This hotel is fine, it’s comfy, has nice decor and facilities, easy to log your car for the parking. It was in a good location for us. But, the windows sounded like they were paper thin, noise pollution from outside seemed excessive, as did noise from the hallway - felt like other guests in the hall were in your room. Neither are necessarily that different from some other hotels. The reason I wouldn’t use Dakota again is the taking £50 from your account / credit card on check in, then not receiving it back for days. I know other hotels do the same but in my experience it’s a hold on the card / or £0 transaction. Not taking money off you for days in case you happen to place anything on the room during your stay, then not moving it back immediately on check out. That really messes up people’s money and budget when travelling. I’m afraid that’s something I wouldn’t put up with again so will just avoid Dakota. I don’t mind a credit hold or details on file, but don’t lift my money.

Great hotel, modern comfortable rooms. Pleasant helpful staff. Wi-Fi was appalling however during this stay. Was unable to effectively do any work as it kept dropping all the time.

Hotel was in good condition. Lack of signage saying the paying was free for guests meant I paid, and couldn’t get a refund. Bar and restaurant were closed for refurb, which with a 9pm arrival wasn’t ideal. They did message this, but I didn’t see it as I was driving. Property really good condition, excellent breakfast even if it was served in a conference room due to closed restaurants Room was really comfy, but there was a “toilet stain” on the rear of the towel on the towel rail. Luckily spares under bed in drawer. Overall ok. Not amazing but a decent nights sleep and good breakfast

Fantastic stay, check in was simple and straightforward, staff attentive and helpful and make you feel like a valued guest. Plenty of parking just remember to input your vehicle registration on the tablets at reception, will definitely stay here again.

great location for business - free carpark is a bonus. room was spacious and felt luxury. Sky TV was a great extra. I sadly did not use the gym or restaurant facilities.

Consistently good here. Shame that on a glorious summers evening they still have all the blinds down in the communal eras & the fake log fire burning. It was like a being in a dark gloomy cave when outside was bathed in sunshine. Having said that, it’s a great hotel .

Fantastic hotel but I was quite disappointed with how dirty the restaurant/bar area floor was. Small gym, if four guests turned up then it would be overcrowded

Only had three very minor issues. The door of the shower leaked a little (no big deal), room temp would only go down to 19C (a little warm for me) and you needed an actual physical debit card go check in (wouldn’t take Apple Pay), but fortunately I had one with me. Other than that everything else was excellent. Easy to get to, safe location, plenty of parking, nice big clean room, fast elevators, really good restaurant (way beyond what the standard you usually get in a hotel, and worth a visit on its own), and the staff were all lovely. The only way to exceed this would be to stay at some sort of boutique hotel. Price very reasonable here, given how good the quality is.

I’ve stayed in this hotel before and it is definitely worth it. However this time after checking in, we noticed clothes from the last guests who stayed there still in the room. That did make you think if the room was cleaned properly before check in but once we called reception they came and removed the clothes and apologised. The rest of the stay was great!

A one night stay but was really please with the hotel. Very new and spotless. Good size room, good shower room - toiletries Molton Brown. Large TV on the wall, biscuits provided with tea/coffee/chocolate facilities and free water. Couldn't ask for more.

Absolutely cannot faut anything about the hotel,house keeping are amand keep your room spotless and items topped up each day. Staff in the restaurant are lovely, attentive but not over powering. Rooms are lovely and comfortable and quiet, food in restaurant bar is nice but menu for both the bar and the restaurant is very limited for vegetarian especially if you are there for more than one night, ended up having the same meal every night i ate in but the food is good so wasnt too much of a problem.

