St James Hotel

Hotell i ”gammal engelsk stil” bra rum och hjälpsam personal. Bra läge - nära stationen.

Ignore the other reviews for this hotel, they cannot be real. The condition and cleanliness is abysmal. The whole place has a certain smell, backed up with a certain herbal smell from neighbouring guests. There are other hotels in the area at a similar cost.... stay there. I cannot express how dirty and run down this place is

Food was very good, parking was ideal. Added extra of mould in the bathroom was unfortunate!

Me and my other half were greeted with friendly staff upon our arrival, with everything explained to us. Something new was the unexpected charge for using the carpark (we hadn't experienced this on previous stays), but overall we were pleasantly happy. Our room was clean and accommodating, a fan was provided along with other essentials, and our stay was very comfortable.

The staff were kind and accommodating but the carpet in the room hadn’t been hoovered and was well in need of replacing. The handle was also coming off the door and the plug sockets were positioned so close to the table below that you couldn’t plug things in
