The good: Plenty of parking Staff member at reception was friendly. The bad. Room Upstairs with no lift. Narrow stairs. Toilet door in room wouldn’t close properly. Lots of confusion at breakfast if hot meal as per card on tables were included in rate, some staff struggled with language, appears english may be 2nd language. Lots of building work by front door, walked out to contractors asking me to use other door, (better communication)

Crossways is a good find. They have invested well to create a comfortable hotel with all the right amenities, a decent restaurant and, best of all, a really good set of 4 EV chargers. They're 7kW which is ideal for a relaxed overnight charge and very reasonably priced.

We enjoyed our stay at Crossways, the staff were friendly and polite however we had to draw attention to the room being dusty and the shower not working properly. They were very apologetic and cleaned the room immediately, however it was a weekend stay with no maintenance workers so we had to make do with the shower. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The free breakfast was excellent and the evening meal was enjoyable and not overpriced. I found it difficult to use the Rolec EV chargers on site and the hotel had no information to help. Eventually I found the 'Monta Charge' app on Playstore and it was free to charge which was a bonus. Overall a very enjoyable stay and I would recommend this Inn.

Second time we’ve been here with our Poodle. Nice place, friendly staff, good good, good bar and charging for EVs… Everything we need!

A truly remarkable hotel in a quiet corner of Somerset, yet within minutes of Wells and Glastonbury. Oh, and the views from the roof terrace bar are wonderful!

A really lovely hotel with friendly staff. We had an executive double which was a good size with an excellent bathroom. A big bath which was very welcome. The location is quiet with some lovely country views. There is a spacious outside terrace perfect for catching a sunset. Breakfast was also enjoyable. If travelling by car this is a perfect base location.

Poor to average food, a little soulless for such an old building with limited accessibility for wheelchair users. Not awful but wouldn’t stay here again out of choice.

Lovely property, very spacious double bedroom with jacuzzi bath. The bath filters needed cleaning as left some residue in the bath when turned on and the blind on the door was broken, but it was shut so that wasn’t terrible and neither detracted from our stay. Loved the room. Very clean and spacious. No smart tv so couldn’t watch Netflix or Disney. The only thing that lets the place down is the breakfast. My husband didn’t like his salmon and scrambled eggs on toast- said the toast wasn’t great quality and the eggs were bland. Mine was not bad - not exceptional but still tasty.

Not enough staff had to ask for dinner and drinks order to be taken 20 mins later. Service very slow. All in all not very impressed, certainly not 4*

Lovely large bedrooms and spotlessly clean. I didn’t eat at hotel but husband and children said food in evening was average but a nice breakfast with lots of choice.

The room was ready 2 hours before the time that was stated on the hotels app. When we got into the room the room was completely dirty. My partner had to clean the room before going to the toilet as there were marks over the toilet and hairs all over the sink and inside the bath. marks and stains on the walls like coffee that had ran down the walls and dried.

Totally unacceptable from this hotel. We had booked to stay with a 6 year old child and was informed a function was happening at the hotel on the night and everything would be done to keep us away from the noise of the function. We accepted that a bit of noise is tolerated. However on checking in and being given our room key we were right by the main stairwell and directly above the DJ's speakers for the Christmas party that was happening. the noise in the room was totally unbearable even with ear plugs in as the speakers were right under the bed the music could be heard as clear as being in the actual function room. We spoke to the worker Hope who was very apologetic and accepted the noise in the room was very loud but there were no other rooms available and she was unable to assist in cancelling and refunding for the booking and I would need to speak with the general manager regarding this. We informed Hope that we have a young child and it was too loud at 2030 hours to stay in the room and it would only get louder as the party were still eating their food and singing and shouting was only going to make the noise even worse. This was at 2100 hours and we had a 6 year old child with a Christmas family trip booked for the next day and was already tired after travelling for 4 hours to get there, I had to book another hotel as staying was simply not an option. General manager was shocking saying I would have got 8hours sleep and would not refund. Shocking from everyone involved

Room was lovely, four poster bed was so comfy and the corner bath was delightful too! The food was also very tasty, definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in the area

A great find! Lovely hotel with oversized rooms.

