They charge for parking 18 per day per vehichle also charge for occupant tax 17 per person then charge for late check out of 75 for electric fee plus tax 100 for incidentals It's a very average place close to beach is it's only good quality! After one night and late check out it was 340 dollars! Just do your own research people !

The people at the office were very helpful. The morning breakfast offered enough good choices. The pool was a plus. Motel was very close to the beach and boardwalk both of which are outstanding. The room was nice and clean. If you want maid service you need to request it. They supply beach towels. Microwave and fridge were a plus.

Cleanness on the room was ok, mold on the kitchen wall, garbage surround the pool area, beer can, cigars, drink bottles etc., They charge you $18.00 for parking space but there is no parking space, you have to park on the street and pay $4.00 per hour extra, some staff charge $25.00 CASH to park in the 15 parking space available to visitor at the beach taking guest parking.

Loved the cozy, clean rooms and the fact that it was right on the beach and steps away from dining and live music. Hotel had everything--pool, exercise room, the rooms had kitchenettes with all appliances. The only downside was that checkin took too long

Everything about this little hotel was perfect. The pool the barbecue area walking distance to the beach and all the restaurants and nightlife. We honestly had so much fun. We’re coming back next month.

The checkin process: the manager was scolding an employee in front of customers. Her computer was blocking her face and you could not hear what she was saying. Had her repeat herself. She was saying: “I’m a manager here and you are not doing a good job!” Total disregard for people listening! We paid a cleaning fee. You have to book cleaning service ahead. We had to ask for clean towels every day. Sometimes they never brought stuff you asked for. Spanish speaking only staff. If you called the front desk, they said they were busy and asked me to come to the office. Just not sure why the fee ? No control over other customers smoking pot in the evening and smell was horrible! Check out was easy. Pool was dirty. Does not seem to have a filter on all the time. The next unit over had a sewage problem. Instead of containing it, they washed it over to go on the street. Terrible way of dealing with it. It stunk. Breakfast attendant was rude. Questioned and yelled at children every day. Some days she put the eggs out, some days not. You pay for what you get. Sadly, they don’t have to be so rude. Spanish speaking staff very friendly and kind.

I usually stay at a property up the street but I wanted to try something different. The blue wave is a part of Hollywood Beach Hotels, a string of properties owned by one management. The blue wave is one of the properties that needs a remodel. In the room was a very comfortable bed with clean linen. However, everything else was old and dirty. Walls haven’t been washed in a while. Basin sink gurgled and coughed up water constantly (I made management aware) and the outside area was pretty icky. The pool looks great until you get in and realize it hasn’t had some tic in a long time. The concrete needs a power wash. Check in was too swift, as in paper just keep getting tossed at me to sign…so fast I left my id at the desk. No please or thank you’s. Tuck shop in the office has a lot of stuff. I liked that. If I stay with HBH again I would try a property closer to the beach as I think those ones are taken care of a bit more meticulously. Thank you.

This property was a chain of old motels that look like they received a minor update about fifteen years ago. Our room had an odd odor and was very dirty. The shower walls had dirt that looked splashed on it and the floors were filthy along the walls. The bed sunk down on one side. Due to the lack of cleanliness, we chose not to attempt the "free breakfast". The place would be okay if it were a cheap vacation and nothing else was available. There was no value in this stay other than the proximity to the beach. Will not stay there again. Do NOT recommend.

The room was filthy, no hot water there was no water flow the air conditioning did not wirk properly the bathroom was in very bad condition and the bed was uncomfortable there was a huge hole in the middle of the matress and tge linen smelt like it cane out of a bleach bottle not too mention that the floor was full of sand

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and there was NO water pressure for the shower. I could barely wash my hair. The front desk sent the maintenance guy and he said he would be back and never came. I gave up. Broken coffee pot (had to get a new one), and the kitchen was flooded when we first got there. ZERO quality control here. They also have NO dressers for your clothes! What is that about? If you decide to stay here, bring a hotel lock/alarm setup. It is sketchy.

I loved the fact that you could open my door and there was the ocean. The beds were cozy and the pillows were great, the bathroom was a bit small but manageable, rooms smelled great and clean. Will stay again.

The bed was uncomfortable the fact that your being charged for parking and no cooking supplies o had to call the front seat for cooking supplies was odd I would probably be charged for.i feel as if this property is designed to generate income based on all the fees and charges

Not great but I would stay there again if need be. Only ten rooms which was nice because it made you familiar with the neighbors, except the one night when the people in the room next to us were carrying on outside on the patio late into the night, ignoring our polite requests to keep it down and we had to call the office twice to have security come in order to get to sleep. Beds were comfortable, tv had a lot of options and it was nice to have a pool literally seven steps outside the door. Shower wasn’t much more than a trickle and there was bird poop on the patio the whole week but generally they strived to keep it clean. I never worried about getting broken into and in fact we had to go to the office six times because our key card kept failing. Even we couldn’t get in the room, let alone an intruder.

