Best Western New Albany

The parking was not very good due to trucks parking across multiple lanes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room smelled dingy/moldy and if you opened the window someone was looking straight you from an apartment complex directly out the window.

The swimming pool was disgusting.

Easy exit from freeway, convenient to nearby restaurants, very nice lobby and breakfast area, very spacious room and comfortable bed, but NO hot water!!

Very clean, friendly staff. Quiet location. Pool was nice. I stay here everytime I visit this area.

It would have been a great stay if i would have had running water the first 2 days. Wednesday the water wasn't on until that night and Thursday it was off all day until like 9 p.m. i missed meetings and everything that day.

There was limited hot water for showers and there was NO PRESSURE for showers. I talked to the clerk 4 times and they said I would have to talk to hotels.com. I am very unclear on why they kept passing me to you. The breakfast had limited options and the eggs/sausage were horrible. Coffee was very very bad. I feel I over paid for this hotel.

The parking was super convenient and the lobby was clean the room was not.

Air conditioner was off when we got to our room after traveling till 2am when we got there. They held our room with no problems. We were just glad go be able to lay down. The room was still at 77 degrees when we left that morning. Went to shower and very little hot water and soap was completely out. We were so tired we didn't want to switch rooms. It was really clean abs nice staff.

This property was clearly doing some plumbing maintenance. We were without water for a period of time, the shower head and shower hose had mold growing on them.. the shower floor was cracked and there was mold around other areas of the shower.. under the bed was a bunch of trash.

Hotel staff pulled coffee creamer container from trash to serve patrons. Pubic hairs on toilet seat. Coffee maker was filthy, lined with gunk. The room smelled like wet dog.

Bathroom floors were dirty, dust an inch thick in the wardrobe, water is sink dried very slowly, and no ice vending in the floor (2). Building is out dated and breakfast was not very good.

Outside of rooms were very nice for a BW. Inside the rooms was a different story. Rooms were VERY musty and smelled of mold. Room was obviously not cleaned as there were meatballs on the floor between the beds. The sink did not drain which made it tough to get ready. Asked front desk in the AM as we were leaving for towels and for maint. to fix sink. Came back to room 12 hrs later and nothing was touched. Asked the front desk, and he said the person I asked earlier was the owner/maint guy. If he was still on site, he would send him to our room. Obviously no show. I had to get additional towels and walk around room with shoes on entire stay. All 4 of us that stayed there now have a cough from the musty mold blowing out of the AC

The headboard was filthy, bathroom ceiling was filthy, the couch was filthy, the bed skirt was filthy I won’t stay here again Friendly staff though

Bathtub didn't drain and several areas of room hadn't been cleaned.

Everywhere in the hotel was extremely clean. Staff was nice. Hotel was right by highway, so convenient for us. Beds were comfortable. A nice feature was large dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower rather than the tiny individual bottles

Do not stay here. Disgusting. Dirty wash cloth left in shower. Other towels stained. Rust around tub/shower drain. Tile floor filthy, not sure what the brown stuff was around tub/behind door. Mold and soap scum around sink drain. Pretty sure sheets were not changed from previous guest. Dirty! DIRTY! … however the young lady was super nice when we checked in.

Located right off the interstate so easy to get in and out of. Breakfast was good and the bed very comfortable and the room was very quiet.

This was an incredible property. The rooms were large, the bathroom was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Best of all, it was right off the highway and an easy drive from Ole Miss. Well, worth a half hour drive to save hundreds if not thousands versus what people paid to stay in Oxford.

The smell of their cleaning products make the closed up room smell like mildew. I have a lung problem and i was almost scared to stay this time. We were there in May for Memorial weekend and it was the same but not as strong.

Room smelled musky and Smokey upon entering. Loud bathroom vent and neighbors. You can hear EVERYTHING. Our sheets had crumbs in them when we went to bed on the first evening. Cracked tiles in foyer and elevator. Thankfully we weren’t visiting to stay in the room much. Very dated hotel.

The room was warm and very humid. The air was running but there was not a way to adjust it. There was a distinct odor of mildew. We requested to be moved to another room, but none were available. At that point, we left and decided to just drive home. We weren’t able to check out because the system was down. We were in the room about 2 hours

Overall it was ok and I would stay again. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Its close to lots of stores, restaurants and gas stations. The breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast ie eggs a meat and waffle then some cold stuff like cereal and yogurt with milk but sadly no oj. The only two issues I really had was one the TV was way too small I had to watch TV on my phone because I couldn't see the tv from the bed and really for how inexpensive they are a 75" should be standred but at least a 65" and two there is zero vending machines so you have to come down to the lobby get someone to come to the desk just to pay for a snack or drink and frankly that's very inconvenient in my opinion at least especially when your on the 3rd floor and its 3am

My check-in was fantastic. The girl at the front desk was very personable and helpful. She got me right into a room. The room was clean, but there was a smell of deodorizer, and the room felt almost "wet". I considered asking to change rooms, but assumed all of the rooms on the first floor had the same issue after seeing a dehumidifier in the lobby.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was very comfortable. One of our best stays! The staff was super check in.