The hotel is lovely, a modern take on traditional styling. The food was amazing and the choices good, with some interesting dishes. My room was good but what would have been even better is if the housekeeping took time to notice areas needing attention; my cups weren't clean, I had to ask for conditioner at the desk, even though my colleague had some in her room, I used the shower cap and left it on the side - it was removed during cleaning and another one not left, so I struggled to shower without getting my hair wet. It's always the little things!

when we arrived we were given a disabled room, upon being in this room we found bugs in our bed. we complained and asked for another room to which they were saying they would just deep clean our rom, although they had no cleaners in since it was 7pm so would have just been casual workers cleaning it. we said no and asked for another room to be told there was no other standard rooms but if we were happy to change room one night we could have a upgraded room for the 3 nights we were happy with this, until the staff member failed to say there would be a charge and not just a small one, she said they usual rate would be 250 but could reduce it to 150 which is rediculous. as we should not have to pay extra to not have a room with no bugs in it. upon saying we were not going to pay any extra they magically found another room the same as ours, when entering this room we noticed there was dark hairs all over the bed in this room. which is disgusting. as they should be checked thourghly by cleaners aswell as every side board as they were all dusty and must not of been cleaned for a long time. we did not once get offered any kind of compensation or apology.

Great hotel that is ideally situated just off the M8. Despite this there is no noise from the motorway. I was here for a number of nights and the only issue is had was the room was not always cleaned on my return, dirty cups and glasses were left in the room after the house keeping team had finished.

The bed was small with a duvet like mattress topper, there was a heavy duvet and the air conditioner was set at 19c. Not a great sleep

Room was lovely but bed was uncomfortable and roll together and we ended up with sore backs. We prefer a firm Mattress and this one was very soft. This is only thing that would put us off staying again because of lack of sleep. The food in restaraunt was lovely at night and breakfast was delicious.

Nice rooms and well equipped ,everything we needed for a 3 day stay.

I love the Dakota Hotel in Leeds and have stayed there on many occasions over the last year. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with our one night at Dakota Eurocentral, between Glasgow and Edinburgh on Saturday 24 May 2025. I booked a King Room, as I do at the Leeds Dakota. The room was small and very cramped. It was not the same size room or bed that I have in Leeds, I would actually say I was in a double room, rather than the King Size I had booked. There was no fridge in the room. No separate seating area for two people, just a desk and a desk chair and one comfy chair. The room overall was small and very tired. I wouldn't recommend Dakota Eurocentral to anyone, whereas I highly recommend the Leeds Dakota. Walking into the hotel in the early evening, it felt like walking into a Brothel through some horrible dark velvet curtains. Very hard to try get through with luggage and my walking stick. The lady on Reception said welcome to our Stage as if it was impressive. It's also the bar area so the lighting was dimmed too, even though it was bright sunlight outside. Not the beight and airy welcome that I want in a hotel. So many things that made this a very disappointing stay 😕 As for the Elephant 🐘 in the room, what on earth was the giant and very heavy grey cushion on the bed for? I cannot begin to explain how heavy it was when I tried to move it! I will not be staying at the Dakota Eurocentral again, despite it being close to where friends live.

One night stay. Paid extra for the “deluxe” room. Basically you get a fridge and a tenners worth of contents. No wine this time. The bed… not comfy. The mattress is too small for the bedframe. Which is a bit bizarre. You’ve got to climb out over the frame . Just feels like the standards here have slipped. Things just seem cheaper and not “deluxe” Still one of the better places to stay though.

Ultra nice brand, we loved the dark design. Breakfast was also quite cool. The location of this specific hotel is not the most interesting, as it is somewhere in the nowhere, but if you simply go there for sleeping, who cares about the location as long as it’s safe. The only joke is if you book a King Bed, you would (and should) expect something larger. It is more or less something you expect from a queen. I wonder how tiny the smaller one is.

Great choice for predictable hotel with good vibe and delicious food in restaurant. A few disappointments: our bed was only a full-size so small for 2 people; there isn’t a mini fridge in the rooms; and the room doesn’t have a water heater, just a nespresso machine that wasn’t working.

Lovely hotel. Lovely staff. It was an accessible room so was missing some things like places to put our suitcases. The room was also very cold - despite trying to use the air con to heat it up. The beds were really comfy and the linen great. I really loved my stay - despite the cold and the lack of suitcase carriers.

