Hotel Posada De Roger - Near Los Muertos Beach

Very difficult with no elevator. Room was very nice but not all rooms had a refrigerator or microwave. The a/c was very good and kept room cool.

This is one of the best staff for a hotel in Puerto Vallarta, and the pool and rooftop terrace are gorgeous

Exactly what I wanted. Great location and that old world feel of PVR. We loved our king suite and views. Just be ready for stairs no elevator. The staff were great and helpful. Close to everything. Easy walking. Even our snorkle trip pick us up two blocks away. I also recommend Fluffy's for breakfast. For the price well worth it.

This is a smaller basic hotel. Its clean, comfortable and centrally located with many restaurants, shops, bars and the Malecon in walking distance. It has a nice pool and deck area.

The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in PV. The pool and courtyard were perfect spaces to relax. The hotel was central and close to all the fun places in town. I will definitely stay here again!

This place is clean and quiet and has a nice pool as well as a rooftop patio for Sun. Basic but close to everything important… Restaurants bars shopping.

Posada de Roger is an excellent budget-friendly and well located traditional property. Just a few minutes flat walk to the beach and with multiple popular dining options outside the door, you couldn’t ask for a better base to enjoy a more authentic Mexican stay. The staff are constantly working to keep the rooms and public areas spotless and there is a convenient communal kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee maker etc Road front rooms can be a little noisy in the evenings but this is not too intrusive. I would happily stay again, or recommend to others looking for a more cultural experience than a resort stay would provide.

Beautifully maintained smaller hotel with nice touches, touches like beautifully maintained plants make it special. A unique property in the best areas of Puerto Vallarta. Not to mention all of the staff are amazing.

It's a budget hotel, so you won't find any luxuries. My two biggest complaints, the internet is inconsistent and doesn't work well and there is a really gross sewage smell that comes from the drains, especially in the shower.

The reason for the poor rating is the room itself. The bed is terrible. I tossed and turned all night and got out of bed with back pain daily. The room (305) was dingy and very outdated. The room was lit up at night due from the lights in the outdoor area. There was a large step from the room to the bathroom. The water pressure was very low. There were ants on the dresser. Wi-Fi was sketchy at best. Common area was super noisy during the day. There’s a reason why they offer free earplugs. Toilet didn’t flush well. Usually took 2-3 flushes to clear a “#1”. Location is great. AC and ceiling fan worked well. TV picked up American channels from LA, NY, Miami, and Chicago.

The staff cleaned all the time. Everything was kept tidy and clean.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were warm, professional, and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was spotless and well-maintained, and housekeeping did an excellent job throughout my stay. The pool area was relaxing and beautifully kept, and the location was perfect—close to everything but still quiet enough for a restful night. Overall, an excellent stay. I’d definitely return and highly recommend it!

The property is clean and well maintained. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Posada is close to the beach, the Romantic Zone Tile Park, and many places to get food of all kinds throughout the day.

This place is so cozy. The rooms were so clean. We enjoyed the pool every night after a long hot day it was great to have. The hotel was super clean with staff always maintaining the property, very grateful for that. We would definitely stay here again.

I feel this hotel is very OVER PRICED , for the age and cotton. Rooms smell very musty.

The bed was terrible. Old mattress and sheets, it didn’t seem clean. There was lipstick on the rim of a glass. I took out a second one and that was dirty too. And there were ants on the counter. I did like how the property was charming. The courtyard was cute.

Great location and couldn't get better. The staff is very friendly, the wi fi on the first floors rooms was worthless. The property condition of the bathroom wasn't anything beyond ok . The shower would at anytime just get real hot and i got used to that . But to be fair if you're on a budget its fine .

I dont think they had breakfast but its in a great location. The air works great which is important. If only thye had better pillows and the restroom needs some TLC. Overall I would stay there over and over.

It was a pretty nice hotel but I was certainly expecting more based on the reviews. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. Our main cripe was with the family room we booked. It was much too small for a family of 5. In addition, both doors leading to the patio did not close properly so it was all too easy to hear the noise from the busy street below. The WIFI was also substandard and consistently disconnected. Not that there's any room for one but there's no mini fridge in the room unless you pay extra. All in all, it's a charming, clean hotel with friendly staff but the room left much to be desired.

