Check in was seemless and our bags were carried up to our room. We ate in each night, 3 times, several special offers, good range of dishes, expertly cooked and presented. Cooked breakfast was excellent with several options. Happy hour in the bar between 5 and 7pm, buy 1 get 1 free. Overall a great stay.

Impromptu stay at the property, in a 2 bed apartment which was nicely kitted out and nice decor. Breakfast was very nice and not too heavy, had a choice of continental and cooked breakfast. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. There is a nice terrace area for drinks and lunch/dinner. Would recommend staying here.

Thus is a second visit. Staff are fantastic. We had lovely breakfasts with goodcquality bacon and sausage. There is a large carpark which is a huge asset as parking in Mumbles is always tricky. It is a charming hotel and I hope they never change it.

Great stay in a lovely location. Room a little dated but was clean and well presented. Breakfast was included and was tasty. Able to leave the car in hotel car park the next day which avoided hefty parking fees.

At check in, we were handed an envelope with information, no introduction from the man at reception as you would normally expect, information about breakfast/dinner times and locations. Not a friendly interaction or a good start. Low level of cleanliness throughout the building. Hair all over the bathroom floor. I cleaned it up and gathered almost a full handfull of someone elses hair from the floor and within the towels. At breakfast, the cutlery and bowls were dirty, the tea bags had been emptied into a bowl and looked stained like water had dripped on them some time ago. We visited the "bar", service was slow, there was no atmosphere in the the floor was dirty, there were dirty glasses left on the bar, one of our drinks came in a dirty glass. Poor attention to detail at breakfast e.g. not the correct number of cups, missing/dirty cutlery, additonal charge of £4 for some breakfast items which seemed unnecessary. The cooked breakfast was really small 1 egg, 1 sausage, 1 bacon, 1/2 a tomato, beans & mushrooms. The couple next to us were offered 2 eggs, we were not.

Lovely size room, some wear and tear obvious in bathroom, but still nice. Could hear quests in room above but did not keep us awake. Lovely colour theme, very helpful and friendly staff. Disappointing eggs benedict but cooked breakfast was nice. Would recommend and would return. Ideal walking distance into heart of mumbles.

We found this hotel accommodation a bit hit or miss. The room was spacious, but the bathroom needed a refresh as the shower doors were very flimsy and there was mould. The complimentary coffees, teas and water were only replenished occasionally, and we had to go to reception to get replacements along with requests to ask for the bedroom/bathroom bins to be emptied. The room servicing lacked consistency. The breakfasts were good, except that on Day 1 my wife was given a breakfast that she hadn’t ordered. Overall though the staff were helpful and the situation of the hotel is ideal for walking and exploring the Gower. Not sure whether I would revisit.

Spacious and clean room, lovely bathroom. Room service food not too expensive and very tasty. Even though there was a wedding going on, there was no noise from this such as music or giggling guests, around our room Good selection of channels on the large TV. Would stay here again

The property is very prestigious looking and overall decorated tastefully. There is a vast contrast in room sizes and unfortunately ours was one of the smallest. It was a garden room situated in the car park courtyard. The bed faces the french doors so it was like living in a goldfish bowl. When you sat on the bed everyone looked in as they walked by. Absolutely no privacy, the room was crying out for a voile curtain. The room was however clean. You can hear alot of noise too, especially from the room above. The comings and goings in the car park was another issue. The waiting staff were friendly and polite. The food was also reasonable.

Really friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The room was probably the smallest I have ever stayed in. The bathroom door had a spring behind it causing it to bounce back towards you every time you opened it, very irritating. The bathroom was also tiny but the shower was a good size and the flow and temperature were consistent. Overall a pleasant stay, but the rooms do need updating and a deep clean. The bed was very comfortable.

Nice hotel in a handy location but sadly let down by their beds. Room was compact but was adequate for our one night stay. Mattress was very uncomfortable and bed was a small double so we were very cramped in bed. Such a shame when there was ample room for a king bed without moving anything. We were in a room that is like a motel room with doors opening straight into the car park. It also appears to have a corridor at the back of the room to the main building so has 2 exits. The walls are paper thin and we could hear conversation from next door and noise from car park. The room has tiny cluttered bedside tables even though there is room for much bigger. Overpriced for what’s on offer

Extremely loud generator next to my room that went off all night at random intervals waking me up. Terrible nights sleep overall due to this, when I complained to the woman at the desk she said she was sorry but it was needed for another room…not sure this is entirely helpful when all I needed for the hotel was a good night sleep

First of all, the hotel is in a beautiful spot, about 15m walk away from Mumbles pier. The staff were really polite when we arrived and took us to our room. The room was nice, quite small (room 1) but was pretty nonetheless. Later on, we were both really looking forward to having a shower after a long day walking but the shower was absolutely shocking. The overhead shower head I was lucky enough to get a dribble out of it. Considering the eco attitude of the hotel, I had to shower for three times as long to get the shampoo out. The breakfast was okay, a little stingy. As much as they say it's a free breakfast, it's clearly factored in to the price of the hotel which isn't cheap! Cooked breakfast was nice but could have done more in the way of continental breakfast like pastries etc. Overall, staff were brilliant. So polite, friendly, always attentive so my review for them is 5/5. Just shower/water pressure and lacking breakfast let it down a bit.

