Absolutely terrible. We booked this after seeing a high rating on Expedia. I travel a lot, and the previous two nights while traveling had lodging in a similar price range that were both very good. This one, however, was awful all the way around. The staff was unfriendly and demanded a $20 cash deposit upon check in, and then were conveniently away from the desk at check out, and had been for quite some time judging from the number of key cards that had been left, so basically a scam. The room was absolutely filthy. The only reason we stayed was because our arrival was very late and we were collapsing from exhaustion. Dust and dirt on the ac, floors were dirty. Killed 2 bugs in the room. Outlets that didn't work. The only positives were that the AC worked very well and there was good parking. I do not recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting family in Boerne since the San Antonio hotels were cheaper. We arrived around 2 AM and checked in with no issues. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was simple — granola bars, prepackaged muffins and danishes, plus coffee and juice — just as other reviews mentioned. The lot shares a fence with a Wendy’s whose lobby stayed closed, so if you’re an early riser looking for a heartier breakfast, you’ll need to use their drive-thru. I called the front desk to decline housekeeping since we’d be out for a few hours, but no one answered. We were a bit concerned about leaving our belongings, but housekeeping simply refreshed our towels and everything was left exactly as we’d left it. The only downside was some street noise from cars racing on Saturday night. The pool looked clean, though we didn’t get to use it. It’s open 10AM-10PM. Overall, it was a clean, quiet stay with a simple breakfast and good value for the price. Just note — the large lit-up sign doesn’t say “Blue Way Inn”; only the smaller black block letters do, so it may have been recently renamed or purchased. Just be weary we almost missed the entrance.

The staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean and beds comfy. Continental breakfast could use less sugar options and more fruit, but was fine for me. This is a no frills place but does have a pool and I will certainly stay again should the need arise.

I stayed in a non-smoking room with a King size bed. The room had a microwave and a mini fridge which is a big plus. The room was very clean. The lighting in the room is very good. Not dim or dark like some cheap motels can be. The motel pool looks nice and inviting. I didn't get a chance to swim during my stay though. The motel property is well lit at night, making it feel safe. It was also very quiet and peaceful. There is a gas station within walking distance and a Wendy's next door. There is a little Mexican food truck across the street. A city bus stop located nearby which is useful for getting to/from downtown San Antonio. There is also a McDonald's further down the street. I still managed to walk there without any issues. I would stay here again.

Pros: super comfortable bed. Cons: outdated, weird smell lobby, roaches in the bedroom. No one in the front desk to checkout.

I didn’t like the property because the room had a strange smell to it, the cable or tv wasn’t working correctly and the bathroom door wouldn’t close. The worst part about it was that when my wife and I were sleeping and I had woke up to a cockroach crawling on me.

The hotel is not named this, it’s named something else. The room itself was 85° inside. The floor was dirty. There was blood on the ceiling splattered. There was urine splashes on the bathroom door. The TV was in a blocked off space with horrible sound.

To our pleasant surprise, the hotel was in a great condition and the rooms were nice and clean!

The appearance of the decorations was very nice. The property itself looked good until you saw renters blocking stairwells and leaving food on the stairwell. The owners were extremely nosy and went out of their way to watch me but not the renters who was trashing the property. My cousin was supposed to pickup my dogs and put them in her yard but she didn’t show up. So the property owner decided to approach me without introducing himself first. He just started drilling me asking questions at 4 or 5 in the morning. My experience was very uncomfortable and the restroom was dirty with hair and dirt buildup around the counter so I can imagine how dirty the floor was. He changed reduced the $20 pet fee to $15 because the room was dirty but that wasn’t a good compensation for how dirty the room was. Breakfast only had breakfast bars and cookies and crackers and prepackaged snacks-No hot food.

Basic. Good for the purpose of just spending the night. Premises need renovation. Clean enough. Air conditioning not working properly. Room was not cleaned and bed was not made during my 3 night stay, they just changed the towels. Breakfast consists in coffee, apple juice, granola bars, cookies and sweet bread,

I will start with the positive... the room was reasonably priced the suite appeared to have been recently updated, and the bed was comfortable. Given that I was traveling with dogs it limited my available options so I initially was thinking this was a bonus. However, despite the bed comfort and value I can't reasonably recommend this hotel to anyone but the most deperate traveller. Now for the drawbacks... the area is industrial and both the noise from the street and the other hotel patrons made for many disturbance during the night. The included breakfast... this consisted of a few different packages of cookies and granola bars, not even cereal or bread... the juice dispenser had orange and apple juice the Orange juice was NOT orange rather a brownish color. This feeds into the low score for staff... though my interaction was limited there was a lot of finger ppinting back at "The Owner". For cleanliness... i was to be in a non-smoking room that smelled of smoke, just not tobacco smoke, and had what appeared to be cigarette butns on the bed spread. The shower head could use a dip in some demineralizer and the rest of the bath needed some work on mildew.

