Lo que nos gustó fue la ubicación en el zócalo, muchos sitos turísticos cercanos y restaurantes, el personal atento y amable. No nos gustó que en el hotel estaban realizando trabajos de remodelación, por eso había mucho ruido durante horas de trabajo, el servicio de internet no llegaba a nuestra habitación.
Lo que nos gustó fue la ubicación en el zócalo, muchos sitos turísticos cercanos y restaurantes, el personal atento y amable. No nos gustó que en el hotel estaban realizando trabajos de remodelación, por eso había mucho ruido durante horas de trabajo, el servicio de internet no llegaba a nuestra habitación.

Hotel location is great , parking was ok but not in the property if you get back after hours you have to call for them to open the parking door first day I had no idea and or info ,so parked on the street. Over all I recommend the hotel thank you

Está muy bien ubicado, es limpio y su personal amable. Ya es una propiedad antigua y le falta remodelar sus instalaciones para ir de acuerdo con el precio de la habitación. El estacionamiento esta a una cuadra del hotel. Lo califico con 8

This property is in the middle of the zocalo so you are in the middle of everything, now for how expensive this hotel is , because believe is really expensive in mexican pesos is crazy expensive for what you get, the hotel beds are so hard like rocks, the rooms do not have a refrigerator and if you go in hot spring/summer days you will need ice bucket to put your water bottles to get cold at least ,the hotel is too old so do not have any amenities , no gym, no pool, hotels near by have more to give than this hotel for the same prices, also keep in mind that you will hear noise from the music of all around the zocalo square until 1am , so if you are a night person is perfect but if you want to go to sleep around 9pm Good luck with that, you will be listening to music until late night, so the only positive is that the staff all the ladies are the nicest ladies super nice staff but remember you only interact with staff if you need so . I wish this hotel does a better job making it a better or same standards as all the other hotels around it.

Direkt am Zocalo, zentraler geht es also nicht. Die Straße dorthin war gesperrt, wir haben an der Rezeption angerufen und der Bellboy kam innerhalb kürzester Zeit 1 Block zu uns gelaufen mit dem Kofferwagen, um uns und unseren vielen koffer an der Straße 1 Block weiter abzuholen. Toller Sevice. Das Hotel ist neu renoviert und wunderschön. Personal sehr freundlich und lösungsorientiert. An einem Abend war so laute Musik, dass er uns angeboten hat, in ein anderes Zimmer umzuziehen, welches auf die andere Seite zeigt.

Second time staying at this hotel. First time was great. Had a nice spacious room, clean and bright. Second time we got what seemed like the storage closet. It was dark and dingy. Bathroom was also dirty and window faced the hallway. Location is close to many restaurants and markets.

The hotel was clean & in a great location, right on zocalo, loads of restaurants, felt safe, mercado 20 noviembre is an easy walk. The taxi rank is an easy walk but be aware that as you are right on zocalo you need to carry, wheel your luggage to the hotel - maybe 2 minute walk from closest drop off, over cobblestones. Be sure to ask to be dropped off at the statues. The staff on checking out took our luggage to the pick up point for us. Wifi was good. The hotel itself is quiet but the noise from zocalo is quite loud at times, music every day from early (6am, although we would start to really hear it from 745) until 930pm, didn’t bother us as we enjoyed the atmosphere.

This was my second stay in the hotel and I chose to stay here again specifically because of its location on the Zocalo. It is in the heart of the action, liveliness, and culture that is Oaxaca. Most nights outside are a kind of party. That said, the hotel has done a great job of soundproofing to reduce the noise for its guests (there are also cheaper inside rooms whose windows open to the interior courtyard and are quieter). The rooms are simple and clean and a good value. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers very good breakfasts at a fair price. We spent half of our Oaxaca stay at this hotel and half at a much more expensive (luxury) hotel close to the Templo de Santo Domingo. We preferred Marques del Valle. My 11 year old son fell in love with Oaxaca largely because of his time at the hotel and in the Zocalo. This hotel is great!

Super loud because the hotel is in the city center and there's no soundproofing on the windows. Pillows are old and riddled with dust mites. Beds are not particularly comfortable. The cleaning crew knocked our things under the bed and didn't pick them up. But the location was great and the staff was nice.

Location is excellent, was worried about noise since it is right in the heart of the city, and others had mentioned it was noisy, but I experienced no problems. It is a little dated but nothing overly concerning.