Check in was rather lengthy but front desk receptionist did give us an upgraded room which was sweet. Our room was clean and newly renovated. Be sure to have your parking passes visible in your vehicle. They tow vehicles quickly around the area if your not paying for parking. Location is great.

Was worth the price(low rates). The doors aren’t properly installed so you can hear everything, especially your neighbours arguing at 2am (happened two nights in a row). Rooms are good for what you pay for them. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep and Want to be out of your room for most of the time, this is the place. Was worth the price(low rates). The doors aren’t properly installed so you can hear everything, especially your neighbours arguing at 2am (happened two nights in a row). Rooms are good for what you pay for them. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep and Want to be out of your room for most of the time, this is the place. We actually had a hard time getting to this place but finally figured it out as the email had one address and the gps showed a different one. Very weird. We only spent one night. The front desk is odd, not like a typical hotel. Very cramped but it has like a mini convenience store right next to the front desk which I thought was interesting “all in one” kind of thing. It could use some renovation but it was good enough for us. My best friend n I loved the board walk which is right there. We had a nice night!

The staff was not pleasant at all! The system shutdown and check in took over three hours. No one was apologetic about what was going on. We just had to stand in line. The entire process was insane. Due to the system being down, the only way to check in was to leave an ID or credit card.

I appreciated Wilson at checkin he made it easy for us but I feel like the check in at this place is out of control with huge lines and wait times for anything at this place. Painting the rooms and pressure washing would go a long way to make the place better. The location is close to the beach and that was the best quality.

The hotel services was horrible the line to wait was long the communication of the front desk agent was always different was not accurate of the times of when to check in different times you see them checking in other people, before 4:00 p.m. Guess if you paying more you get checked in faster parking was ridiculous they charge you so much money to sleep for two nights and still want you to pay for parking not right at all that's the worst hotel I've ever been never again

Acceptable place. You get what you pay for. The main complaint is the very long check-in time. Only one person for attending a whole set of 19 hotels ? the clerk did all she could but it take time. Second one is hidden fees. Supposedly with hotels.com you know already if there will be fees or not but NO. There was a variable daily resort fee of $17.50 we were not expecting, hotels.com is not reliable as source of information. Actually should sue for misleading information....

The checkin process: the manager was scolding an employee in front of customers. Her computer was blocking her face and you could not hear what she was saying. Had her repeat herself. She was saying: “I’m a manager here and you are not doing a good job!” Total disregard for people listening! We paid a cleaning fee. You have to book cleaning service ahead. We had to ask for clean towels every day. Sometimes they never brought stuff you asked for. Spanish speaking only staff. If you called the front desk, they said they were busy and asked me to come to the office. Just not sure why the fee ? No control over other customers smoking pot in the evening and smell was horrible! Check out was easy. Pool was dirty. Does not seem to have a filter on all the time. The next unit over had a sewage problem. Instead of containing it, they washed it over to go on the street. Terrible way of dealing with it. It stunk. Breakfast attendant was rude. Questioned and yelled at children every day. Some days she put the eggs out, some days not. You pay for what you get. Sadly, they don’t have to be so rude. Perfect location in front of the sea and close to the canal to use the water taxi. This is our second time so we knew what to expect, we were not looking for a luxury hotel just wanted a small place with a kitchen so we could eat quietly on the terrasse facing the sea . Love the terrasse with the long chairs facing the sea . We enjoyed our stay … juste the shower curtain could be cleaner

Check in was rather lengthy but front desk receptionist did give us an upgraded room which was sweet. Our room was clean and newly renovated. Be sure to have your parking passes visible in your vehicle. They tow vehicles quickly around the area if your not paying for parking. Location is great.

Recently planned a little staycation with a couple friends. We saw blue wave was available so we book 2 rooms, when we got to the property to check in it was actually through Hollywood beach hotels which owns a few properties. When I recieved my keys I noticed that they had assigned me to a different property which is not what I booked. When I noticed i immediately let the front desk agent know, he then told me that there were no more rooms available at blue wave which was confusing because why would they allow you to book it if there wouldn’t be enough rooms?? I explained I had other friends staying at blue wave so me being at another property defeats the purpose of even booking with them. He then went & looked to find that there was in fact rooms available at blue wave which was nice of him. Unfortunately the room I received was so hot and humid that I did not enjoy my stay whatsoever. I’ve booked with Hollywood beach hotels a few times & have ever had such a terrible experience.

I am concerned that the reviews on hotels.com are not fully legitimate because this establishment received a 9 rating and it was awful. One of the worst! The bathroom was infested with some sort of insect lavre. The staff was not pleasant and you pay $19+ for parking but parking is sparse. It is not a good place. When time permits I will be demand a refund.
