OYO Malden Airport Inn

I drove 500 miles and was told I could stay because of problems they had there then I had to drive another 15 miles to find another hotel to stay there wasn't no warning no call no text

Just stay somewhere else. Horrible all the way around.

Motel is under renovation. Made a reservation through Hotel.com. Confirmation said check in time was 1pm. Got to motel at 1pm. No one was in the office. Signage said to ring bell or call phone number. No one answered and mail box was full and could not leave a message. Came back at 3pm. Was told that they weren’t taking reservations because of renovations. When I showed my reservation confirmation, the man said if I could give him an hour, he would get a room ready. Because that is the only place to stay in Malden, MO, we waited for a room. I’ve stayed at this motel several times through the years. It’s nothing fancy, but has always been clean and had a good staff. Won’t ever go back to it again.

Tried to give me a room with NO LOCK and had to be let in by staff. Changed rooms after my husband said absolutely not. Hotel under remodel. 1 staff member working

I gave my feedback already on the check in portion so long story short if your just passing through and only need to catch a few hrs of shut eye that’s all one should do. From the smell, look of the property and room I’ll never stay again. I only kept my reservation because we weren’t going to be in the room a lot, basically just to sleep. All places need to have surprise check-ins by the companies that allow them to be offered on their sites for travelers. This would stop a lot of false and outdated advertisement.
