Super 8 by Wyndham Bishop

We just needed a place to stay for the night and it didn’t disappoint, had a working ice machine a clean pool. Nice like stop for us to rest at.

Parking close to room. Good continental breakfast.

Rooms are decent. Check in quick. Parking is tight.

Pool was very dirty

As seems to be the case a lot these days, the pool looked to be open but wasnt. Not sure why a sign couldnt be put out saying so.

1. Room was clean & did not smell like smoke like some other places in Bishop 2. Parking was close by room 3. Ice maker worked & they had laundry facilities 4. Hot water was hot 5. Microwave was nice 6. Breakfast was good

Easy check-in and check-out. Parking was not an issue. The room was clean.

Not kept up. Pool and facilities were run down and dirty.

Pool was green and roaches everywhere

The floors were filthy. The vents on the air conditioner were full of dust and dirt. The pool was cloudy and the area around it had garbage. And don’t get me started on the guest laundry area! Pure filth!! We decided to not stay the additional night because we didn’t fill comfortable one more night. The employee that checked us in wasn’t very friendly either.

It was clean.

Large roach-size bugs in room. Killed many through-out the night. One found one bed! I did address it with the front desk in the morning... Actually showing him the dead bugs I fished out of the the trash can. He just blew my concerns off...said it was August.

The AC wasn't on when we arrived in the room so it was sweltering. It was very uncomfortable after hours of traveling on a hot day. Eventually, the AC cooled off the room but it was very loud and disrupted our sleep all night long so we were exhausted the next day. The bathroom floor, sink, bathtub and carpet around the bathroom was covered in ants. Full ant trails! My daughter had difficulty sleeping because she was worried that ants were going to crawl on her. I found one ant on my bed and found an ant crawling on my neck. I asked for a different room because of the ant issue and was told there are no more rooms. Then he asked if I had used the bathroom. I said yes, that is how we discovered the ants. Then he told me he can't give me another room because we had used the bathroom. But I thought there were no more rooms available?? Anyway, he then he handed a spray can of raid ant killer to solve the problem. : / One of the bed covers had white gunk smeared on it so we removed it and placed in on the chair in the room. We wouldn't sit on the chair anyway because it was extremely stained. The carpet behind the dresser and microwave looked like it has never been cleaned. It was obvious that this place is just used as a quick stop over for people traveling through the area. When we arrived in the lobby for breakfast, there was almost nothing left. I had to hunt someone down and ask if they can restock what they have. I returned the raid spray at check out. They were unfazed.

Room was very clean. Thank you to the maid service.

Breakfast was very poor-almost nothing to eat. The room was not cleaned well-I found a filthy underwear which the previous customer might leave. Not recommend.

The bathroom was dirty. The tub was full of long dark hair. The a/c heater made loud noise when it was on.

Worn down Woke up with infestation of ants on the bed and corner tables.

The bedding was dirty. The walls were filthy. The carpet was dirty and looks like it just needs to be ripped out already. One towel had a stain on it. Countertop around the sink had stains which I cleaned with antibacterial wipes. Never again. It’s obviously the price that brings you in. If you want a bed, shower and a toilet then this is it. Guess I learned my lesson.

The floors were dirty. Paint peeling on bathroom door plus the door was dirty. Porcelain cracked and missed in the sink and a very old faucet unit that was difficult to use. Porcelain missing i the dirty bath tub. Office personnel hard to understand as tey are Hindu. Remote didn't work for the tv as it kept falling apart. Beds very uncomfortable. Room needs updating and major painting. Recommend you drop them from Hotel.com or send someone to inspect the rooms. Jack Mitchell Unable to attach photos

Owner should be ashamed. Mold and mildew in the shower, tub/shower fixtures not working correctly, hole in the ceiling where some fixture should be, the toilet seat has a chip in it, the sink and tub both have chips in them, the sun comes through the holes in the curtains, the handrail that leads up the stairs looks like it has dirt, oil, and food on it…under the stairs it looks like people have been urinating…the whole building needs painting and general upkeep. None of these observations require a critical eye!

Television did not work. I was too tired to ask them to fix it.

Rooms were clean, but not well maintained. Several light fixtures did not work.

The place its old and it sits literally next to the highway, you can hear trucks and cars at night its to noise

The stay was really nice. The room was clean, but the A/C was basically non-existent.

Rooms need to be renovated. Was clean but outdated. The spider webs above the windows and corners of the room could be cleaned also

Not a pleasant stay, old and dilapidated property in need of a total upgrade. Not worth the price to stay there. Sorry for us and you!

The rooms at this place were very spacious, bigger than a normal room. However, there were stains in the ceiling from leaks, the waffle batter in the morning was out both days we were there (Though one day it was refilled), and the coffee is too weak to be called coffee. One additional thing is we packed most of our stuff up and went down to breakfast. (9am) My son went back to grab is iPad and our room had already been turned over. We still had 2 hours before checkout. We had to find the maid who grabbed the chargers and iPad and she brought them to the front desk. Good enough to crash for the night but will try other options in the future.

