Howard Johnson by Wyndham Tifton GA I-75

This motel is under construction and I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived, but the stay was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. When there was a small issue with our refrigerator, they were very apologetic. We did not get down to breakfast but they even sent us along with a little prepackaged bag that was yummy and much appreciated. I would absolutely stay here again!

Hate the parking

Immediately next to I-75 this classic motel is safe, quiet, convenient, has plenty of parking with tractor trailer parking at the gas station next door. The gas station has sundries and quick bites too. Best of all the reception and housekeeping staff are the epitome of Southern Hospitality with their friendy, helpful ways. As a solo traveler I was very pleased with room 102. Very clean, fridge and microwave, large bathroom, desk, like new sheets on the bed, quiet efficient air cond and heating. Everything was exceptional. Good price with 2-star amenities. Bring your own food.

The BEST THING was the courtesy and friendliness of the entire staff. They get 5 stars. The room was clean, but the toilet struggled to flush, and after telling the desk on Saturday they said maintenance was off on the weekend, as if the problems only happen during the week. This is 3.5 stars. Overall the place was not very clean. Stairwell has trash on it the whole time (not that I care). I give 2.5 stars. I felt very sorry for the staff because their air conditioning did not work and since MAINTENANCE was OFF they had the doors open and finally had to set up office in room 110. I give the staff a 5 for ensuring the misery and maintenance a 0 for failing across the board, or the franchise owner who tightened the budget by not making maintenance work 7 days a week. Average 3.2 stars

Parking was easy

The hotel was very nice. It looked like it had been recently renovated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. The employees were friendly and quick to check you in when you arrive. This is a nice place to stop for a good night's sleep.

The stay was great it is a cheap No Frills No Frills nice little hotel to stay the night on the way to Florida very clean they just cleaned the carpets cleaned the room and the hotel smelled amazing I would say the only downfall was that the air conditioning was broken the main lobbying in the hallway but the room air conditioners were working just fine I would definitely give it a 9 out of 10 it would be a 10 out of 10 if the air conditioner was working in the hallway definitely will stay again service was nice

I enjoyed the clean room. For the price and how it's gone lately it was a nice suprise. The building and rooms are a touch older but very well keeped. Bathroom was acceptable and worked just fine. Check in and out was smooth. Parking had plenty of spots. No restaurants at the exit but within a mile there are many. For the hotel eaters they had the normal spread for breakfast. Would stay again.

Wonderful I was nervous with the low price. It was a great experience. Very clean and smelled great. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly!

I am a platinum member. This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. I felt sick in the morning from the mold that covered the room. I was sneezing and my throat was and still is today.

For the discounted price this the cleanest motel I have stayed at. Full set of towels and bathroom supplies, room floors were clean for barefoot walking and the room had a fresh smell. The breakfast was basic no eggs, sausage or waffle machine. Highly recommend a stay here for the discount price $60 total

Bugs on bed, hair in tub and floor of bathroom

The beds were comfortable. The room clean. I was expecting no carpet, since i saw no carpet in picture. Not a fan of carpet. The hallway carpet, not so good. I wasnt expecting a hot breakfast, so breakfast was fine. Bagels, cereal, yogurt and coffe/juices

Well, I heard a certain president say if you walked into a restaurant and the floors were dirty you should leave. The first thing I noticed here were the various stains on the carpet in the hallways. I guess that was a sign. We opened the door to our room and it had a terrible odor like cat pee or mildew. We asked for a different room and the receptionist was kind enough to oblige. The new room smelled better so we stayed. The beds felt like a mattress you might sleep on in a youth camp or maybe a prison but I'm not sure since I don't have that delightful experience. Anyway it was too late to consider other options so we stayed but I hope there won't be a next time. Breakfast? Forget about it.

The room itself was basically clean. The floor was quite sticky in the room. The hallway had dog pee, stains on it. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful.

Everything was okay except that we were put in an adjoining room, and we could hear EVERY WORD the man in the adjoining room said. It felt like the walls were very thin. Thankfully he didn't talk all night long. :-)

good stay except wifi bad

Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Kept hearing other people, sounded like they were trying to open my door. AC noisy while running then too quiet when cycling off, very jarring. I could not relax and could not sleep.

I was in the area for an event in a small town where all the local hotels were sold out. Howard Johnson’s in Tifton was pretty much the only available option (I was actually surprised to find out they were still around). Much to my surprise, the hotel turned out to be much better than expected. While it will never be confused with a Hyatt, this hotel was well maintained and extremely clean. Best of all, being located off the main drag in Tifton, it is very quiet, even though it is almost directly over I-75. They must have used triple pane glass in the windows or something! It’s located right next to a gas station with a large convenience store, which is also a plus. Plenty of parking and the staff is great. Rooms are on the small side and the mattresses are a little on the hard side and the breakfast isn’t much to speak of. But for the substantial savings you’ll get by staying here, you can get breakfast anywhere you like and still come out ahead. I would have no problem staying here again if I ever had to stop in Tifton for the night.

The room was in perfect condition, the bed extremely comfortable and for the first time in a long time in a hotel I didn’t have to struggle with an overly heavy comforter. The bed had an actual blanket with just a bed cover and it was perfect. The breakfast was very minimal but what I expected for the amazing price.

WiFI not working

Room was too small for two queen beds. Toilet was in poor condition. Tank was constantly refilling and eventually we had to put our hand into tank to flush the toilet. The room was subject to a lot of highway noise. We will not return.