Very, very, loud performance on the zocalo and I didn’t realize that we would be right above it. My room faced the singer/stage and light show. When we checked in, the front desk folks warned me about the performance but, when asked, did not change my room to a quieter, backside of the hotel. I’ll be back to Oaxaca but will never stay here again.

Me gustó la ubicación pero el aire acondicionado hacia un ruido muy molesto y no dejaba dormir y aunque lo reportamos no pasó nada, el agua de la regadera no se si es por ahorrar pero sale una brisa de agua fria que se trada uno horas en bañarse, jamás salió agua caliente.

This hotel is on a very good location. Yes, the Zócalo can be noisy, but with closed windows there was not a big problem. The only comment is about the Wi-Fi. That was very bad in the room. I often had to sit on the gallery for internet.

Hotel is centrally located. You may have events and music in the evenings, it may get a bit loud. Rooms were dated but clean. Bathroom was updated and quite nice. Wifi worked well. It not a Hilton or a Marriott but it was OK. Location is was sold me.

Older hotel with modern updates located right on Zocalo Plaza with music performances and restaurants. Staff was polite, professional and responsive. The breakfast restaurant on site is excellent. If you enjoy access to restaurants and plaza celebrations at your door step, this is a great place. If you prefer boutique, quiet and romantic, there are other options.

Had issues with reservations, they said we only paid for 2 people when I paid for 3, wanted to charge me extra.

Right in the heart of the city. Very walkable to many restaurants, market, tourist attractions. Super convenient. Rooms were nice although ours didn’t have an outlet in the room, only in the bathroom. The host at the front desk was not very friendly. Despite this, we would stay here again.

Las recepcionistas con falta de atención servicio falta de capacitación al igual que el personal. Se nota que tienen mucho tiempo y se sienten muy seguros en su puesto y suelen ser groseros. No me pareció su comentario de no dejar entrar a nadie y de cuidar el agua y los baños. Eso no se dice en un hotel las personas lo sabemos. El servicio de TV no funcionó nunca los baños se tapan y las camas rechinan y las toallas muy rasposas haaa y huele a comida todos los pasillos

This was my second stay in the hotel and I chose to stay here again specifically because of its location on the Zocalo. It is in the heart of the action, liveliness, and culture that is Oaxaca. Most nights outside are a kind of party. That said, the hotel has done a great job of soundproofing to reduce the noise for its guests (there are also cheaper inside rooms whose windows open to the interior courtyard and are quieter). The rooms are simple and clean and a good value. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers very good breakfasts at a fair price. This was our second stay at Hotel Marques del Valle and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The hotel staff is wonderful, friendly, efficient, pleasant. We prefer the west side (front) of the hotel with a view of both the cathedral and Zocalo Plaza. The Plaza is filled with music and sometime dancing Friday-Sunday so it is a noisy until 10-12pm but with windows closed, you can stil sleep. This time we had 3 people so got a corner Jr. Suite, however the 3rd bed not really ideal as in the entry area. We prefer the room facing west with one or two beds depending on needs, and 3rd floor or higher. The first floor is at the 2nd level so if you prefer to take the stairs, then the 1st or 2nd floor might be preferable. The restaurant on the 2nd floor is excellent for breakfast. Located in centro, the hotel is within a 10-12 minute walk of most attractions and cabs are available in front of the Cathedral if needed. Enjoy your stay in Oaxaca on Zocalo Plaza.

Located right at the Zocalo within walking distance of several shops and historical monuments and museums. My air conditioned room had a window facing the Zocalo, a bit noisy because of the street entertainment but I had no problem falling asleep. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely come back here again.

Older hotel with modern updates located right on Zocalo Plaza with music performances and restaurants. Staff was polite, professional and responsive. The breakfast restaurant on site is excellent. If you enjoy access to restaurants and plaza celebrations at your door step, this is a great place. If you prefer boutique, quiet and romantic, there are other options.

Marques Del Valle Our room wasn’t ready at the promised check in time of 2pm and in our 5 nights stay they never included enough towels for our family of four. Also the internet is basically nonfunctional unless you sit in the hallway. Other than that the rooms are basic but clean with a view of the Zocalo. The location is right on the Zocalo so for our stay for Semana Santa it was constant loud music day and night. The hotel restaurant was pleasant and reasonably priced and the staff very pleasant. Despite the small inconveniences it was a pleasant stay and very conveniently located.

Almost everything was great, the only problem was the room we got didn’t have air conditioning and it was hot, the location was great, you walk out of the building into the plaza where’s there’s music every night and you can walk in any direction and find great buys.
