Hampton Inn by Hilton Montreal Downtown

They always ran out of dishes and cutlery at breakfast. They also frequently ran out of towels at the pool. The hot tub was out of order as well. The room was clean and the staff were friendly.

Great location. Great breakfast. Pool, gym, and hot tub were all a nice bonus.

Clean,modern hotel in a great location. Pool was much smaller than appeared in photos and not so clean. Staff was quick to attend to our needs.

Part of the area where the pool is was closed off. The pool was not heated. Other thank that great service, good breakfast buffet and the location was close to everything.

A fabulous location to explore Montréal downtown, Old Montreal, the port of Montreal, museums, China town, hop on the subway for other tourist sites. Just a fabulous buffet breakfast included. Kudos to all the great staff. We parked our rental car in the safe underground lot for 3 days ($30 per day but worth it). Loved our time in Montreal and the Hilton fit the bill perfectly.

Great location, decent gym, close to the metro, and nice attached restaurant. Nightclub upstairs great for the 20-somethings, but did not partake. But glad I'm a heavy sleeper...

The hotel was in a great location in Chinatown and walking distances to Old Montréal. Beware though, there are loud parties on the pool deck filled with teenagers. Music is booming. The description states that there is a pool and bar at the hotel, but you can never use it a night, so it's misleading.

Great location for tourists—just a 10-minute walk to Old Montreal and steps away from Chinatown, where there are plenty of dining options. The included breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. That said, the room could have been cleaner; the floor didn’t look properly vacuumed, so we were glad to have brought slippers. In addition, the conditioner was empty upon arrival and wasn’t refilled until the day after we called to request it. Overall, the stay was pleasant thanks to the location, staff, and breakfast, but the housekeeping could be improved.

I didnt like that my room had unclean bed sheets. Hair was all over the sheets. Shaved hair, and pubic hair. It was very gross. When asked to have it cleaned, the staff said they would take care of the situation right away. When i came back from dinner to my room, the bed was still not with me sheets. So then had to wait for the front desk guy to go and do it himself. That was the most disappointing part of my stay.

We stayed for 5 days. The location is convenient and the included breakfast is definitely a plus. However, the cleanliness could be improved, the staff only made the bed and took out the trash, but didn’t vacuum the floor or always restock essentials like toilet paper or trash bags. The bedsheets were changed once, but they looked quite old and worn, and the bathtub was clogged. Also, the hotel is just a block away from a homeless area, so the surroundings might feel a bit uncomfortable at times. Overall, it’s fine for what it is, a barely 3-star hotel, although it claims it. Quality and Price didn't match.

The beds are comfy as usual at Hampton inn, however thé breakfasts were crowded and difficult to secure seating, plates and cutlery. While the room was clean and well equipped, thére was an odd smell to the room that was most pronounced when entering.

Room was clean, I had to fix the toilet seat, there were no towels. When I called, the desk they’d said they would up in a few mins. Took 4 hours for the towels. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was bland but decent. The neighborhood was not very safe. Homeless everywhere. Was approached several times by the homeless. The Garage was fine, The small store needed way more options, it was adequate.

Room was spotless. Staff was excellent, helpful, courteous.

Check in was good and room was great until we went out for a while and came back to a horrendous smell. Called to front desk and they had someone come and check and agreed there was a bad odour. Option to switch room was presented and we took it only to discover same smell different room, another room another smell also had the supervisor come with me so he could smell room he said his nose isn't so good *his words* and when I asked for a room with a window that could be opened he said there were none available. I was in town for an event that was starting soon and I had to deal with all this and told I could leave the hotel but I couldn't I didn't have anything else booked. Their explanation of the smell was the cleaner they use so this would not be eco friendly because it was overpowering. We ended up staying there but I was concerned over night and they did put a fan in the room but I think you become accustom to the smell and the interaction with the night supervisor was terrible, he was not very professional IMO. The next morning I tried to take it up with the manager but he was unavailable so I spoke with day supervisor he was better but nonetheless the whole experience was exceptionally disappointing and the room was a horrible smell especially for an asthmatic.