The room was modern and clean, the bed was really comfortable and the shower was again clean and modern. If i have a good wifi connection, bed and shower it will always be a good stay. The added bonus was having sky tv. Have stayed there a few times and will continue to do so in the future

Staff generally good but inconsistent from the waiting staff. We booked for dinner but told them running late by 10 minutes and that was ok , but when we got there they told us to go to the lounge and have a drink we went to a table but told them not wanting a drink prefer to wait for our table. When we said that then the host which saw all this said our table was ready, strange. only other gripes were service charge, for dinner which I also had wine so service charge was £4 but not one glass was poured but a service charge was applied, I got it all removed. I will determine any gratuities. Other slight poor service was at breakfast and plates loaded on our table and the host waiter the only male walked past at least 4 times not even an attempt to pick them up, also no coffee refills unless asked for. In fact from our time at breakfast Sunday he did very little, a couple of nice girls did everything while he stood at his post Overall still a great hotel and lovely staff but the service is down and inconsistent from last visit

Morgan and all the staff at the Hotel provided top class service - look forward to returning . Comfortable rooms and great food at Dinner and Breakfast

The staff without exception were excellent . They acted as if there role was to make our stay as good as it could be . This might be an obvious observation to make however it is not always the case as we all know . When next we visit our friends at the Malcolm Group we shall definitely stay here again .

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly to us during our overnight stay. The restaurant staff were also excellent & the food was great. The rooms are clean, comfortable and to a high standard. Great value for money. Will be back.

What a fantastic hotel with Top class service from the reception desk to the dining room. Highly Recommend. The staff go the extra mile and all appear to be happy working which is some achievement. Special mention to Morgan who always looks after and sad to see her leaving ( wishing her all the best in her for the future in her new role). Keep up the good work

This is a good hotel. It is remote for access to other restaurants so you have to dine at hotel ( captive audience ) . Meal at hotel bar - service was very poor . Had to get up and order a drink and then my meal . Main course was delivered an hour after ordering . Mela was good but very busy circa 7:30pm. Big group on site . 2 young waiters not attentive at all to guests . Would have probably had desert if someone came to ask or remove my plate !! Service at breakfast was top class ( 6:30am) - I beat the rush!

Great place to stay if looking for an alternative airport hitel for Edinburgh as express leaves opposite hotel twice hourly service complimented by a comfortbale friendly hotel away from airport

Transport was close by and 24/7 to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Hotel restaurant was amazing. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Facility was OK. It sits in an industrial park type of setting. It’s clean, it’s safe has good parking. It is pretty well situated in between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This is a hotel to experience from the outside to the inside. It’s extremely good. It’s free parking. The restaurant is good. Breakfast is excellent. All the staff are perfect.

Amazing quality hotel and food drinks were great but you need a 2nd mortgage to drink at bar most expensive drink out of the major hotels 2 ppl round of drinks with mixers just under £30 a time

I didn’t get the breakfast despite pre paying for it as the wait was over 30 minutes and I had to leave for an appointment so I wouldn’t have had enough time to eat! Pretty disappointing that it wasn’t a self service buffet style

Hotel and service were excellent. The breakfast was shockingly stingy. Instead of giving you the whole slice of haggis and slice of black pudding, they gave you half and stuck them together. Also just a dribble of beans. Would absolutely stay again, but not worth £19 for the breakfast

Everything excellent , however the practice of putting on a service charge every time you order a drink is really concerning They put the emphasis on you to reject the charge I know this can be difficult for some customers to do and also there is not a huge effort to pour some drinks and walk about 3 meters On a 10% charge on the value of the drink can be expensive especially when you cannot just go to the bar yourself. Paying a tip for every drink completely unacceptable What happened to just good old fashioned service Everything else was fantastic and not many hotels are better than

The hotel is good, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The down side is the very high cost of food and drinks and then a sneaky added 10% service charge at the end on the food and drinks bill.

Staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us both on arrival at the hotel and when celebrating my wife’s birthday in the restaurant. The waiting staff especially were wonderful. The room itself definitely felt premium based on the quality of furniture and fittings, though breakfast being an extra £19pp per day was a little steep. Otherwise, it the cost felt appropriate for the quality of room and food served in the restaurant. Only minor gripe is that there was no information pack or leaflet in the room with things like a room service menu or how to use the air on and Sky Pin. Might just have been unlucky that they had ran out when prepping the room.
