Everything about the room was great. Only negatives were it took a while for someone to show up to check us in which normally wouldn't be a big deal but it was uncharacteristically hot so the wait felt longer than it was and the room we got was right next to a room that was under construction which started at around 9 am Sat, Sun and Mon on a holiday weekend. It wasn't terribly loud but enough to not sleep in for a night person. Also, the ice machine was unplugged but there's a CVS right around the corner. Would gladly stay here again, all of the staff were friendly and helpful and it was in a convenient location with several places within walking distance

Great little spot in Santa Barbara! The room was quite cute, very clean, and exceeded our expectations for the price! Parking was a little tricky with our U-haul trailer since the lot is pretty tight, but we found some street parking not too far away. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an affordable place to crash in the area.

Location and price are the reasons you go. The room was surprisingly nice - nice faux wood floors, microwave, fridge and coffee pot. Bathroom was new and mostly clean (wife found a hair and faucet dripped, but I thought it was clean. Beds were comfortable and AC worked. I'd rate this 3.5 stars. What it was missing, no mirror in the room (big deal for my wife). She wanted to put on makeup but had to wait for the bathroom to be available. Plus there were no pictures - just white (very clean!) walls. Next, the outside had toilets in boxes stacked up with other supplies. The motel was quaint and nice, but this visually took things away. The ice maker did not work and even though we got back at 330, our room was not clean. We were next for the maid, but it was too late for us. Would be come back again - yes! These were minor details and you can't beat the location for the cost. The people were nice and as mentioned, the rooms were clean and comfortable. To throw your head down at night - I'd recommend.

Excellent location & quiet, despite being on State Street. Spacious room, comfy bed, effective air conditioning & good parking immediately outside room. Lovely walk-in shower with easy to regulate temperature. Free coffee always available in Reception. The WiFi was fast and reliable. Would recommend

I’ve been to more expensive hotels on State St. but ironically, this bargain priced hotel has better Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. And above all, the staff headed by Jay and Saloni, attend to everything that you could possibly want and provide everything you could possibly wish for. People always make the difference. This is my chosen stay, forever and a day! Love them!

The operators at the front desk weee amazing, very helpful and friendly and for that I give 5 stars. The property is a work in progress so there are a lot of materials laying around. Once you get into the room it is better. The rooms were clean and well stocked with a fridge & coffee. The area was quiet in the evening.

As others have stated: spotless. Very friendly. Very small. 10 total rooms. Old-school motel that has been very well-renovated. Clean, comfy beds. Not far from the beach and downtown. Well-priced. This place is a great choice for anyone with mobility issues as convenient one-level motel offers parking spots within a few steps of the room.

We stayed here overnight and got bit by a bunch of small bed bugs. The mattress itself had a lot of stains. Bedding, towels, bathroom and kitchen looked clean. There were limited amenities like no plates, utensils, a pot or a pan to even use if we wanted to heat something on the stove or microwave. Be good they even just provide some cheap paper plates to use. That's just what is to expect for this place just got to provide more of your own items. We didn't get the king bed we reserved for when it wasn't available when we checked in. Expedia should lets us know we may not get bed we reserved for. The parking here is limited so you may have to park in the other parking lot. Overall if it wasn't for the bed bugs or a stained mattress the stay was ok.

Staff were above and beyond friendly and took great care of us. The room was quite nice and fairly clean, but could use a little deep cleaning (doors, walls) otherwise this would be 5 stars. Also I'd suggest a mirror in the room as there's just the bathroom mirror and often hotel guests are visiting from out of town for an event and it's helpful to have 2 mirrors when 2 or more people are getting ready to go out.

Trash around the parking lot.An old air conditioning unit throwed up against the fence. The floor was so filthy I had to wash my feet.They were black from the dirt. It’s good for what it is: an inexpensive one night stay type of place. The room was clean. Considering the ratings, I went in with low expectations and it turned out a bit better than that. The bed easily moves because it has wheels so that was bothersome. Pillows aren’t fluffy they are uncomfortable. But for the price, it was good enough for a night.

Stood in a room that felt more like a closet. Small desk (with rolling chair) as soon as you walk in, with the bed directly to the right. Small closet and back view of property was an alley where they stored an old bed mattress and bed frame. No window or peephole to look out towards the parking lot and keep an eye on the car. The sink in the bathroom smelled horrible once you started running the water. It smelled like hair that’s been rotting in the pipes for years. The toiletries they provide you are probably the cheapest brand available for hotels/motels. Not worth the $300+ (with fees) per night. If it was in another city like Los Angeles, the rate for a room like this would be $65 a night, tops! The front door to the room had a bad seal around the whole thing, so while trying to sleep, you still see enough light coming through that it’ll keep you up at night.

This was a very safe area overall. However, when I turned the AC it gave a tobacco smell, so I had to turn it off. Also, there are very thin walls and you could hear people saying talking past 12am.

The bed was quite comfortable. Decent size room. Parking lot was well lit, but that was also the source of the only issue I had, which was that the blackout curtains didn’t fully black out the room. Light came in under the bottom of the curtains which I was able to mostly fix by shoving the curtains into the window sill. There was still light bleeding through the curtains though as they weren’t fully opaque. It was dark enough that I could still get to sleep though. A/C worked well.