Nous sommes restés 3 nuits. Il n'y a eu aucun service ménager: le lit n'a pas été fait, les poubelles n'ont pas été vidées, les serviettes n'ont pas été changées et aucun approvisionnement pour le papier de toilettes et les mouchoirs. Nous avons demandé des serviettes supplémentaires à une préposée aux chambres. Pas de sourire, rien. À notre départ, le personnel a l'accueil m'a informée qu'il faut faire la demande à chaque jour! Pour le déjeuner, il y a quand même un bon choix. Toutefois, les menus chauds étaient froids. Même quand les nouveaux plats arrivaient, ce n'était pas chaud.

Great room. The “view” wasn’t really a view though but it was ok. Breakfast was great with lots of options. Wished there had been a smart tv for Netflix etc.

Nice clean room with kitchen facilities and everything you require including plates etc. Had to turn off the AC as it was very noisy but that caused the room to get warm. Incredibly noisy outside, bin emptying in the middle of the night and the appliances in the room also made a lot of noise. Having said that we had just come from the UK and our sleep sequence was out which probably didn't help Location is great for Old Town and at the edge of China Town. Short walk to the action.

No smart T.V, make sure to bring your own streaming devices and internet to connect that device to

Pillows were flat and not supportive. Bed was a bit lumpy.

Room was alright. Not much of a view. Bathroom had mold along the edges of the tub. Door did not close or lock. Room TV does not allow you to screen cast. Only basic TV options. Can't use Netflix etc. If you go here, bring a screen cast USB and plug it into the TV. This way you can use your phone or laptop to cast to the TV all your Netflix, etc shows without actually connecting your account to the hotel TV. Then when checking out, just take the USB with you.

Room was clean, big, and nice! Only odd thing ive noticed with a lot of hotels and not sure why they do this. bathooms seems to be coming less private. door is a slide door, doesnt close, just slides over the bathroom

Our stay was fine, rooms were comfortable and quiet. However the cheque in experience was enough to never go back. We arrived very early because of returning a faulty motorhome. A lady named Li was kind and very nice to take our baggage, tag it and store it till our room was ready. Because we would need to spend several hours killing time, I asked when would be the soonest that we could cheque in, she said that our room was already vacated and they would get it ready soon and we could check at noon. We returned at 12;35 and Li was busy, we were assisted by a younger male, i do not remember his name, but when he greeted me with a smile, and spoke in French, when I answered in English, he became quite rude, (I never saw another smile while I remained at his desk) He told me check ins are not promised till 3;00 but he would see what he could do. We sat in the lobby for 2 hours waiting. Finally my wife went up when she saw Li was not busy and she said yes your room is ready and quickly checked us in. Although Li was very helpful this experience left us wondering if we would ever go back.

Front desk staff was extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast staff was respectful, however, it was extremely busy and the staff was doing their best to keep up.

I got there and was told my reservation had been canceled months prior!! I never canceled anything!!! The hotel blames hotels. Com. They are busy blaming each other while I had to pay for the room twice!!!!

We stayed 3 nights for vacation. Umm, no briefing when we check-in, the staff expected we should read the card for like breakfast time. Next day, we went out at early morning and went back before 3pm, our room did not clean. Front desk explained to us that housekeeping service from 9am-5pm. Well, we just got some towels. The day after, we went out before 11am and backed to hotel after 6pm, OUR ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED YET!!! We went to front desk however the staff said we put a DND sign, huh?!!! Do you mean before 11am? The staff said can only arrange for trash and change towels coz housekeep staff was off, the staff recommended we stay in the room. As we prefer not there so he said it will only take 15 mins. Unfortunately, after 40 mins, OUR ROOM WAS STILLING NOT CLEANED YET!!! so we went to the front desk again, the staff apologize and said will arrange someone to do it now. We waited at the lobby for the cleaning. After 20 mins later, I can't see the staff we approached before, so we can only talked to another one The staff didn't feel sorry, just said he couldn't find any record of our issue in the system. When I tried to tell him the story he said "you are first time tell me about it" What?!!! What's the conversation here??? It's talking about we waited for over an hour for a general house keeping service. It's really disappointed and made me angry during stay.

We were able to get the last room for the night and the staff was very accommodating. I appreciate there information and willing to help.

Staff really friendly and helpful. Front desk provided good suggestions and maps to help navigate the city. Room was clean and spacious. Stay included breakfast which was convenient. Location was located a short walking distance to Old Montreal and downtown area as well as the metro, making it a good central location to explore Montreal.

