Comme d'autres voyageurs l'ont déjà souligné, l'hôtel a engagé des travaux pour construire un nouveau complexe juste en bas de l'Alexander. Alors certes, il n'y a pas de nuisances sonores vu que les travaux sont arrêtés pour l'été, mais les nuisances visuelles sont bien là : un trou béant devant la terrasse et des grilles de chantier qui polluent la vue lorsque vous êtes à la piscine ! Après avoir rêvé tout l'hiver devant les photos, c'est un peu la douche froide lorsque vous arrivez à l'hôtel le jour J... J'avais lu l'information sur les travaux directement sur le site de l'hôtel (mais ne pensait pas que cela gâchait à ce point-là la vue), mais l'information n'est absolument pas donnée lorsqu'on réserve par Hotels.com ou Expedia ! Hormis cela, le petit-déjeuner est top et le personnel attentionné, mais on en attend pas moins d'un hôtel qui se dit 4 étoiles !

L'hôtel en arrivant était en rénovation. Le gros chantier de faisait juste devant l'hôtel, donc juste devant la piscine à débordement et la terrasse panoramique. L'objectif même du choix de cet hôtel, pour sa vue et pour son cadre, n'était plus là. Ce fut une surprise, une très mauvaise surprise. Quand on en as fait part, l'hôtel a répondu que l'information était disponible sur leur site. Sauf que c'est à vous d'informer et pas aux clients de chercher l'information. Nous avons réservé par hôtel.com, au moment de réservation cette information aurait du être communiqué par le biais du site sur lequel on achète ou au minima par message une fois que nous avons réservé . Nous aurons pu annuler et éviter cette déception. Hôtel vétuste de plus en est . Bref , vous considérez que cette communication est convenable, ce n'est pas le cas. Au moins l'information est à porter de voyageurs , bien qu'elle aurait du être faite par vous. Quelle manque de professionnalisme en plus de ne pas s'excuser quand on vous fait part ! Vous pouvez au minima imaginer que c'est décevant de réserver un hôtel présentant des belles images de la vue, piscine a débordement et à la place arriver et voir vue sur le chantier . Ça fait cher la vue chantier ! Et bien sûr je vais joindre la photo pour que cela soit factuelle

Where to start? The view across the lake was a wonderful. And the staff! They were amazing and so friendly and helpful. They took the time to provide little extras at breakfast or helping to suggest local activities. Next the breakfast was wonderful too. Fresh cheezes, bread, eggs, well seasoned bacon, fresh fruits and pastries made for a scrumptious meal. The pool though small, had an amazing feature that I wasn't expecting; hydro foot massage! After a long day hiking my feet were completely restored. Then I hung out in the spa for a while. The spa was time well spent. The surrounding town of Weggis was quiet and totally Swiss. And the staff (Victor) was happy to take us via a courtesy shuttle to and from the local boat station. He, like all the others bend over backwards to be helpful and kind. Oh...and in the evenings there was life piano music down in the restaurant. All around a great experience that I would do all over again next year. Stay here, you'll love it!

Location is good. Town is beautiful however the hotel does not deserve to be ranked as a 4 star hotel due to how dirty rooms were. We had three rooms. 2 rooms had spider webs and other insects . One room smelled like a rotten cheese that the staff was aware of and changed to another room. I cannot believe that the regional health department allows this hotel to operate this way !
