Hotel Daniel

Very nice but bare bones hotel. Clean but they don't turn on a/c until a certain time of year. We were there in late April and it was warm fir Europe. So we had to sleep with windows wide open which meant bugs abd pollen. No amenities but very reasonably priced

The room that we booked through Hotels.com was described with AC, however the room given to us did not have one. They were not able to accommodate request as they had a large group that day. Why did you reserve ahead of time? then the floor had a strong sewer smell.

Hotel Daniel was very nice and walkable to many things in downtown Munich. However, we paid extra for a room with air conditioning and the air conditioner was broken. The evening receptionist was very kind to bring us a fan and made an effort to get the air fixed but it never was despite our efforts. We also found the daytime receptionist to be grouchy.

I like that the property is downtown, lots of options for food, transportation, easily walkable. It is also very clean, and awsome staff. The negative points are: My room was in front of elevator, so a lot of noise early morning and late night (1-2am). No windows at my room (except for a small window to the hallway (more noise). Also, they don't have a iron board for each room, and I couldn't get one during my stay. Breakfast is pretty decent for a continental. They advetise having a fitness center, but you will need to use a fitness center arond the corner that does not have any contract with the hotel (you would need to pay).

Fab location, close to public transport links. Hotel is clean, large room with decent shower, AC, hairdryer, TV, safe. If arriving after 11pm there is no one on the desk and the doors will be locked so make prior arrangements to access hotel and room.

Clean hotel, and the staff was gracious and quite helpful. The single bed was comfortable but I never did figure out the duvet. Doesn't seem to work as intended, but it was warm and comfortable. No AC in the room, which shouldn't have mattered in late September, but it was warm in the city for the first 2 days I was there. It cooled at night and I opened the window and that was fine. Had it been full Summer though, I think I wouldn't stay here. Location is excellent. 20 minute leisurely walk to the Hofbrauhaus, passing by the Munich Cathedral and the Glockenspiel. Throngs of people - a very busy pedestrian city. Respect the bike lanes if you don't want to get run over! 20 minute walk (15 minutes if you keep a good pace) the other way to the Oktoberfest fair grounds. It was totally mobbed on Sunday, the first full day of the event. An excellent parade went by directly in front of the hotel that morning and it was great, but quite a long procession and I was prevented from crossing the street for almost an hour - finally walked a few blocks south and realized I could get around the roadblocks. I didn't drive so I know nothing about the parking. There are endless shops, most are quite fru-fru. More for looking than buying I suppose, but attractive and eye-catching. Elevator had a few issues - worked most of time, but sometimes seemed to be off having a rest. We let the front desk know and they ordered an engineer in and it was working for the duration (4 nights)

ホテルを出たところに地下鉄カールスプラッツ駅の入り口があり、マリエン広場にも歩いて10分以内なのでとても便利です。 フロントの担当者も数人いましたが皆とても親切でした。 ただミニバー・電気ポット・冷蔵庫が無い部屋でした。 （冷蔵庫はある部屋もあったかもしれません）バスタブは事前に希望したので部屋にありましたが、無い部屋もあるので、バスタブ有りの部屋がいい方は事前に確認した方がいいと思います。またアメニティは石鹸とシャンプー兼ボディソープのみです。 朝食はほとんど毎日同じメニューですが、ハム・チーズが数種類、生野菜、グリルした野菜、ゆで卵、パン、コーンフレーク、ヨーグルト、フルーツなどがありました。

The hotel is on the train station which give is best location when coming by train. While parking at the train station's parking lot can be expensive, guests can save money by using the Pcard app. The hotel is small and cozy the team is friendly but the facilities are old meaning spring mattresses that you can hear the spring crack at each movement, and bathroom the same quite overused. Clean but in horrible condition.

Everything about this hotel is convenient! Do ask for a room at the back of the hotel to get away from the noise of the nightclub There is no Aircon but we managed to survive on days it was 30c bring handheld fans. So many places to eat right at your doorstep aswell as being central to all stations. Unfussy rooms, has all the basics bring your own hairdryer. No fridge but a free safe. Would recommend if on a budget and just needing somewhere to rest your head at night.