Horrible beds wont ever stay at this location again. The noise from the streets was crazy loud. We checked out a day early, the staff was nice

Zero shower pressure, had to rinse with a bottle of water. Smelling bed. Got super noisy at 3:00am been going on until morning.

I had to cancel my reservation because of a family emergency the day after i made the reservation and the motel manager that i talked to called me a idiot and said to not waist his time. So, no refund and i got insulted on the phone for trying to cancel my room

Room was okay, the staff was not up to par as far as a super 8 is to be. Manager who checked me in was rude and seemed like I was more of a hassle than a guest.

the check in person was very nice and helpful. we had a car problem and he allowed us to made all the arrangements needed for our van. thank you very much.

Greeting at the front desk was uninspiring and somewhat rude. No obvious concern for guests.

I didn’t like that there was no daily house keeping such as emptying trash cans and not replacing towels. I had to dump my own trash and carry my soiled towels to the office for replacements. The man running the office said there was a sign on the counter that they don’t provide such services but the sign was not visible upon check in

I was impressed with this Super 8. I've stayed in other Super 8 in CA and other states, and the Bishop Motel is easily the nicest overall stay. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. For less $ than Motel 6 and Days Inn, the room was clean, with nice tile floors (always better than carpet). Clean bedding, bathroom, and towels. Even had microwave and refrigerator. The only thing that couldve improved was the grainy resolution of tv, but that's probably just poor connection. Breakfast was very basic, cereal, toast, yogurt, but a full spread can't be expected at budget motels. Most don't offer anything. Very convenient location with Jack in the Box next door and Family Dollar just down the street. I will definitely keep Super 8 in mind when I'm in Bishop!

I had ants in my room snd they gave me the Raid to spray it myself

Checking in was terrible. Didn't give me what I wanted plus the room had ants ants everywhere. Was there 5 days and 4 nights. Breakfast was the worst only waffles out of everything at 9 AM. Ask for more and they ignore you., The people were rude especially check in time. I have pictures but will NOT let me upload 😕 No there at checking out time.......

Check in was not good. They didn’t seem to know what was going on. I had reservations for 2 king rooms. They only had 1 and said they would have to make a new reservation for the second at the other end for 2 queens. Then got a call at 10:30 pm on my cell asking when we were going to be checking in. We checked in just after 4:00. Breakfast was not much. Shower curtain looked new until you got in and it was all moldy around the bottom. Shower was off and on warm and cool. Bed was OK. Would not stay again! The second room had little ants all over the counters and sink area.

The hotel lobby is a dirty, dusty mess. Mgr was grumpy and welcoming. Not what you would expect from a Wyndham. It was for just one night passing though Bishop but would never stay here again. We stay in Bishop at least 3-4 times a year.

I thought it was great. Good value for money, easy walk into Bishop and next door to CHP - whats not to love! Spacious room, Dish Satellite, good fridge and microwave...really nice staff and grateful for a fresh morning drip coffee at the reception...

Everything about the room shouted cheap! Loud a/c, carpet that was worn and appeared dirty and sink without a stopper/strainer. The vanity faucet was stiff difficult to operate, and the toilet continued to run because the chain was so long that it interfered with the flapper every time. I would give the "breakfast" one star because we had a bowl of raisin bran that good!

The room was decent but not in great condition. The flush mechanism on the toilet was broken and the toilet kept running. There was no stopper in the sink and the aerator was missing. The breakfast was poor and was in the office. I had to go out for breakfast to get something decent to eat. One lamp wasn’t plugged in and there were ants in the room. Housekeeping did a nice job and the room appeared clean and the bed was well made when I checked in. The refrigerator and microwave looked relatively new and were in great condition. The manager didn’t impress me. He wasn’t exactly rude when I checked in, but he could have been friendlier and more welcoming. However, he was quick about getting me checked in and efficient. I won’t stay there again unless there is no other place to stay in Bishop.

The staff and property need help. Room was not clean. Would definitely pass on staying here again. We love Bishop, but this place was gross. Breakfast was oatmeal, cereal or white toast. Manager watched while we were out of waffle batter, came over, checked it was out and went back to front desk and stared at us. Was like a zombie movie… no thank you.

It says breakfast but its boiled eggs and bread, burnt coffee... You get what you pay for really. AC needs maintenance and door doesnt seem to close all the way. Seems like it was kicked in at some time.

Quick overnight visit but pleasant with good breakfast options. Good stay, great for the price.

Nice and clean hotel with pool and hot tub. Nice breakfast with scrambled egg, waffles, good coffee etc. Nice yard with roses.

The hotel is a good value for the money we paid. One night it's almost perfect, they even have yogurt and waffles for breakfast 😋

Checking in was fast and easy. We were on the bottom floor and it sounded like someone was walking and moving around above us all night. I knew it was a continental breakfast when booking, but this was a sparce continental breakfast. Even having a few pieces of fruit would be nice.
