1st time stopping in Holyhead and read a few reviews of different places. The Haven came up tops on all aspects. Had to book it. Well; what a pleasant place to stay. Comfy room, very clean indeed. Near to local amenities free parking. I could go on. Just a spot on place. Excellent stay.

A very pleasant, clean guest house. Surprisingly quiet despite being near docks. Can feel a bit industrial but take a short drive or walk towards the Marina & the views really open up & improve! Car parking available nearby if not infront of property.

Loved our stay here. The location is close enough that you can walk from the train but our hosts also provided a drop off at the ferry for us. Our room is lovely and clean. Everything we needed.

Great stay for a weekend in Holyhead - the place was absolutely spotless, super clean and all you needed in your room. Great tea tray, lovely bathroom, nice view over the harbour. Good choice of breakfast and plenty of it and the hosts were accommodating over timings. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

Within a couple of minutes walk, you can have a beautiful view of the water. There is a good selection of places to eat that are within walking distance as well. The room and bathroom were cute and clean.

This was a great place to drop in for a day in Holyhead. Very quiet, very clean, the staff was great to talk to during check-in and breakfast. There were several rooms in this bed and breakfast, but we didn't hear anyone else from any room. It was very nice. Highly recommend if you need a day in Holyhead.

Great little hotel. Very clean and well taken care of. Right by the ocean, and walkable to the ferry and train terminal and to pubs in downtown Galway. The owner/host, Phil, was very friendly and outgoing. I recommend this place!

Seen a cheep deal for this hotel for a Saturday night. We was planning a family trip to the beach for the day but decided to make a weekend out of it. Wasn't expecting much as I was just using it as a base. Bed was really comfortable and the owners were really friendly. Best sleep I have had in ages.

Lovely clean and friendly welcome. Nice size room. BUT very cold at night because heating was turned off from 10pm-6am. We went to bed at 10.30 and left at 7am so no time for warmth

We were on top floor, room 7. It was quiet and if there were other guests, we didn’t hear them. It would be a tough climb up the stairs for people with mobility issues. Host offered to take luggage up but we managed as we travel light. Nice pub next door; 2 good fish and chips nearby and the maritime museum that has an excellent bistro is within walking distance.

The Haven was clean with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with excellent water pressure. We had a lovely view of the harbor. The area was quiet and felt safe. The host was warm, helpful and welcoming and even helped us with storing our excess luggage. We enjoyed popping over the the pub next door for a nice dinner before having a restful night. Would absolutely recommend!

Hotel was OK. Very short timer on the lights in the bathroom with the switch to restart the timer on the outside of the room. Also, ridiculous placards around threatening fines for everything from flushing a cigarette butt to charging your phone overnight.

The Haven Guest House was the most comfortable hotel room I booked on my two week stay in the British Isles! It was extremely clean, well planned, and comfortable. My room was spacious and had an ocean view!

Phil was very friendly and helpful. The room was modern, very comfortable and very clean. View from our window was a small boats harbor and spectacular. Very good value for a convenient stay.

It was necessary for me to go downstairs to ask assistance with getting hot water for a shower. Even when the proprietor came up, the water ran and ran and ran before becoming just about tepid. Not a comfortable shower at all. My room was at the top of the house accessed by a very narrow stairway behind a fire door. There was a very frightening person digging through the trash outside, screaming obscenities.

Hubby and I stayed for just one night on a road trip. When we arrived Siam was there to give us a very warm welcome and show us to our room which was very good value for a standard room. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we needed to leave early but we did meet Phil and he and Sian make wonderful hosts - welcoming, warm, friendly and super helpful. During an incredibly frustrating issue with Expedia Sian spent a long time on the phone with them assisting me. Both Phil and Sian are genuine, honest hosts who clearly put their customers first. We totally recommend the Haven Guest House, it’s a stone’s throw from the ferry and easy walking distance to both the shops and Harbour. It’s good value and you’ll be in great hands

We had a great stay at The Haven and I would recommend it to anyone staying in Holyhead while visiting Wales or planning on catching the ferry. We overnighted in Holyhead in order to catch the ferry to Dublin the next morning. Unfortunately, in packing up, our daughter left her stuffed sloth at The Haven. She was really broken up about it and thought he was gone forever. She literally cried herself to sleep. You might imagine how sad a child could be about a stuffed sloth going missing, but you'd underestimate it by an order of magnitude. But I emailed the owners of The Haven and turns out they found him. They mailed him back to us here in the US and he arrived safe and sound this week after a journey back across the ocean courtesy of the Royal Mail. She was so happy to see him and be reunited. I would absolutely recommend this hotel not just for the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, or the proximity to both the train station and ferry terminal (a 5 minute taxi ride or 15 minute walk), but because they went out of their way to help a little girl get her sloth back and obviously care a great deal about their guests' comfort.

I had a great time at The Haven! Very convenient location for anyone traveling on the Holyhead ferry. They were also quick to respond when I had a concern about not making my check-in on time.

We spent one night here before catching the early ferry . Room was clean and bed comfy.Great location a few minutes drive to the port.Host was very welcoming and gave us good tips for our evening meal. We had a lovely walk along the promenade to The Boathouse Inn which has great food at reasonable prices and a quiz on a Wednesday which we won! Would definitely stay again when catching the ferry.

The host was warm, helpful and welcoming and even helped us with storing our excess luggage. We enjoyed popping over the the pub next door for a nice dinner before having a restful night. Would absolutely recommend!

The Haven was clean with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with excellent water pressure. We had a lovely view of the harbor. The area was quiet and felt safe. Great stay for a weekend in Holyhead - the place was absolutely spotless, super clean and all you needed in your room. Great tea tray, lovely bathroom, nice view over the harbour. Good choice of breakfast and plenty of it and the hosts were accommodating over timings. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

We spent one night here before catching the early ferry . Room was clean and bed comfy.Great location a few minutes drive to the port.Host was very welcoming and gave us good tips for our evening meal. We had a lovely walk along the promenade to The Boathouse Inn which has great food at reasonable prices and a quiz on a Wednesday which we won! Would definitely stay again when catching the ferry.

Upon arrival was greeted by the lovely Phil, very nice man. The room was very clean, there was towels/shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. Bed was very comfortable, me and my Husband slept well. We sayed 2 nights, and on both mornings we had a full english breakfast which was beautifull. Phil is very knowledgeable, anything you need to know just ask. We went in March and think in summer it would be just as nice a place. Thank you Julie & Mel.

This was a perfect introduction to my visit to the UK. Sian was so sweet and helpful. The room was comfy and quiet. Everything was clearly marked and I had no issues acclimating to a new place. Holyhead is quaint and this was a perfect place to settle for my visit. There is a nice dining room for breakfast and a comfy sunporch to watch the world. The room was bright and airy and included a tea pot with tea. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Sian even responded to emails with questions about getting to the property from the ferry, and where to store my luggage until check in. I would recommend this place for a quiet stay.

Phil, the host is very friendly and helpful. His B&B is very clean and convenient to the ferry. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not the best but we did not order the hot breakfast so maybe that is better. I would book here again if returning to Holy Head.

Great location for the Ferry. Room had everything we needed and very clean. Hosts were super friendly and on hand at all times. Pub a 30 second stroll away and very welcoming.

It was a very warm day and the room was very warm. My husband hardly slept due to our room being up high and just no air even though we did use the fan.