Room walls were thin, and opening & closing doors and conversations were clearly audible. Otherwise quite comfortable, though bed was a bit too firm for my tastes.

Check in was quick and easy. Room was lovely. Spacious and comfortable. Spa bath was a nice extra. Shower cubicle was very small. Food was superb. Excellent quality generous portions and good value especially curry night.

Waited 35 mins for someone to come to reception to book in, phoned 3 times from reception but no answer. Poor wifi reception in room 109

Crossways is a gem of a hotel with wonderful views of Glastonbury Tor and the surrounding countryside. The beds are comfortable and Internet access is very good. Everywhere is very clean and the staff are generally very good. There was just one morning when the staff lost track of who still needed to order their breakfasts. Talking of tracks the road to the hotel from Pilton is single track but it is worth the care needed to get there.

Stayed at the Crossway which is in a small village near Shepton Mallet. Lovely hotel and lovely, friendly staff. Very nice food and convenient for Wells, Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury

My colleagues and I used the Crossways Hotel as a base for three days. We were so impressed by the quality of the hotel in terms decor and furnishings. In addition the food and service was excellent. I am happy to strongly recommend this hotel

This stay was fabulous. The facility was clean and well kept. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The dining on sight was very good and always an option for a meal when we at the hotel. The best part of our stay was the staff, they were extremely polite and attentive to any issues that we may be having.

Great place and great staff the manager was the most helpful guy.

We had a lovely time. We only stayed one night, the staff were excellent and the evening meal just perfect. The only dissapointment was the breakfast experience , The girl who booked us in was very detached . Once she had said her speel which was quicker than a lidl checkout and i couldnt understand her ,her interest was gone and sadly the breakfast was cold . If they could capture in the morning what they do in the evening i would then say it was excellent.

First, the good: excellent value for a 5* hotel in this area. Room was fine, service was excellent. Breakfast was very good. The service provided at reception (Prashant) and he came and fixed the TV which was, initially, not working. Similarly service at breakfast (Anaiya & Max) was also excellent and friendly. Both groups couldn't do enough to help. Next, the could do better: signposting from car park to reception could be clearer (I walked all round the building dragging my suitcase). Washbasin would not empty, so I left it full each day - although emptied, it was not fixed during my 6 night stay. Would I come again ? YES

We stayed here last minute and were not disappointed. The Crossways is in a lovely small village overlooking Glastonbury Tor. It is large and slightly at odds with its surroundings being a vastly extended old pub. The room was cookie cutter immaculate with excellent shower room. The roof terrace and its views on a sunny evening for a drink was gorgeous. Only unexpected surprise was unappetising rubbery scrambled eggs and under par full English breakfast. Otherwise highly recommended.for an overnight stay.

The place was quite beautiful, well preserved and tasteful. The only thing that we didn't like was the breakfast and check out hours, which ended at 10 AM (most places will let you stay until 11). If you choose this hotel, know that it is very isolated, a car is needed.

A beautiful clean hotel in the middle of nowhere which made it even better! Travelled down for a wedding at Pennard Farm and didnt know what to expect but a really lovely place. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and breakfast was beautiful. A truly pleasant stay.

Overall a good stay. Room for 4 people was nice and clean, the view from the window wasn't the best-overlooking the roof of the hotel, but we were only staying 1 night.. the restaurant food was good but we waited a long time due to ordering system fault.. however, the restaurant manager has sorted the problem out and offered us drinks on the house. Breakfast was very good and you can order a'la carte. Good stay overall.

Comfortable and nice place. Food was very average to low quality. Everything else was very nice.

It was good to return again. The room was lovely and a good supply of lighting brightened it up as windows were quite small. The only criticism we had was the breakfast. The bacon especially didn’t appear to be grilled, the sausages were average, the mushrooms possibly tinned and not fresh, the hash browns were oily and over cooked. The rolls used for the Eggs Benedict were not pleasant and again the bacon was tough and hard. Bread needed to be toasted twice. This is meant to be honest feedback on things which could be improved with minor adjustments. It was a shame that only tinned fruit was on offer. The coffee and tea selection was great.

Spent 2 nights here on a short break. Lovely hotel really comfortable bed. Good breakfast. We ate here in the evenings as well and had great food at reasonable prices each time. Would definitely recommend it!