This is a motel. Single story, old building, that has been renovated. Room 109 did not have a functioning bathroom window lock (broken) so a bit concerning when you are on the ground floor. The beds were very comfortable, but the bedding is not to hotel standard. All in all, a inexpensive place to rest your head

Room was very clean, bathroom spotless. Although the description of this motel did not say it was recently remodeled, the room that I received (109) was brand new. New textured drywall, new paint, new tile flooring throughout, new tiled stand-up shower, new toilet, new sink, the works!. The only items that seemed to be "re-used" were the TV, fridge, AC unit and microwave, but they were all in great condition. The only thing that I thought was weird was that there was not a phone in the room and they advertised "free local calls." I had two queen beds, which were both new mattresses, but they were not comfort-plush, nor medium soft. They were definitely firm mattresses and I could feel and hear the springs when I moved. Also, there were no headboards either. I would suggest replacing the mattresses with more comfortable ones and installing splash-proof headboards directly to the walls. Overall, great room and Wi-Fi signal, very pleasant, quaint motel. I am definitely booking my next upcoming trip to Santa Barbara with them again. I recommend this motel. FYI: they require you to present your reservation payment CC at check-in and they ADD $100 refundable deposit.

The front desk attendant, D, was very nice and welcoming! The hotel was located less than 10 minutes from the downtown area where we needed to be this past weekend. There were a handful of places to eat that were walking distance, too. This place was perfect for our budget.

No bedspread. TV was in demo mode and then didn’t work. Sink didn’t drain. Lumpy pillows. Paper keycard holder was used multiple times and unsanitary and dirty. Room REEKED of cheap air freshener. Luggage rack was broken. Three metal hangers were provided from a dry cleaner. Staff was unhelpful. Had to kick them out of the room at 9pm because I was tired of waiting for them to fix the TV. And then she questioned why I asked her to leave. The blue eyed man at checkout was less than helpful. I requested a refund from Expedia when I was still in the parking lot and the property declined. Motel was disgusting. Don’t stay here or the sister property.

Rang doorbell on locked office . No response for at least five minutes. That left me feeling uneasy! It’s around 10pm, I just drive for 5 hours and I’m really hoping someone will be letting me into the room I reserved. When he did respond he said he was at other property and would be right over. I don’t even think he said hello. Just asked for ID and credit card and gave me my card to get in. Had to go back to ask what direction my room was in as it was not clear. Also No parking anywhere near room. Lot seemed very crowded considering the number of rooms up here. The room itself is ok. Bathroom looks like it was recently renovated. Paint looks good. Nothing fancy.

I’ve been to more expensive hotels on State St. but ironically, this bargain priced hotel has better Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. And above all, the staff headed by Jay and Saloni, attend to everything that you could possibly want and provide everything you could possibly wish for. People always make the difference. This is my chosen stay, forever and a day! Love them!

We had a fantastic stay at Town and Country Inn. The staff was so kind. We had a wedding we were attending and needed an early check in and the kind man at the front desk was happy to help. We will definitely stay here when we return to Santa Barbara.

The room we booked was unavailable ehen we arrived so the owner upgraded our room to a suite. Staff was very friendly, kind & accommodating. They keep the property looking nice. The facility is small, but clean. Nice, Quaint & simple. The rooms did not smell of smoke but people were smoking in the parking lot. I am not a smoker so it was noticeable to me. That is no reflection on the proprty or it's owner though. Thank you for your kind accomodations.

We only stayed for 2 nights, and were away during the day. The person at check in was nice. One of the bed in the room was horrible. It was mushy and seemed to collapsed in the middle. It was ok for 2 nights, but I couldn't stay longer. If you're looking to stay in downtown SB, this is not walkable to downtown.

Excellent location & quiet, despite being on State Street. Spacious room, comfy bed, effective air conditioning & good parking immediately outside room. The property is an older small motel that has had a well done interior remodel. The outside could use some attention but that is not significant to my rating. 2 items which are easily fixed could have raised the rating with nearly no effort on the part of Town and Country. There is no way to determine if they are different on your stay so, pack a roll of you preferred toilet paper and a small bottle of your shampoo. The TP they supply is of such poor quality that it should not be used. Way too thin, sheets are very small any moisture dissolves them on contact. The shampoo cannot be opened with wet hands. Teeth or scissors befor your hands are wet. Every other aspect was fine and it is right on a bus line that goes to a transportation center so the whole city is easilly accessable at low cost.

We found the hotel clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the towels new and plentiful. The location on State St. was convenient for our outings to Goleta and Lower State St. We would stay at this location again.

The stay was adequate to our needs. The room had a working Tv, microwave, and fridge which was nice. The employee at the front desk wouldn’t let my boyfriend pay because he had charged the room to my card I used for the reservation before I even checked-in even though the reservation said pay on arrival which was a bit odd. Overall the room was very nice and clean and the stay was pleasant. The price for the room was very reasonable.

Great location. I thought it may be noisy at night but was pleasantly surprised that it was very quiet. It's a bit away from the main State St restaurants scene so it's quiet. There are cafes nearby so morning coffee is not a problem. Clean, basic room.

Staff in the office were very nice. Close to Santa Barbara Bowl, the fun part of State Street, and the Pier. Room was very nice with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. My only complaint is that the coffee pot wasn't clean.

They tried to charge me a pet fee of an additional $130 + tax per night for what turned out to be a filthy room with a lumpy, uncomfortable bed and stained, disgusting pillows. When I objected they gave me a “deal” of just $65 + tax extra per night, which was still more than any pet fee I’ve paid. The front desk and cleaning staff were all nice and I don’t blame them — I’m sure management doesn’t hire enough staff to do a thorough job. I know Santa Barbara is expensive, but it shouldn’t be this expensive for this level of quality. The pictures show how gross it was. The bottom of my foot looked like that after walking across the room barefoot for just a couple minutes. And you can see what I swept off the floor myself (thankfully I had a dustpan with me). Don’t let anyone you care about stay here.