The hotel was hard to find via GPS, but the room was excellent. It was quiet and I heard no noise from the street. The WiFi was in and out, mostly out, and stores were not far away.

The room was clean, as well as the hallway and check in area. The lady who checked us in was friendly. The room was clean it’s just an old hotel that needs work. The walls have been patched and paint covering it. The room provided us with a place to sleep for a few hours so it did the job.

The room was nice enough and the people were nice. We just needed to sleep and go on with our trip. The only downside was the AC didn't cool properly, it was set on 69 and felt like it was 79 on the room. I turned the thermostat down to 66 and it was pleasant enough to sleep. I used the coffee pot for tea before bed but it didn't work the next morning. There was a piece of food that was in the desk chair that could've easily been overlooked. So the good outweighed the little things that was not. I would stay again but make sure the AC was working properly.

I work for a law enforcement agency. In the process of trying to cancel the room I had not even checked into the front desk clerk was continuously rude, I asked what I needed to do, that there would not be a cancellation fee as it was reserved by a booking agency. Oh no, they hit me for an additional $59 charge.

Check in lady seemed as tho we were a bother, it was later in the evening. I got on and did pre-check in on my phone. As we were checking in I got a credit card notification i figured it was the incidental charge hold. Was tired so we went to bed when i got up looked at the charge and she charged me for the room. Lucky i asked for a receipt before we checked out and the dayshift person told me i prepaid with hotels and i said i got charged last night, so she refunded it. The room was average, beds not super comfy but we were really tired. There was a used washcloth hanging in the shower when we got there. Water got hot and had pretty good pressure. Did not see any bugs of any type while we were there.

The hotel itself was okay. However, we wanted to watch TV and relax after driving all day. Well, the TV remote didn't work. The front desk mgr changed batteries. Still it didn't work. The front desk mgr suggested to stand and use buttons on TV....really? I would like to get compensated for the issue.

I appreciated Tammy, who warmly greeted me and helped me with directions to stores and dining places on the nearby Exit 62. Also, Teresa, a housekeeper, even though she was leaving work, without hesitating, stopped and filled a bag with ice for me as I was heading up on the elevator. Excellent staff who worked hard to meet our needs.

I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room. At breakfast the items were not replenish as the was no body available. I hardly have any such continental breakfast items. I went to the desk twice, ringing the bell for assistance, telling them that there was no more coffee, no bowels for the cereal. Also twice I asked for more milk. The last time I was told “we do not have any more milk”. The breakfast is already very meager as it is, but no more milk for the cereal, or for my self supplied tea bag is poor.

I didn't even stay one night The front desk lady was mean and rude before I even got to the door and smoking a cigarette me and my family was very disgusted

Very convenient off the interstate. Quiet and well kept.

This is a hidden gem tucked away in Tifton Georgia. If you need a nice and clean place to stay that is right off I-75 south I recommend this location. Second year in a row that I stayed here when visiting. I will be back.

We liked the intake staff. We liked that the room was clean and the toilet and shower were both clean and performed as assumed. We liked the hard mattresses and clean sheets with pillows that were two firm and two soft. Because of the internet deception, we didn’t know this place was right next to I-75 with all the diverse sounds vehicles produce and can be heard from a distance and getting louder and louder, the closer they are in proximity to this place. Had we known this place was just yards from interstate 75, other accommodations may have been obtained. As it was; the roaring interstate sounds of vehicles approaching - passing and slowly fading away, kept us awake until 12 midnight. THEN AT 5:30 AM, we were awoken to abrupt LOUD, loud sounds, just on the other-side of the bedroom wall. We learned later that morning that the breakfast cabinets were being shut in a manner that not only startled us awake but also the three sounds each cabinet makes IS LIKE SLAMMING A BASKETBALL AGAINST THE WALL THREE TIMES FOR EACH CABINET USED TO STORE BREAKFAST CONDIMENTS. DID WE SAY THE SOUNDS WERE LOUD? They were REALLY LOUD. And room #111 is the adjoining room. The LOUD NOISES CAME IN 3’s like a basketball being slammed repeatedly at 5:30AM and lasted until 6:07AM. Then just as we were beginning to fall asleep, there was the loud sound of running water (like filling a bathtub) from 6:08AM thru 6:14AM. At 6:16AM we heard the sounds of drawers being opened and loudly shut repeatedl

One nighter on our way to Florida. Convenient location right next to highway access. Everything was perfect. Quickie breakfast selections all we needed to get up & going. We’ll definitely be back!

Stayed here before . Clean and close to I75

Very basic bare bones hotel. It’s a good stop over for one night but extremely basic amenities. Hotel is dated but clean. Beds were comfortable & shower was ok. Breakfast is the most basic I’ve ever seen but if you are happy with a granola bar and a fruit, then you’ll be fine.

Good hotel for the money. Minimal breakfast. Bagels yogurt cereal fruit coffee juice. Blowdryer didnt work. Desk supplied a replacement. Shower towel mat was wet which was weird. Also had to ask for a roll pf toilet paper as we only had a 1/4 roll upon arrival.All in all it was gooð for the money. Would stay again.

The bedframe shows wear and there were ants in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and some of the room look updated. The breakfast was a cold breakfast.

Basic hotel, nothing fancy, limited breakfast item

The breakfast was poor. Only 3 tables in dining area, coffee machine was broken, apple juice was water, no hot food at all, no butter etc. It was very noisy throughout the night.