Just the check in was late 5:30 pm room was not ready but the rooms were so clean and customer service was excellent and addressed my need fo support. The breakfast were so darn good and friendly guest service we will be back!

I had a mostly positive experience staying here. The only issue I had was during check-in was that I wasn’t aware of the required security deposit, which should’ve been made clear by Expedia. That said, the hotel staff were incredibly patient and helpful, even while I was on the phone with my bank. Their customer service really stood out. The room was spotless, modern, comfortable, and immaculately clean. It had everything I needed and felt well-maintained. The gym was basic, but functional. The free Wi-Fi was the biggest downside. It was good enough for reading manga and checking the news but kept disconnecting and couldn’t handle streaming or downloads. I didn’t upgrade to the premium Wi-Fi since my stay was for a week. The location was excellent, it was safe and walkable to the convention center and nearby attractions. It felt like any major North American city, but I appreciated how easy it was to get around. The most memorable part of the stay was how clean and safe the hotel felt. While the price was on the higher side, I believe it was worth it. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We were not told about needing to use our key in the elevator. We had no TV remote in our room - but they did bring us one. Parking was not explained/ or well marked

We really liked our stay here while attending a conference. The expo grounds are just meters away and the hotel being in Chinatown, we have many dinning options. Rooms are updated and very clean!

Aside from being so close to the homeless shelter, which made it feel unsafe walking during the night, our 7 days of stay was comfortable. It was convenient to a variety of Asian foods and public transportation.

This hotel has a great location - extremely walkable, super easy to explore old Montreal, close to a metro & easy fairly easy highway access if driving. I saw some reviews where reviewers complained about the unhoused population around the area the hotel. This wasn’t a problem for us. We never, ever felt unsafe, and what we saw was typical of any major city such as Toronto, Vancouver etc… and is not something to be concerned about in terms of booking. It may be jarring if you’re from a more rural area, but it really wasn’t unusual for a city of this size. Our stay was…. Fine. But only fine. The rooms were clean & the staff were polite. But honestly? This hotel charges more than some others we looked at - we thought it would be worth it for the amenities such as breakfast included & the rooftop pool area, but no. I’d say book elsewhere for less money & get more bang for your buck. Pool area isn’t nearly as nice as it appears in pictures, not well stocked with towels and only one of the two pools was open. Breakfast was truly, truly poor. The single worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever experienced. Wayyy too over crowded, it was like the hunger games to get a seat, understaffed (the staff working were busting their butts to keep up, but just couldn’t) & the food was just abysmal. Montreal is such an incredible food city - book somewhere cheaper without breakfast & enjoy a croissant or breakfast sandwich at one of many gorgeous cafes instead. We’ll be booking elsewhere next time.

And the location was great....we were able to walk to all of the areas of the city that we wanted to visit. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Montreal!

The hotel was reasonably priced, very nice and very clean. The staff were polite and helpful. It was great to have breakfast and hot coffee to start the day. The only downside was outside the hotel. There was a homeless encampment very close by and we had to walk through it to get to where we wanted to go. The area didn’t feel safe.

Everything is great except for homeless people in the way from the hotel to old Montréal Location at the boundary of China town makes the location excellent. 10 min walking to old Montréal. I walked from train station to the hotel, 12 to 15 min walking.

The included breakfast was excellent, lots of choices and variety for everyone.

Nice location. Walkable to areas in old Montreal. Breakfast was great but very busy. Had to wait for a table and delays in food and utensils.

An excellent experience and location very good. One negative experience was breakfast which was hectic; there did not seem to be any organisational flow as all guests seemed to be in each other’s way due to the layout and lack of space.

Staff is great. The buffet is always crowded. They run out of forks. So difficult to eat. Other than that it was nice.

It's close to main tourist spots which was great. Breakfast can be improved, the area is bit crowded and flow of people can be better managed. Also breakfast items for a Hilton hotel can be or should be better.

The hotel is lovely and clean but in an area of Montreal that could use some cleaning up. You can walk a couple blocks around the area but be prepared to do so. Emergency vehicles are dispatched to this area many times during the night and day with sirens blazing. The restaurant in the hotel that was recommended by the check in staff forgot our order, sloppily put it together, was rude upon delivery an hour and a half later and still we had to pay full price. The restaurants name was called Tiramisu. Please dont waste your money here.