It was located downtown in romantic district. Easy access to the Malecon, and nice restaurants. It did not have A/C but only a ceiling fan, so it was hot inside the room at night.

Excellent location. Wall out the door of the hotel and you are literally steps away from excellent dining and shopping, and a 5 minute walk to the beah. The neighborhood is lively and LOUD. There is music and street noise almost 24/7. If you are a light sleeper I highly recommend ear plugs. This is not a luxury hotel, if that is your thing, look elsewhere. If you want to experience Zona Romantica, then you can’t do much better than Posada de Roger.

Simple but comfy...beds and pillows great, AC awesome and great staff and location

It's a very good location in the Zona Romantica but no elevator (we were on the third floor and my brother walks with a cane) and we never got our TV to work. Accommodations are very basic. No fridge or coffee maker.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, they always went out of their way to help you with every need

UNSAFE! Early Departure Due to Disturbance and Lack of Support by hotel staff. We will never return to this hotel. As we were sleeping last night, Supposedly "Night Staff" repeatedly pounded aggressively on my room door demanding we open up, not identifying themself by name, causing a significant disturbance and making me feel unsafe. We immediately contacted the front desk to report the issue, expecting swift assistance. Staff claimed an intoxicated individual told staff this was her room but we did not see any woman. Only a male walking away towards the street/hotel entrance. Unfortunately, no meaningful action was taken to address the situation or ensure our safety and comfort. We were disrespected and told that we had nothing to worry about by staff. We decided to leave to another hotel immediately. How could anyone go to sleep after that disturbing moment? Additionally as we were exiting, we could not leave the hotel for 5min because the front door was locked. Night staff was nowhere to be found. As we waited for the night staff to come downstairs and open the door another couple was waiting to leave as well. They said night staff was dealing with a “situation” where a partner drugged his partner, further causing us to feel more unsafe. Given the lack of response from your staff and the distressing nature of the events, we did not feel secure remaining at the hotel overnight. We have therefore decided to leave the premises and seek alternative accommodation.

The hotel is located in the heart of Zona Romantica and an easy walk to hundreds of amazing restaurants and beautiful beaches.

This location was super convenient for walking around the pier, to the Malecón, the Rio Cuale and mercados. We would stay here again.

The staff are all friendly and helpful. Everything is always clean. The location is excellent with the beach only a 4 minute walk. There are many restaurants. coffee shops, bars and bakeries within a minute walk.

In the heart of Zona Romantica. Walkable to a lot of tourist attractions and extremely safe. Yoj will find people walking at night 3-6 am.

Very authentic experience. Great little hotel right in the middle of the Romantic Zone.

2 mins Walking distance to the malecón 11 mins to the center of the malecón where you find the Puerto Vallarta letters and the church in the main plaza where you can find at night lots of great antojitos, aguas frescas, coffee, churros pozole, and guisados. At very affordable prices. The room was nothing to brag about but it was very clean. WiFi is very slow or didn’t work at all and you’re at the zona romántica so before you book find out what this zona is all about because it’s not for everyone. Staff was very friendly, I had a lady stop by every day to see if I wanted my room cleaned or if I wanted needed anything. I used the community kitchen 2 days and both times it was clean. The posada grounds are very nice and colorful I would of used the pool if I would of had more time. Overall I do recommend and the price is right!

The friendly and helpful staff made the stay memorable and the lush courtyard is like an oasis in the middle of the city. A remotely locked vault-like room provides security for your valuables with individual locked safety deposit boxes. The rooftop community kitchen is well stocked to allow you to prepare meals, if desired.

The hotel is in a GREAT location to bars and restaurants. I had a suite on the 4th floor which was nice in size and clean. The staff was helpful and the restaurant next door, Freddy's Tucan, had a nice breakfast.

The lobby was beautiful but the room airconditioning was malfunctioning and very uncomfortable. Our friends also stayed and had issues with their door not locking and air conditioning as well. The noise from the street was loud. And they upcharged for a number of things like having a fridge, etc. The best part was the great location and easy walkability.

Beautiful and quaint hotel in PV. Staff was friendly, room was immaculately clean, AC worked great, and the restaurant was amazing (cash only). My only issue was people off the street coming in- caught a man scoping our room as we were leaving but he ended up running off. Didn’t check out the pool area but it seemed busy in the afternoons. We will be back! Rosy was the best!