Property was clean rooms are small no breakfast

Other than the remote for the TV didn't work, everything else was great. We didn't mind the remote because it was for one night and wasn't there mostly. Staff was friendly. Comfortable bed with fluffy pillows. AC blew ice cold the way I like .

The electrical plugs did not work. And room service would come knocking way too early and open the door.

The manager was awesome. My tire was flat and noticed it and instantly helped me out. The room was clean and it was quiet.

I’m not usually one to leave a negative review but I would have appreciated this information, so I’ll share it for others. I arrived in the AM, well before check in because I had an early flight. I just wanted to drop my bag off so I could go eat something and explore until it was check in time. They let me know that they don’t do that. I’ve never stayed any place that doesn’t let you drop your bag off. Luckily, there was a room available for me to check in early but of course this was at an extra cost. As a solo female traveler, the area didn’t feel safe for me to wander around alone. But, it was a close enough ride to downtown. The real issue for me was that there were roaches in my room. I understand they’re common in Texas but at the very least I expect there to be traps set up for them.

Employees at the front desk were fast and very nice as well as the breakfast was good in the morning.

Good stay for the price. Let my dog stay, so that was great! Room was ok but overcrowded with furniture. AC was great. $20 deposit at check in being CASH only is odd but they have an ATM in the lobby so they conveniently collect fees so that may explain that a bit. Breakfast was a hit with my kids because was junk food and weak coffee. Overall, it's an affordable place to sleep when spending your day at area attractions.

I’m not recommending this property for anyone Very filthy and stuff is very ignorant they open my room to get in at 9:30 am because he thought I’m out , I yelled at him when I’m taking a shower I said I’m still here. Very unprofessional and room smells terrible

Place was very good. In the middle of an industrial area, but you can tell the owner really tries to keep the place up. 5 minutes away from AT&T Centre. Owner always met me in the morning with a smile and asked how my stay was going. Rooms were a little small but still very nice and clean. Bathroom was also clean. Nice stay for a great price.

This place is good for bare minimum stays. decent room and bed, no real compalints about the room. the area is a little shady, with limited eating options and almost nothing to do in the immediate vicinity, but the staff was very friendly, so overall not a bad place to stay.

Surrounding area is sketchy

Sketchy looking area, but motel was well lit at night and pleasantly quiet. Friendly staff also made my stay more welcome.

Stay was good, just needed a decent room to stay for the night and it filled the roll just well, especially with the location being 5 minutes away from the Frost Bank Arena to watch a basketball game!

Check in was fast and easy. No line. Room, bedding and shower were clean. Bed was super comfortable. Hot water was immediate. Walls were thin, but the property was quiet, so not disturbances. Area felt industrial and a few people walking by the property. But not loud and wasn't constant. Location is close to freeway. For our weekend stay, this was a good hotel. Would stay again.

Close to the highway...

Few Amenities-No Iron, Ironing Board, No Mirrors in the room, No coffee pot/machine or coffee grounds, found a few bugs, No real continental breakfast only coffee and few donut packages. We've been to other facilities which have real continental breakfast (Ex: Waffles, eggs, sausage, toast/bagels, fruits, cereals, etc, etc).

Housekeeping could be better as well as “breakfast” juice was water and the cookies weren’t the best

The place was clean albeit a little snug. It’s inexpensive stay yet the place had thick wooden hangers and even a blow dryer. We’re happy with the extra 3rd pillow per bed. The owner/manager was friendly. Breakfast options include blueberry muffins, Coffee, apple juice and orange juice.

It was truly dirty. The staff was nice. They are saying that breakfast was included but nothing but coffee and cookies. I will never go back to this place again.

The Sky Palace had a rating of 8.x on Hotels. Com. It should be rated no better than a 2 or 3. It makes me doubt any Hotels. Com ratings. Old, run down, bathroom not much larger than an airplane bathroom, bed covers had patches and the neighborhood was terrible Also breakfast consisted of packaged pastries like at a convenience store.