When i booked a room in this hotel, it stated restaurant, and displayed the menu, this was required for my stay. Two days before arriving, i confirmed my booking, nothing mentioned about the restaurant. Unfortunately upon my arrival, i was informed the restaurant was closed for a function, but could use the restaurant if i went too the function. When i went too my room, laying on the bed was the tv remote control, and the restaurant menu!!!!! It is quite unfortunate that no notification was received regarding restaurant closed on the night of my stay. On the positive side -The exterior of the building looked quite impressive. The interior was very clean, my room was above standard what i was expecting. The breakfast food available was varied and very tasty.

This is a great hotel in a good location. The staff where very helpful even though they were extremely busy with preparing for a wedding. The breafast was very good offering a full welsh breakfast.

Marvelouse. On checkin they even carried our bags to the room and left us an unbarella as it was raining. Excellent, great location, will certainly go back.

Lovely size room, some wear and tear obvious in bathroom, but still nice. Could hear quests in room above but did not keep us awake. Lovely colour theme, very helpful and friendly staff. Disappointing eggs benedict but cooked breakfast was nice. Would recommend and would return. Ideal walking distance into heart of mumbles.

Nice hotel in a handy location but sadly let down by their beds. Room was compact but was adequate for our one night stay. Mattress was very uncomfortable and bed was a small double so we were very cramped in bed. Such a shame when there was ample room for a king bed without moving anything. Great stay in a lovely location. Room a little dated but was clean and well presented. Breakfast was included and was tasty. Able to leave the car in hotel car park the next day which avoided hefty parking fees.

Excellent staff, friendly and good service. The hotel had a great selection at breakfast and evening meal was lovely. Hotel so convenient for walking down to bars, shops snd restaurants.

Check in was seemless and our bags were carried up to our room. We ate in each night, 3 times, several special offers, good range of dishes, expertly cooked and presented. Cooked breakfast was excellent with several options. Happy hour in the bar between 5 and 7pm, buy 1 get 1 free. Overall a great stay.

Friendly helpful staff. Clean, yet a rather compact room. Fine for 1 night. Lovely towels. Lovely shower. No shelf to put anything Breakfast - Self service rather poor. Very limited availability - poor quality bread, preserves, and cheese. No rolls, croissants, pastries. However basic cooked breakfast good and ok portion size.

First of all, the hotel is in a beautiful spot, about 15m walk away from Mumbles pier. The staff were really polite when we arrived and took us to our room. The room was nice, quite small (room 1) but was pretty nonetheless. Later on, we were both really looking forward to having a shower after a long day walking but the shower was absolutely shocking. The overhead shower head I was lucky enough to get a dribble out of it. Considering the eco attitude of the hotel, I had to shower for three times as long to get the shampoo out. The breakfast was okay, a little stingy. As much as they say it's a free breakfast, it's clearly factored in to the price of the hotel which isn't cheap! Cooked breakfast was nice but could have done more in the way of continental breakfast like pastries etc. Overall, staff were brilliant. So polite, friendly, always attentive so my review for them is 5/5. Just shower/water pressure and lacking breakfast let it down a bit.

Lovely clean,comfortable hotel with excellent breakfast. Our only criticism was that the room was cold and there was no heat on in the bedroom or hallways.

Had a great visit to the mumbles and Norton house made it even more special. Room was clean and we loved the navy and white decorating. . The metal sea/boat picture was a great addition. The food offering on Monday night was good . Starter and mains were really good . Tuesday breakfast was good and it was great to have poached egg cooked to order . Thank you Norton house for a good time - we would definitely stay again

Only a single night. But the room had all I needed and was well presented. Only 2 things: the TV - no network connection for Netflix etc.. The hotel wi-fi was OK though. Second thing: soundproofing of room above. Could be better. Could hear floorboards creaking as people walked over. This was fine since the other guests weren't night owls. If, however, they'd come back in late from a meal out etc. this would have been disruptive. Other than that: for location you can't beat it. Maybe 100yds to the sea front & half mile walk along the promenade to the Mumbles. Parking onsite is a great plus. Excellent breakfast choices. Staff all extremely helpful.

Had a lovely night stay at Norton House. Staff were nice and friendly. Nice room with separate lounge area. Great location. Breakfast ok - would have helped if we had spotted menu to know needed to order eggs if not want scrambled,but just told to help ourselves to the buffet breakfast. We would recommend though and intend to stay at Norton House again. Only negative was when using the hot water it made such a noise but think we were near the boiler as heard it when room next to us used it as well.
