Very friendly staff, good amenities, the free breakfast included hot eggs. Nice lobby area. No elevator, so you do have to lift your luggage up two short flights of stairs. Our bathroom was a bit tired, but everything worked.

The people were wonderful! Treated me extremely well. The room was large, clean and well maintained, BUT lacked functionality. Not enough electrical outlets in appropriate places. The tv only had access to those who with Netflix/Prime accounts. There is no wi fi service available. The rooms are all on the 2nd floor with only stair access so not disabled friendly. The hotel has potential but those issues need addressing.

Good instructions on gaining access…but very impersonal. No ice machine. Slight Noise from next rooms tv. My tv didn’t work (not an issue as had I-pad). Didn’t see another human being…expect that if arriving after 8.00pm , but I arrived 5.30pm. But room clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.

The staff were very friendly. The room overall was ok but the bed was uncomfortable. It was disappointing that we were not able to dine at the restaurant as it was closed the day we were there. Overall though it was a nice place to stay. I do have to say I was disappointed in the info centre who told us the locals have mixed reviews on the restaurant and wouldnt cross the line to even have a drink there. It is not good for business when the place tourists go for suggestions tell you to stay away from the place you booked.

Perfect little layover - the onsite restaurant is fantastic. The rooms are definitely just a freshen up of whatever previous motel was there but they are clean and comfortable, no frills. Hot breakfast in the morning was a pleasant surprise

Clean. They have their continental breakfast open later then most hotels which is awesome! Awesome restaurant connected. Easy parking. Good A/C in the room for those hot days.

Stayed here for a Family Day long weekend ski trip. First time. Enjoyed our stay! Breakfast was delicious and big! Building is older but renovated so has a rustic charm, some minor wear and tear. Room was clean and warm. Bed was firm and comfy. Bathroom had some wear and tear but spacious and clean. Room had a fridge and coffeemaker which we used, as well as a microwave that we didn't use. TV was "roku" which was new to me, couldn't figure out how to get live sports but I didn't care because we went out to a pub anyway - didn't come here to watch TV. The only downside to our stay was "the Porch" restaurant downstairs was closed due to a family issue which was understandable. No worries because we went out to town to eat anyway. Thanks for a great stay. Yes I would stay here again!

Breakfast was good, there was nobody ever at front counter. Our bathroom sink was cracked plastic and so disgusting. Shower controlles had a mind of their own. Under beds were not vacuumed in a long time. Or AC unit was filthy. Seems that this hotel is under renovation. Front entrance is all new. Seems that some rooms have been renovated but we got stuck in an old room.

We made the best of it, but there were a few problems with the room. First, the bed was a double and not a queen as specified. Second, we were very lucky that it wasn’t a particularly hot night as the air conditioner was EXTREMELY noisy but we were able to turn it off and open the window and not be too uncomfortable. Third, the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke. I assume there have been smokers using the bathroom exhaust fan to suck up their cigarette smoke in the non-smoking room.

It was very hot 33 no air conditioner In main areas. Air conditioner in room didn’t work at all. Left it on and fan running went out to dinner came back 2 hours later still not working. Room refunded and cut our vacation short. Drove home 4 hour drive. Wouldn’t recommend staying here until Reno’s are done to the hotel.

Slightly dated rooms with a few cosmetic/practical issues like a leaky faucet and dated bathroom. The plusses are a fantastic breakfast, great staff, a roku in the room, super cute lobby and decor, modern door code entry and super clean! There is no elevator which might be a negative to some. Would stay again.

I didn’t like that there was almost never anyone available at the counter. I didn’t like calling for a room spruce up on two consecutive days and the room was never freshened up once. I didn’t like running out of toilet paper and an extra roll was not provided. I did like the Breakfast, those two ladies do a five star job of that.

