Arrived to find no parking spaces with rain lashing down. Sunday roast so very busy. Room was okay but in need of a refresh. Worst thing was a total lack of white bread at breakfast - unforgivable!

Great little find on the outskirts of Manchester. Very dog friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast included. Room we had (Deluxe Double) was as per the photos. Just a little shame the TV was not working, but they did apologise for the known fault and offered free drinks as recompense.

I had to stay at The Bridge to attend a local event recently, and found the experience to be top-notch. The staff are friendly, attentive and very helpful, and were only too happy to look after my bags for me for a while after I had checked out. I had both dinner and breakfast in the pub restaurant, and found the food to be of excellent quality and the service to be very friendly and welcoming. My room was in excellent condition and very clean with a lovely view of the nearby river and a comfortable bed with luxurious sheets. Free Wifi was also included. Parking at the rear of the hotel was plentiful and free for guests. Overall a lovely experience and I would recommend The Bridge for anyone looking to stay in the area for business or leisure.

Friendly local pub no frills but really comfy in the centre of Prestbury. Wanted a small bite to eat in the afternoon and not a full meal and they happily did two small fish and chips which was a really nice touch while we watched the afternoon singer !

The hotel was clean and I had a very good nights sleep. There was plenty of parking and evening meal was good. Wi Fi was not very good and 8 had no mobile signal throughout my stay.

Lovely hotel in a great location. All staff were really friendly and helpful and food was good (dinner and breakfast). Great period features in the room which was right above the pub/restaurant.

We loved the bar and restaurant area, the decor was nice and the whole area was clean. Food and drink was very good. Friendly staff. Slightly disappointed in the room, mostly clean but not in the best condition. Bed was on a slant so nearly rolled off in the night. Could do with either air con or access to a fan as room got very warm (did stay in the middle of a heat wave though)

Liz and her team run a very friendly, comfortable, hotel and bar. The food is the best in Prestbury and the Cocktails are superb. We slept incredibly well and left feeling very chilled. We stayed for a visit to Jodrell Bank but may well just come back to chill

Positives first the staff were lovely, but the place is very dated, my room was awful looks like there had been a water leak some time ago and the wall behind my bed was in very poor condition the windows were filthy and there were dead insects on the ledges. The bathroom needed a complete overhaul and at least repointing. The carpet was dirty and the mattress on the bed had broken springs. Telly with picture issues too so couldn’t watch it. Room was like going back to the 1970s - Won’t be staying here again.

The stay was good but had disappointing aspects like only one set of towels noise from above bedroom was excessive requiring better insulation, bathroom requires cleaning of tilling and back of TV was so dusty. The staff were excellent and made us very welcome

Very nice town and excellent hotel .. staff very helpful & friendly. Room was good, though old stains on the carpet (thought we had bought mud into the room). Comfortable room, good food served at the hotel for dinner

The staff were really nice, the food in the evening and at breakfast was good. It's such a shame that the room we had was awful. The whole of the separate hotel block feels like it's made of cardboard! The noise is awful - we got no sleep. We were in a room on the lower floor and the whole upstairs creaks when anyone moves a muscle. Worse still, every text message that anyone in the building received vibrated through our room. We could also hear the person next door snoring as the stud walls are paper thin. I think all of the water in the building passed through our room and there was constant hammering of the water starting and stopping which was frequently accompanied by extractor fan noise. The room was decorated in very dark colours and poorly lit . I guess the ceilings were painted in the same colour as the walls to hide the office like tiled ceiling. It was impossible for my wife to do her make up in the lighting. There were 5 hair pains on the floor so I guess the room hadn't been hoovered. The bathroom towel rail had leaked all over the floor by the time we got back to the room after our meal. The room looked quite shabby - things like painted window handles and missing basin sealant and the toilet wouldn't flush well. The room was also very very hot. Such a shame as it's a nice location and the staff were very pleasant.

I had a very good meal in the restaurant but the room was dark and depressing. This was partly the decor, with all the walls and ceiling painted a very dark blue/black, but there were also signs of damp, with peeling plaster. The picture is the view from the window, which is supposed to be a view of the river.

Generally it was good but the rooms were much too dark. I quite like dark decor but the lighting didn’t compensate for this when I needed it. The bathroom was the same and the lighting was so dysfunctional that I couldn’t use it to put my makeup on. You need some functionality in the bathroom but unfortunately there was none

Great building. Lovely area. Wifi not great TV signal not good did mention this and was told that it is a TV aerial issue. However good great staff brilliant really enjoyed my stay.

