Bar on the main floor and rooftop. Great place to stay if you like to party. Right across from the beach. The room was on the smaller side. Even though recently updated… not very clean. There was black mold by the air conditioner/ on the wall. In the bathroom pink mold in the shower and on the floor by the shower

Pros: Affordable. Friendly staff. The rooftop was nice and the location is great. Close to the beach, boardwalk and many restaurants and activities. Cons: Bedding was soiled, room was dated and needed a deep cleaning. We had to switch rooms because housekeeping wasn’t available. Couldn’t park in the paved lot and had to park in a grassy area behind the property which was an inconvenience and seemed sketchy at night. Definitely a party hotel. Very noisy.

When we arrived at the hotel there was no one at the front desk and there were two parties waiting ahead of us. We waited about 5 minutes and asked the other parties if they'd at least seen someone and they responded that they hadn't. I decided to call the hotel on my cell phone to see if someone would come answer the phone and that's when a lady showed up finally. I hung up so she would start helping the guests. The room we were assigned was in steerage, the basement floor, room 109. We got to the room and one of the pillows looked like it had been slept on, and the sheets looked like they'd been slept on. The coverlet at the end of the bed was filthy with 'something' on it. I went back to the front desk and showed her the photos of the bedding, she did 'upgrade' us to a city view room, room 306 (which is what I reserved in the first place) without any additional cost she said... well I should hope not, since that's what I booked online. When we got to the upgraded room, it was sparse furnishings, one lone stacking chair to sit on other than the bed, the room was in disrepair. The floor had a cherry stem at the end of the bed, and the sink at the counter was dirty with some sludge running down the side. Needless to say, we did not stay the night. Since we had an event to go to, we used the room to store our belongings until after the event, then drove the 1.5 hours home so as not to have to stay. We stayed there before, with no complaints... things are different now!

The room is dirty, the pool is full of sand, the elevator is difficult to take Because people from outside go up to the terrace , Upon arrival, they charged me a deposit of 200 dollars and it's been 4 days and I haven't returned it. The only good thing is the staff in the lobby, they treat you very well. You shouldn't go on weekends with your children because they have parties on the terrace and you can't sleep because of the music until 2 in the morning. In short, I would not recommend it. I will never return.

Great price for so close to the best parts of the beach. But rooms are small, dark and not well cleaned. Tons of non-smoking signs but the room smelled of smoke.

Had to change rooms 3 times all the beds had hair n pet hair n looked like dead fleas or bed bugs gross

The staff was pleasant but the white chair they have in the room is in desperate need of cleaning and didn't even want to sit in it. The walls had so many spots of chipped paint along with dirty marks on the walls. White paint shouldn't be used. Great area.

If you are looking for a place to sleep, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! There is a rooftop bar and the entire building shakes due to the music and bass. Anytime a guest goes in and out of their room, or the exit doors no matter where you are in the hall, it SLAMS SO LOUD. This went on every 5-10 minutes. I asked to be moved but they said the only room available was near the rooftop. 3. No iron. What hotel does not have an iron? 4. Dirty stained wash cloths. Gross. 5. Run down and old furnishings. 6. Water pressure is terrible. I will say that the bed was comfortable but what is a comfortable bed if doors are slammed all night long and you can’t sleep. The pictures on the website look nice but it does look run down. The only other plus is the staff are all nice. I will not stay here again though.

Beds are super comfy. Thankfully can’t really hear the traffic as it was some truck weekend thing. The rooftop bar was cool and the pool was nice too. Loved the art deco vibe of the hotel. Not in the hotels control but the neighbors were noisy - yelling and slamming doors all night long. Partying with small children.

Rooms are small. If you are on the 4th floor you can hear the thumping from the Dj's music from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 AM everyday. Also no microwave in the room, no ice machine, cleanliness was just OK.

Cool hotel. Convenient to the beach and the ballpark. Roof top bar wasn't open (only Thursday to Saturday), although the lounge in the lobby was okay. Wifi is very slow (marginally better than being on 5g). Staff was helpful when I needed to print something out.

Shower was awful. Too low for a tall person and no water pressure. Rooms very tight. Rooftop bar concept is week with bad hip hop music playing. Great spot for high school kids...that's about it.

