Clean and just down street from many shopping and dine in restaurants. Parking lot is a little sketchy but hotel itself is clean and staff is nice

Loved the parking below the rooms, in shade. Room had reading lamps on either side of the bed, but no place to plug them in within reach of the cord. Peculiar.

Easy underground parking. Parking felt safe and secure. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

It was a nice stay. Would have been better if there was at least a vending machine available to get water.

I like the proximity to the major freeway interchange of 680 and 17, be able to walk to Valley Fair Mall/Santana Row if I chose to (and I did), and being across the street from Falafel’s Drive-in (had gone there for years when in college, decades before it was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!) The place is clean and modern and fancy. What I didn’t like was that someone took the valet cart and I had to make multiple trips to/from my car on the bottom floor while my room was on the 2nd floor. There is a virtual front desk clerk, someone who is a real person but who is on camera to help check you in. This is the trend and while it was fine overall, I know that it may pose a challenge for those who want the personal touch of interacting with someone on site. There is nothing to look at but a neighbor’s junky yard if you have the rooms facing the rear; the rooms facing the front get street traffic noise, so seeing someone’s yard is best.

We had a very fun stay in the area besides the hotel. It was nice as a point of access to all of the places we wanted to go, but the hotel was grungy and the rooms seemed to be in a state of disrepair, besides the lobby and public areas. The lack of on-site staff (besides cleaners) did not give us much faith that anybody checks the rooms regularly to oversee the guest experience. Mysterious substances on the walls of the bathroom seemed to confirm our fears that the rooms are given no more than a surface cleaning and a change of sheets before it's on to the next.

Overall the hotel is nice. The towels and the room can benefit from better cleaning, however. Under the beds were very dusty with items from the previous guests! Some towels had spots and stains on them. The breakfast area is nice. Staff are helpful.

This is a standard three star hotel and they don't do room cleaning until you check out. During my stay for the 4 days, only one time they cleaned the room because the first day I checked in, the next morning I checked out and extended my stay for the rest 3days. I booked only one night for the first day. So when by the time I extended my stay, they cleaned it. Even after the second day I stayed there and asked for room service, they didn't do it. Please bear in mind that you really need to bear a used room for the rest days of time staying.

Look, the property is in a prime location but the cleanliness was not it. Check-in was great & easy as the person was remote. Same for check-out. When I arrived to the room instantly noticed the dirty carpet, outdated appliances, DIRTY restroom. I was very skeptical about even using their sheets & towels. Unfortunately I arrived late, around 9:30pm & I had no energy to complain as I had to be up early the next day. The complementary breakfast was ok though. I wouldn’t stay here again but I hope this helps!

The hotel is clean and so is our room. The staff that was working that morning was friendly and accommodating.

Pee stain in the middle of the room and a bit of a musty smell . Overall decent but expected a bit more . Friendly staff , good free breakfast

The tub is dirty, the shower is hard to control the temp. Over all the room and facility are tidy.

It was very weird that they had a virtual front desk and no actual person to check me in. Hotel is a bit outdated, strong perfumed smell throughout the halls. Jetted tub was older and kinda dingy, but a very large tub biggest I’ve seen. Rooms are not sound proof you can hear outside the door and I could hear someone’s shower as I walked the hallway. With a little more TLC this place could be a bit better.

The service, location, and overall appeal of the hotel was great. The only downsides were: 1. The bed was like sleeping on a box spring 2. Our room connected to the breakfast area so we could hear everyone. Including the staff restocking with heels on. 3. When people were in the hallway we felt like they were in our room talking. Luckily it didn’t happen too often. 4. We were hearing load thumps that would rattle the room.

Room was clean and had a boutique like feel. Staff was friendly, everything was digital, no room keys, etc. just a code. I enjoyed it. Check in was easy and quick. The room was nice, but the bed took up most of the actual room - the bathroom was mostly empty space - oversized with just a shower and toilet with sink outside bathroom placed in-between the entryway and the bed area of the room… May have been a converted ADA bathroom. Other than that, it was a nice hotel with very, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had a great experience and great day! Definitely recommend if you’re going to the mall nearby or the Winchester mystery house!

It’s too noisy.

Unique reception desk setup with the kiosk and virtual assistant. Property is well kept, room was clean. Rooms on San Carlos Street are subject to some traffic noise.

The room was noisy with constant traffic noise until late at night. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was sparely furnished.

Bathroom is oddly large making room on small size. exhaust fan did not work in bathroom. Our room was on street side and could hear noise all night. My vision is limited so key code access to hotel and room was very inconvenient and difficult to manage.

Centrally located; easy accessibility to freeways, etc. However, there is a lot of street/traffic noise. If I do stay there again, I prefer NOT to have an ADA room.

check in and check out was a breeze. Breakfast was good. The only thing that I found bizarre was the sink is outside of the bathroom, all other aspect of the hotel is good.

