It gets incredibly hot in the rooms in the summertime. No cooling and old beds. Very boring breakfast. Nice garden and nice with your own access to the lake. Too expensive.

Beautiful setting right on the lake with parking and right next to bus stop that takes you to Thun. Great breakfast. Needs better attention on the reception as there was no one there to do the check-in in the afternoon. Should've warned that the elevator was broken.

We enjoyed the lake view from our room on the 4th floor. It was a world class grand view. The receptionist were very helpful for our tourist related questions. During our stay the elevator was not working though. We were there 5 days and we had to walk those 5 floors every time. The hotel staff did help carry our luggage when we checked in and also when we checked out.

We absolutely loved this hotel. We booked a balcony room with a lake view. There is no air conditioning in this room but we were able to open windows on both sides since it on the corner. The hotel restaurant was closed the days we stayed there, so we had to go other places for dinner. The hotel stay included a pass for the bus and the stop going towards Thun is right across the street and the bus towards Interlaken is about 50m down the road.

Our room balcony overlooked lake Geneva and there is a swim platform out back so we had a glorious swim. Staff are very nice and accommodating. Restaurant and food were good. Nice Italian restaurant across the street. One complaint is since no AC you keep all windows and doors open and tons of small ants got in. A few aren’t a problem but they were everywhere. Bed, sink, table, floors. Aside from that this is an amazing hotel in a perfect location.

The views from our rooms were amazing. The hotel is older. The carpet felt dated and the area around the shower had some mold due to water leaking. One of the room had a slightly musky smell when we checked in. The breakfast buffet is fair. The staff were friendly. Can take a 5-10 minute stroll at the back of the hotel by the lake with nice views. The dinner at the restaurant was good. The pillows could be firmer and the towels more plush. The junior suite we booked were spacious. Overall a good stay.

Das Hotel ist in den Zimmern sauber, aber trotzdem braucht es mal neue Teppiche in naher Zukunft. Ansonsten herrlich - super Zimmer mit Seeblick und Balkon. Historisch schönes Hotel, schade, dass es nur wenige Gäste hatte (Dezember und schlechtes Wetter 2 Wochen vor Weihnachten - verständlich. The building was beautiful and the room was nice and big. The view looking out is absolutely gorgeous. The view also in the back is amazing. Unfortunately, their breakfast did not match The view. Also, we thought the breakfast was complimentary and even then I wouldn't have eaten it, but I didn't realize we were getting charged even for the breakfast for how bad it was. Also there is not AC in all the rooms. Keep that in mind if it's a hot day that you go. Also the water is leaking out on the shower onto the carpet. Without there being AC it could cause some mildew buildup if they don't get on top of it. Even with those things we really enjoyed or stay.

The Restaurant Bellevue au Lac was excellent choice & located on the beautiful lake Thun, it had great views, a wonderful restaurant and friendly & very helpful staff. Free Bus passes were included into town and beds & room cleaned daily. A+++ We are looking forward to staying here again!

Begrüssung und Verabschiedung an der Rezeption sehr nett. Frühstück eher durchschnittlich, nichts besonderes. Frühstücksservice unterdurchschnittlich: auf meine sehr höfliche Frage, ob ich evtl. auch ein Spiegelei bekommen könnte, wurde ich sehr forsch darauf verwiesen, dass es ja Rührei hat. Zimmer mit toller Aussicht, allerdings im Charme der 80er. Gewisse Aspekte lassen nicht vermuten, dass das Zimmer gründlich gereinigt wurde. Somit Preis-Leistung nicht stimmig.

Checking in wasn't the best and not offered a welcome drink had to ask when the other couple we were with were offered one. Rooms dated and not great design, waste of space for sitting area when the bathroom is crammed into a small space. Road was noisy and church bells af 6.45am in the mornin.

Beautiful room we had overlooking the Lake! Large room and large balcony. Nice bathroom. Clean room. Had a refrigerator and a sitting area in the room. 4 large windows and it overlooked the church which rang its bells. The balcony has a electric canopy that you can put out if it rains and had a little table/2 chairs. You can watch the boats go by. We walked to the castle close by. Was able to go to the town which had stores and restaurants (15 mins. from the place). Great buffet breakfast also. Everything closes early, so it you want to eat in the town, make sure you go early.

We loved our room! The view was breathtaking! The breakfast was ok. This is a no alcohol hotel, though it has a bar, we did not know that - not advertised. When the main waiter found out we didn't speak German, he was quite rude, so we didn't do dinner there.

I was not sent nor offered the Panorama Travel card to help me get around the region. Also, there is a Manager from an middle eastern country who has been yelling at his employees for the last 20 minutes in his office, as several guests, including myself, were quite put off as we waited in the lobby for various reception questions, and gave up. What a terrible way to treat others. I'm sorry the hotel has obviously lost it's local ownership. I also found the men of eastern descent at this hotel quite dismissive of women guests. For example, only the male guests were being offered coffee in the reception lounge this morning. Not a very good impression when you are a female guest. And not that it matters to me, but if you enjoy a glass of wine with supper, as even Jesus himself did, you'll have no luck here. The religious culture of the people who own the hotel do not allow alcohol to be purchased nor drank here, unless you bring your own and have it in your room. Wow.

Loved the location and modern upgrades of the rooms. Restaurant would be busier if alcohol was permitted. I enjoyed the restaurant next door at the neighbouring hotel and their beautiful Riveria Bar. Was funny to see the staff of my neighbouring hotel coming over there too after work. I believe it's a cultural reason there is no alcohol permitted now, as it is no longer owned by locals, but Middle Eastern folks. Nice stay none the less. Kind tip: The Manager should reconsider yelling at people in his office, even if it's just the way he speaks. It makes some guests very uncomfortable.

Staff were warm, helpful, friendly and courteous. The view of the lake, snow capped mountains and nearby old church was exactly what I desired and very breathtaking. Transportation was accessible to other areas as the bus stops were close by. We were also very happy to be surprised by the hotel with area bus passes to the surrounding areas, this made getting around a whole lot easier and we are very grateful for that. After visiting Interlaken and Grindelwald, which were very congested with other tourists, we were certainly extremely happy with our decision to stay at Bellevue Au Lac. We had a most pleasant stay, Hotel Bellevue Au Lac would definitely be our first choice if we decide to return to the area.

Hotel is quite far from Interlaken, which is about 1 hour bus journey. The building is an old building. Toilet was renovated, but the room is small and carpet is old. Nice lake and mountain view from the balcony. The staffs are friendly. If you are look for hotel near Interlaken train station, this is abit too far for you.

We found just right, far enough away from the town centre for a peaceful experience. Town centre easily assessable via bus stop out the front or stroll the beautiful lakeside walkways to get to town centre. Views from lakeside room balcony outstanding. Meals were nice and the female waiters very friendly.
