Good stay

心地の良いリゾートホテルで　バイロンベイをリラックスして過ごすためによいところだと思います。 過去15年以上何度も利用していますが、海に出る際や散歩に使える大きなレインフォレストの中の小道へのアクセスが少なくなっているのが少し残念ですが、迷わない整備された道が歩けると言えるかもしれません。 プール横のラウンジでいただけるカクテルや飲み物の種類も豊富で　静かでほのかなよい香りがある環境もとても良いです。

Outstanding experience staying at Crystalbrook, highly recommend

After reading so many glowing reviews, I expected Crystalbrook Byron to be the relaxing luxury 5-star rainforest retreat it claims to be. Unfortunately, the reality never matched the promise. What disappointed me most was the gap between expectation and reality. A musty room with mould concerns, dust, spider webs, a shower that occasionally switched itself on, disrupted sleep and a room move were not what I expected from a property positioned and priced as a luxury retreat. I have photos of several of these issues. A few maintenance or cleanliness issues might not bother me in a 3-star property. At this level, however, guests are paying for attention to detail, proactive maintenance and an experience that feels genuinely cared for. Those standards were simply not met. To his credit, Hugh, the Front Office Manager, took the time to listen to my concerns. However, listening and delivering are not always the same thing, and the overall experience never recovered. Technically there was a rainforest. The tranquillity proved much harder to locate. As for the private beach that was advertised on the booking platform at the time of my stay, Hugh was still looking for it when I checked out. To their credit, the listing has since been updated, but it became a perfect illustration of the gap between expectation and reality that characterised the entire stay. After the first night, I was already looking forward to getting back home. Home is more restorative and a lot cheaper.