The checking in was the worst experience I was discriminated by the front desk clerk guy he was acting like I couldn’t afford my deposit because I was African American and out of town and I had already prepaid my stay for two days so I felt uncomfortable and upset by so many questions about my debit card questioning if I had money on my card to put on file. He was very rude by being on the phone with another customer while trying to check me in as if I was important and I was there first and he never explained what my stay consisted of like the breakfast bar and times. The microwave in the room was broken and I reported it and requested another one and it never came so I had to wait until the next shift when there was a friendly understanding young woman named Marleen came on shift and she replaced it one the best she could find it worked but the door on it was also broken you had to rig it to close up but at least she put forward effort and I wasn’t without a microwave the rest of the stay.The rest of the staff was not friendly and didn’t speak at all and didn’t make you feel welcome.Hopefully I will never have to book this Best Western location again during my travel.

I checked in last minute and late. The room they gave me was nice but someone had been relaxing in the bed! It was unmade and the pillows stacked up as if someone was watching tv. I’m guessing an employee. They gave me another room. The host at check in was VERY nice.

Where do I begin. I am an avid REVIEWS READER! This location claimed they were "exceptional" It was late when we arrived. We grabbed some fast food before hoping to get check in/settled in. Room 1-Non working A/C and there was a pile of used towels left on the bathroom floor. (We called the front desk and were told to come get a new key for a new room) Room 2-overwhelming odor upon arrival!! There appeared to be an issue with the ceiling (unsure if there was a current leak or not) One of us sat on the bed and realized the bedding was damp to the touch!! Unreal! We went to call the front desk again only to realize this room had no phone!! Back down to the desk we all went (it was nearing midnight and we still were unable to eat) When speaking to the young lady @ the desk she apologized (again) while a gentleman in street clothes standing on our side of the counter mentioned having some recent storms and he offered a machine he could place in the room to get rid of the moisture. (We declined and asked for yet another room) Room 3-FINALLY. Ate our cold sandwiches and tried to get some rest (beds were less than comfortable unfortunately) The young lady @ the front desk was very apologetic and kind. She told us to be sure and talk to the manager before checking out in the morning bc $100+ is alot to spend and to have to endure all of THAT. We stopped by the desk @ checkout and went ahead and asked for the manager. They couldn't do anything bc we booked through Expedia. LORD.

Exceedingly comfortable for its price range, and the staff person at the front desk was welcoming and warm. The room itself had a few small touches that were appreciated — full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles; a night light in the bathroom; a decent hair dryer; a heating and air unit that didn’t turn on and shut off constantly, but ran continuously and quietly. This provided a comfy temp and white noise during sleep. The pillows were comfortable and the sheets and bedding soft. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety. My husband and I both commented on how it was the best hotel stay we’d had in quite some time at this price point.

Clean and great customer service.

This property is in bad need of renovation. The ancient stale smoke smell is still strong, as is a musty, mildewy smell. Add to the bouquet, incredibly strong Glade plug-ins that are in the rooms. These are doing nothing more than adding overpowering layers to the offensive smells. The ACs don't work. There are layers of grime and questionable substances on surfaces and in the dust ruffles. The staff was not present how check-in (we had to hunt someone down). And, while the beds are described as queen, they are barely full-sized mattresses. Unfortunately, we had the same experience twice. We had pre-reserved/prepaid for rooms to stop midway on a long drive coming and going for a week long vacation. The same experience happened both times. Best Western should not have their name on this establishment.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, and clean. Our only frustration was that the room keys had to be rekeyed 2-3 times each day (even when kept away from our phones), and the staff were very helpful, but made little to no attempt to verify identity before rekeying the cards. That said, I would definitely stay there again.

It was close to everything

Very clean, evening desk employee was nice and helpful. Nice hotel, serves continental type breakfast. This was our 2nd stay and plan to stay again when we have a meeting in Oxford, which is about 30 miles away.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were all polite and friendly. The hotel was clean and well taken care of. we recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through New Albany MS. Good location has food in walking distance and shopping close by if you forgot something.

The property was clean. Enjoyed the lack of noise from outside sources. Staff placed me away from traffic on request. Very much appreciated for peaceful night.

This property was excellent. The only thing I had an issue with was the great tasting breakfast was essentially cold. Only issue I had.

The employees were all very friendly and helpful. The room was large and had all we needed. We did end up finding a tube of some kind of thermal cream on the floor under the suitcase bench which was obviously missed by the cleaning crew. No biggie, but makes me wonder just how clean the room was then. Free breakfast was a perk but most of the food was room temperature, the juice was watered down and barely tasted like oj or apple juice, so was the coffee and the liquid coffee mate creamer which was the most disappointing part!! I need me a good coffee!!!

The person in charge of the dining area was very friendly. We were happy with the food served. My husband enjoyed the grits and biscuit and gravy.

Clean room in a good location near Oxford. Breakfast was just okay. They should include muffins.

We stayed here last minute due to a change in travel plans. We saw that it got strong reviews but I wasn’t expecting a lot - just a decent place to catch some zzzz’s. However, this was so nice for the rate we found - very clean, comfy beds and linens, well-functioning A/C. The biggest boon was that the towels were a normal size, as opposed to the tiny, slightly-larger-than-a-hand towel ones found in lots of inexpensive hotels. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety of items and a cute little employee working hard to keep things well stocked. I don’t know that we’ll be in this neck of the woods again, but if we were, we’d definitely stay here again.