It was very unsafe and scary to not have a front desk attendant available for check in. We had to wait a long time in an unsafe part of town at night.

I requested a late check out via the text messaging service that they had and didn’t get a response. There was no one to ask at the front desk for it.

Check in is an incredibly strange experience. Most of the time nobody is at the front desk and there is this kiosk with a remote person from a different country on there. It was so creepy to enter an empty lobby and then to hear a disembodied voice say “m’am, hello”. I felt like I was in the movie set of a fake hotel and was spooked out. Then the bathroom had a broken fan that sounded like a construction working drilling with a sledge hammer if you ever wanted to turn the bathroom light on and the thermostat on the wall didn’t connect to the AC so you had to go to the wall unit to turn it on. The room was crazy musty going in because the AC had been off. I switched rooms and it got MUCH better thankfully.

Friendly service, quick response, auto check in and inquiries. No extra early check in fee ( not sure but mine has waved). Close to the biggest mall in Bay Area, walkable distance. Good breakfast options, will come back again if I have any plans in San Jose. Thank you.

The stay in the hotel was great but again I had issues with Hotels.com as they canceled my reservation because I arrived late. Luckily, the front desk was able to resolve.

We arrived after a 2 hour drive around 7. Both my kids were in need to go to the bathroom and they have a kiosks to check in. It would not connect us to anyone for 20 minutes and there was nobody on site to assist. My kids were trying to hold it as much as they could. Finally someone appeared and helped, but definitely not the best first impression

Staff was very friendly and the room was clean, modern, spacious and quiet. They even accommodated a late check out. Will stay here again next time I’m in Santa Clara

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent stay at The Row Hotel, BW Signature Collection. My experience was so disappointing that I feel compelled to bring it to your attention in hopes of improving future guest experiences. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was shocked to find that there was no staff present. Not only was there a lack of staff, but the security of the hotel was severely compromised. Multiple DoorDash employees were freely wandering around the premises, indicating a serious breach in security. It was concerning to witness anyone being able to access the hotel without proper authorization or verification. Moreover, the virtual check-in kiosk, which appeared to be the only means of checking in, was not functioning properly. I was not provided with a code or any instructions on how to proceed with the check-in process. When I attempted to seek assistance from other guests, I discovered that they had managed to enter the hotel using the kiosk before it became inoperable. The lack of responsiveness and accountability from the hotel management further exacerbated the situation. Despite multiple attempts to contact the hotel for assistance, I was met with utter disregard and indifference. The owner’s dishonesty in claiming that I had left the premises, coupled with his refusal to provide a refund, only added to my frustration and dissatisfaction. Fortunately, after escalating the issue with Expedia, I was able to secure a refund.

Great location by Santana Row

Good location but a long walk from the row, good looking modern rooms and common space but the amenities are old (ac, fixtures)

Rooms were clean and reasonably priced. Located near freeway and Santana Row shopping. Heavy street traffic made walking unpleasant.

It was a great experience staying in this hotel. Location is very accessible to everything.

Loved staying at this hotel while attending a concert at SAP Center. Great location, right off the freeway, staff was amazing and easy access for Uber pickup.

Virtual check in, 10 min walk to Westfields Mall, small but clean hotel near San Jose airport.

We stayed at this hotel to be close to our morning destination. I found the hotel to be quite nice for the price. The hotel is not in an exciting area of San Jose unless you wish to be close to the mall, but the hotel itself is very nice. The check-in was fantastic. I called ahead to make a change to my check-in and the gentleman who assisted me was exceptionally nice and accomodating. Upon arrival, the hotel was modernized with keyless room entry, I received my code ahead of time for check-in which made it very easy after a long day. The room is simple but had nice gems of courtesy throughout including water bottles, a coffee selection, and even little Biscoff cookie packs. The sink area had a Qtip pack and nail file kit in addition to the other standard room amenities at other chain hotels. The bed was just okay, but the bedding was nice and the pillows were nice. Even though the hotel is close to the freeway and on a fairly busy street, I was not disturbed by any street noise through the night. Breakfast was simple but had many nice grab-and-go items like yogurt and muffins. There were two hot items, an egg omelet and a sausage patty. The area was clean, organized, and well-stocked. Staff were courteous and kind. I would stay here again and if I was traveling I would stay here to be near the airport without having to hear the planes. I almost forgot- there's a smart TV to sign into your streaming apps or just watch TV which is what we did- there were a ton of channels!

Worried about my car all night - very sketchy person rode by on a bike and stopped as I was unpacking my car - which had alot of things in it. Virtual checkin was hard and unpleasant. Very cold noisy floor. Noise road outside. Very poor breakfast. Ran out of food. Water emprt. Hard to understand how can be rated so high and cost so much for such low quality.