A lovely hotel. Great sized room, very clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was close to the underground and to the Christmas Market and the Glockenspiel. It was easy to get around the city with public transportation. We were walking distance to the train station. The hotel left something to be desired. The shower has mildew, the lift went out the first night and we were on the 5th floor, the staff didn’t offer any compensation, the toilet wouldn’t flush anything more than liquids and toilet paper. The bed was uncomfortable and the entire motel smelled of sewer gas.

This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel Daniel this year. The staff are always very helpful and cheerful. The rooms have always been spotless and quiet. We always opt to have breakfast, which is a buffet-style affair with a good selection. The location is well placed for tourism and for tram connections. We expect to visit again at least once next year.

Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen und auch sehr sauber. Wir kommen sehr gerne in das Hotel Daniel. Parkhaus in der Nähe und freundliches Personal.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, pero es una propiedad muy vieja. Las alfombras no se veían demasiado limpias y la habitación tenía un olor terrible. Sólo la necesitaba para dormir unas horas, así que no fue tan mal, pero no podría haberme quedado más de una noche con aquel olor.

Clean, great location. But noisey at night, air condition doesn’t work very well and awful smell in the bathroom.

Top Lage, sauber, praktisch und eine Empfehlung!

Hotel Daniel is excellently situated by the main Christmas Market street and walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants and cafes. Hotel room and corridors were clean. The bathroom was a little small but adequate for us. The dining room was clean and pleasantly decorated and the service was excellent and friendly. We enjoyed our three day trip.

Es waren Spritzer (hätte Blut sein können) an der Wand sowie lange Haare auf dem Teppich und im Waschbecken.

The room we were given didn't have windows. A few days the elevator wasn't functioning.

Location was excellent, walkable to famous attractions, near the subway stations, lots of restaurants around it. Our room is spacious but no window. Overall, a pleasant stay.

The room is large with great amenities for the price I paid. Highly recommend. Rooms facing the front can be quite noisy since there is a bar next door with tables out on the sidewalk.

The staff was amazing and accommodating. She even moved us to another room when our first room was very loud. Unfortunately, even with an inner courtyard room, we heard the music from the club next door until 4:30 in the morning! The first night, we had a street view and heard loud people in front of the club most of the night. This hotel is in a great location, right in front of a U/S station and near shopping - we were there on a weekend, so the club next door was going until all hours of the morning, and definitely caused noise issues for us.

My room’s windows open to the the hallway, I can’t keep the curtain open nor I can open them

I was put into a room facing a busy street, so it was loud. I asked to change to a back room, which the staff did for me, though the hotel was very full. I was very grateful for that. Excellent customer service. Also an excellent location in the middle of town with lots of shopping and dining options.

The only good thing going for this hotel is that it’s very walkable due to its central location. There was no air conditioning in the room, it was really noisy due to open windows and street noise. But the worst thing was the lack of a proper shower. There is a bathtub with a handheld shower, but you can’t take a normal shower where you stand under it. I would not book this hotel again. Luckily I only stayed there for one night.

The location is great- just off the train and around the corner from the ice rink/ start of the markets. Room was average at best- cleaned but in need of update- stained carpet, outdated decor, old hair dryer that barely worked, etc. Breakfast was the bare minimum- for $15 you can get much better coffee/ options nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. nearby. The ok-but ito work and it only runs on low- anyo

Decent hotel in a convenient neighborhood to Old Town tourist destinations. But be warned if you have a street facing room there is a lot of traffic and pedestrian noise

A lovely hotel. Great sized room, very clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful.

The front desk person at check in was incredibly nice and helpful!!! She gave all the local insiders tips for Oktoberfest too!!!

Our room was super spacious and comfortable and being in the back of the building was quiet. The staff were amazing from helping with late check in, lifting bags and providing helpful advice and organising a taxi. We were there during the Munich snow storm and the staff went out if tgeyrvway to help us. Thank you.

They let me book the hotel after 11pm and when I got there the main gate was locked and no one answered the door . We had no access to the room . The worst experience ever .

Highly recommend, easy access to train station. Very walkable to many tourist attractions. Early check-in was not possible but there is an area for luggage storage (no locked door/room). Would definitely stay here again for convenience.