No one on site at any point … serious security concerns. Young man out front who had paid for his room but couldn’t get in or reach anyone by the hotel contact number. We couldn’t get the tv to work called the hotel contact number - never received a response. Hotel entrance, lobby and hallways were nicely upgraded, however no money spent on the room. The continental breakfast was poor … black bananas and awful looking muffins. Overall a very poor experience. We won’t be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Approx a 5 min drive from the ski hill. Although a little dated, everything was clean. Staff were very friendly, and everything was very well organized for our stay, despite our late arrival. Breakfast was plentiful also.

Quiet & clean location to stay when passing through. Continential breakfast was awesome (pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast, cereal, fruit, coffee and juice) and saved us from having to get food on the road. Overall a good value.

Very friendly staff, good amenities, the free breakfast included hot eggs. Nice lobby area. No elevator, so you do have to lift your luggage up two short flights of stairs. Our bathroom was a bit tired, but everything worked.

Quiet & clean location to stay when passing through. Continential breakfast was awesome (pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast, cereal, fruit, coffee and juice) and saved us from having to get food on the road. Overall a good value.

We stayed at this place because they had breakfast included. When we checked in the man said it was from 7-10. We waited until 8:30 for the breakfast room to open but no one ever showed up.

Stayed here for a Family Day long weekend ski trip. First time. Enjoyed our stay! Breakfast was delicious and big! Building is older but renovated so has a rustic charm, some minor wear and tear. Room was clean and warm. Bed was firm and comfy. Bathroom had some wear and tear but spacious and clean. Room had a fridge and coffeemaker which we used, as well as a microwave that we didn't use. TV was "roku" which was new to me, couldn't figure out how to get live sports but I didn't care because we went out to a pub anyway - didn't come here to watch TV. The only downside to our stay was "the Porch" restaurant downstairs was closed due to a family issue which was understandable. No worries because we went out to town to eat anyway. Thanks for a great stay. Yes I would stay here again!

The staff were very friendly. The room overall was ok but the bed was uncomfortable. It was disappointing that we were not able to dine at the restaurant as it was closed the day we were there. Overall though it was a nice place to stay. I do have to say I was disappointed in the info centre who told us the locals have mixed reviews on the restaurant and wouldnt cross the line to even have a drink there. It is not good for business when the place tourists go for suggestions tell you to stay away from the place you booked.

Arrived early. Not staff to check in. Call number went to voicemail. Ended up waiting for an hour to check in. Friendly lady. Restaurant was closed. Bathtub filled up during my shower. Old old rooms. I was on a road trip and need a place to stay for one night. I guess it served it's purpose. Breakfast was at 8. And very minimal. Not very convenient. But at the end of the day I slept well.

Breakfast sausages were boiled and grey. No bacon. Scrambled eggs were ok...potatoes needed a bit more par boil before frying. Choice of brown or white bread only. No fresh fruit or baked goods. Service person couldnt answer questions and responded with "I just work here" multiple times. No autonomy to change policy to keep customer happy. Mattresses were old and had stains. After house cleaning went through room, dirty coffee mugs were left. Bad training of staff...bad cooking all comes down to poor management. Booked for 2 nights left after one.

Our family stayed this past weekend at the Western Lodge. I have to say, we do not normally stay in Motels but I have to commend Donna and the team at Western Lodge. They have do a lot to make an older building more modern. The decor when you arrive is lovely. The breakfast room is large and spacious, linens and towels are new and fresh. The beds were firm but soft and we didn't have those giants pillows that make it so hard to sleep at night. Donna was the real star of the lodge. She will go out of her way to make you feel at home. How many places have you stayed where you actually know the name of your receptionist. She is kind hearted, tended to my quereies and gave us the best possible service. Thank you, Donna!

Loved the modern touches and obvious attention to detail. Room was bright, warm and beds were comfortable. Exactly as expected. The resteraunt downstairs was perfect...food, drinks, pool table, darts. All around great stay!

Reception went well, but our room did not get cleaned even though we were out at 8:30 am and not back until 4:00. We had the sign on the door requesting the room to be made up. The toilet runs on, and the bathroom ceiling fan needs to be cleaned.