Very nice stay at this recently renovated historic hotel. Rooftop Bar had beautiful views. Rooms were small but serviceable. Beds were very soft. Some of the employees seemed to be new. Coffee pot was broken but immediately replaced. Refrigerator and coffee pot only in rooms (no microwave). Great proximity to beach and raceway. Would recommend.

Check in was very nice and fast! The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfy and amazing we actually overslept. Very quiet in the hallways only little noise from outside traffic but it didn’t bother us. We will definitely be back!!

Our neighbor was very loud and annoying playing loud music etc.. check in was very difficult was lead me to be to charge 3 times

The entire staff was welcoming and professional. I had a late checkin due to a delayed flight and missing my conncetion. They set me up immediately to make sure I'd walk in and get my room no matter the time.

I stay here quiet often, Eddie at the front desk is always friendly and gets us checked in fast. He always says hello as we come and go from the hotel. The rooftop bar is great as well, the bartender Tabitha always makes our drinks on point and great conversation. Plenty of eating places that are walkable.

There was an issue with the room key machine all day made it very inconvenient as we couldn't get in the rooms unless someone escorted us.

The woman at the front desk was very rude, wouldn’t get off her cellphone and was constantly rolling her eyes. I will never be back here

Stood at front desk well over 15 mins to check in even called multiple times while standing there no answer. Finally get checked in and in room and blanket on bed had hair woven into it , also even tho shower had double shower head found on first night neither worked only dropped, went to front desk told worker and was told be put in another room for my 2nd night n wasn't. Best part was location to Daytona boardwalk and the pool was amazing

Everyone was very nice.I'm very respectful and also a very special shout out to the AM morning front desk person if I ever had to deal with a person, it would definitely be somebody like him. He was great in every aspect

Got here a little early and the staff was very accommodating! They let us park in the parking area until the room was ready. Extremely clean hotel! Walking distance to many things. Staff went above and beyond helping me find a great Mexican restaurant. Definitely will be staying here again,!!

The front desk staff was wonderful, the hotel has a rooftop bar, and a cool coffee/pastry truck with seating outside. Unless you like being half underground, I do not recommend rooms on the first floor, which is actually down one level from the entrance. The view from room 109 was eye level with the ground. One window looked on a generator or ac unit and stray tanks and tools, the other window looked onto the sidewalk and road. The area outside my room looked like a cement storage closet with spare chairs and cleaning carts. Other advice is avoid the 4th floor as it is right under the rooftop bar. I stayed here because it is walking distance to the Peabody Auditorium. Even though I walked (<.5 miles) at 7 pm on a Friday night, I felt safer in New Orleans than I did walking to the venue and even took a Lyft back since the front desk advised me not to walk back after 10 p.m. There are some nice elements to the hotel but my room was below average and because of my overall experience, I would not stay here again.

Interior of the property was nice. Room was very small. Enjoyed the historical nature of the property but the area is sketchy!! Vagrants and homeless all around.

This is a unique property. the property is probable as old a Daytona Beach itself. Its not on the beach, but right across the street. Beautiful view of the beach and the strip from the roof top lounge.

This mostly falls on the city, not the hotel, but they really need to do a better job on controlling the homelessness. Not that they are all going to attack you but my girlfriend who's never been to Daytona was a little scared as we walked and just saw them everywhere. She felt very unsafe.

We came from Orlando for one night for my sister 57th birthday, ended up staying another day. We are directly across from the water. The rooftop restaurant/bar gives you full view of the water and city. We had 2 bedroom suite which is so quaint and beautiful. Walking distance to restaurant, bars and stores. I will definitely be back. Oh, yeah they had a live DJ on the rooftop and Sunday is brunch $25 with Mimosas!!

Fascinating building with interesting history as the birthplace of NASCAR. Facilities were of a very good standard. Would have liked a breakfast option.

Cute retro hotel. Clean and comfortable. However, no breakfast here, hotel description does not say roof top bar. Also one of the windows in the bedroom at the foot of the king bed, is not sealed. Wind that sounds like a whistle is coming through. I don't expect to get any sleep.

What a wonderful time. I love, love this hotel. The SKY rooftop is beautiful because you see the city and the beach view.