I was very satisfied with the Hotel Daniel for the six days I stayed there. It had a great location 100 feet from the escalator down into the Stachus (Karlsplatz) where one can catch a tram or subway anywhere in the city. (It is huge and thus confusing, so you have to pay close attention to the exit you want. For this hotel you want exit D. It is next to Dunkin’ Donut and across from Mr Box Tea.) The only drawbacks: the shower allowed water to flood the bathroom (but it was otherwise a great shower—good water pressure and plenty of hot water) and breakfast was below average compared similar 3* restaurants across Europe. For example, scrambled eggs cost an extra 4 euros. But that would not stop me from staying there again. (My only bad experience: l left my key in my room one day but I didn‘t realize I had not pocketed the key until I arrived at back at the hotel at 11:30pm). But the front desk had closed at 11pm (as I knew it would). Another guest let me into the building but I could not get into my room. As the desk clerk told me the next day, I could and should have called the “Emergency” number but I didn’t think I was an “emergency” so I spent several hours in the Burger King across the street until it closed at 5am, and then I rode the subway until the desk clerk called me at 6:45am. But that was all my fault, and I should have called the “Emergency” number at 11:30.

Upon my arrival, there was a nice Staff who already gave me the fill out form. I was impressed her friendliness and helpful. She had made my day.

The hotel is close to Karlsplatz and Marienplatz and the Rathaus. However, i had an issue with my keycard during my stay and there is no night reception so i was locked out of the hotel. I was forced to get another hotel for the night which was very disappointing. Also the hotel is above a club so on Saturday nights your room will smell of cigarettes from the club goers. Also the hotel seems dated and smells like an nursing home and the bathroom fixtures were falling apart. Overall the experience was pretty bad. I would not recommend staying here again.

La habitación está mucho mejor de lo que se ven en las fotos. La ubicación está en el centro de toda “la jugada” a pocos pasos del metro.

Super beliggenhet, alt av butikker i nærheten, metroinngang rett utenfor, direkte S8 til flyplassen. WiFi fungerte utmerket.

Exactly what I wanted, 1m from the Metro, day trip coaches, start of old town. Pizza place outside. Very quiet.

Comfortable beds. Walkable from the Hauptbahnhof. Very central. Excellent location for Marienplatz, shopping, the Christmas markets and trams. Very acceptable Italian Restaurant next door.

Superb location and Accessible to public transport.

Ideal location, very well connected with U bahn and S bahn with a easy walkable distance, close to old town attractions, even if you are attending exibition or connecting airport, you are just a metro away, major shopping places nearby, reception is very welcoming, helpful, rooms are clean, for solo travelers it's small but well managed.

Tolle Lage. Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Zum Frühstück müssen Eierspeisen separat gezahlt werden.

Hotellet ligger granne med en nattklubb, dunkandet från musiken hördes en bit in på natten. På morgonen hördes köksslammer, visade sig att rummet låg granne med köket. Frukost ingick inte, disträ och ointresserad personal när jag skulle fråga. I receptionen satt en lika ointresserad man. Jag åt på ett kafé intill, bra och stor frukost.

During UCL final 25 this place served it´s purpose perfectly for me and my son. Clean, quiet and in the middle of the city. Train from airport brings you almost directly to the hotel (Karlsplatz) and costs around 12€. Our room was quite lately been renovated and was clean as well as the bathroom. There is no extra services available at the hotel, but the first restaurant is located 10 meters from the entrance and everything else is very close also so it doesn´t matter. Breakfast was good but not special. Personnel was friendly and helpful If moderate price, cleans sheets and safe place to sleep is your priority, this is a good choice.

Das Hotel ist ok, der Empfang sehr freundlich wie insgesamt das Personal. Lage sehr gut direkt am Stachus. Mein Zimmer war zum Hinterhof und sehr ruhig, andere Gästen bemerkten Wummern aus benachbarter Disco. Bescheiden ist das Frühstücksbuffet, es fehlt frisches Gemüse (Tomaten, Gurke usw), dafür wird das Rührei direkt zubereitet wnigstens mit etwas Tomate u. Gurke. Ich würde das Hotel aber wieder buchen.