Our second syay at the Bridge. Very convenient and homely. Bedrooms are a little tired and some minor repairs need attending to,but the welcome and service of the staff make up fir it!

The property seemed lovely but I stayed in room 11. The bathroom needs updating, no light bulbs in the lamps and the curtains didn’t close properly with the rail held together with a cable tie. Would help to have a small fridge in the room too! The restaurant was closed (no pre warning and most eateries around the area closed on Monday!) there was a lovely but completely run off her feet member of staff who was doing room check in and managing the bar by herself. She was fantastic in getting everything done and gave amazing customer service but not a pleasant stay for me for the price I paid.

Hard to find any fault at all: our welcome was very genuine, the room was excellent, the meals were excellent or good, and the staff were unfailingly cheerful and efficient. We had two small issues, both dealt with extremely quickly and without fuss. We don't hold the hotel or the staff responsible for the weather during our stay!

Incredible service .... I arrive very late after midnight due to flight delay ... and people stay just for me ! In the morning an very nice breakfast ... with many choice.

Booked for my elderley parents as a birthday gift. My parents were lied to on arrival and given the wrong room for what I booked. I contacted the hotel 3 times and Still waiting for a reply 6 days later.

Booked for my elderley parents as a birthday gift. My parents were lied to on arrival and given the wrong room for what I booked. I contacted the hotel 3 times and Still waiting for a reply 6 days later.

Liz and her team run a very friendly, comfortable, hotel and bar. The food is the best in Prestbury and the Cocktails are superb. We slept incredibly well and left feeling very chilled. We stayed for a visit to Jodrell Bank but may well just come back to chill

The staff were so helpful. There was a slight problem with the electricity in our room and we were upgraded to a beautiful suite. Any problems were sorted out immediately, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great too. Will definitely be back.

Changed rooms due to noisy pipes, but they were very helpful about this. Couldn’t ever get through to anyone at reception. Went down to order good, sent the wrong food! Ate it anyway as was very hungry! It was good. Breakfast was good.

I had to stay at The Bridge to attend a local event recently, and found the experience to be top-notch. The staff are friendly, attentive and very helpful, and were only too happy to look after my bags for me for a while after I had checked out. I had both dinner and breakfast in the pub restaurant, and found the food to be of excellent quality and the service to be very friendly and welcoming. My room was in excellent condition and very clean with a lovely view of the nearby river and a comfortable bed with luxurious sheets. Free Wifi was also included. Parking at the rear of the hotel was plentiful and free for guests. Overall a lovely experience and I would recommend The Bridge for anyone looking to stay in the area for business or leisure.

Great building. Lovely area. Wifi not great TV signal not good did mention this and was told that it is a TV aerial issue. However good great staff brilliant really enjoyed my stay.

Stay was comfortable and room were clean. Service was good but beware of church next door, bell ringing until 9.30pm. If wanting an early night it’s probably not going to happen unfortunately.

Excellent food both in the evening and breakfast. I had one of the best cooked steaks I have had in a long time there. The breakfast is to order which shows in the quality. Proper bacon cooked very well. Poached eggs cooked perfectley. Yolks a deep orange lovely. Highly recommended.

The hotel was very disappointing. I had expected the accommodation and very certainly the dinner menu to have been far better than it was. My expectations were obviously far too high. We will not be staying there again.

Was halfway to Buxton when the original hotel I'd booked (not this one) cancelled my booking - but it turns out that was a blessing. The bridge was exactly what I needed, such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the food in the restaurant was absolutely divine. Cannot recommend this place enough

Abbiamo soggiornato per due notti: la camera era pulita al nostro arrivo, ma durante il soggiorno non è stato effettuato il servizio di pulizia giornaliera. Nel complesso, comunque, esperienza positiva.

Great staff , great bar & restaurant. However the rooms are very dated , I had the beginning of damp on the wall bathroom was very old carpets dirty , it needs bringing up to modern standards then it will be excellent

I gave it 4 stars because the house keeping had not refreshed the tea/coffee tray so in the morning when we needed a cup of tea there was only fruit teas no breakfast tea and only 1 milk so we could not have a drink before leaving in the morning! We did not have time for breakfast as had an appointment to attend early morning. We have stayed here before food is always lovely, staff very nice. Hotel rooms tired looking beds very comfortable and very clean we stayed in room eleven which has 2 steps down to the bathroom which isn’t good to use in the night the other rooms we have stayed in were absolutely fine.. we love staying here and will be back.
