Fairway Hotel

This hotel was perfect for a mini break, I didn't plan to spend much time in the room itself and really just wanted a convenient place to sleep and shower while visiting the city. All the staff I spoke to were very friendly and ready to help. The hotel itself was very clean, I saw cleaners coming in everyday to replace towels, clean the bathroom, remake the bed, vacuum etc.Tea/instant coffee making facilities provided in the room. Even a table fan in the room which was a lifesaver since it was quite warm when I stayed. Only downsides I would say are: Some wear and tear, the bottom of the bathroom door was quite worn and missing a hook and there was a small wallpaper tear behind the headboard and some wiring visible under the sink. For me these we're not big issues, as they did not greatly impact my stay. The room I stayed in was facing the street so definitely some noise night - again not a massive issue, I had some expectations of noise as the hotel is across the road from Kings Cross. You can hear people moving around the hotel at night, so if you are a light sleeper things may bother you. Again, not an issue for me personally and my goal was just to sleep after long days of sightseeing. Stairs to the rooms are quite steep and narrow so not so the upstairs rooms would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Overall, I really liked this hotel, close to transport links and food places, I would stay here again :)

I loved that I could open my window. The room was quiet. Shower was only luke warm and a shower cap and face washer would have been handy. Helpful staff member carried my suitcase up and down the narrow stairs.

Room is quite small but worked well with us as we had to use to Eurostar very early on. Check in is exactly 2pm - we arrived 30 minutes before and was told it wasn’t ready which is totally understand. Quite a lot of food options. Stairs to the basement are quite awkward if you have lots of baggage but is manageable. Quite good for checkout if you have a random or early / late check out as the keys can just be dropped in the drop off box. You can leave your baggage even if you aren’t checked in and they are looked after well.

A basic, comfortable & clean hotel. Room was small & the decor somewhat faded, but this did not detract from the overall experience. Staff were friendly & helpful, tv reception was good (not always the case in hotels), & the shower was warm & easy to use. Tea making facilities were provided. There was no lift & the stairs were a bit cramped & there was no air conditioning. This did not bother us but is mentioned for reference. Good location close to Kings Cross, St Pancras & Euston. Some noise from the street overnight. It is a good base for central London for those on a budget.

Great location just across from Kings Cross / St Pancras. Nice compact room. Extra pillow and blanket in wardrobe. Distant rumble of tube trains audible on third floor but not really an issue. Only complaint was that on checking in I was just told, "You\'re on the third floor, sorry there\'s no lift. Just follow the signs." She should have told me there were two sets of stairs and that I needed to take the far ones. Got plenty of exercise walking up and down the steep steps of the wrong ones to the third floor. LOL. Would definitely book again.

Had one night then in train very close to station was clean no HVAC but windows ipen it was fine

The structure is located in a very convenient position to reach by tube, It is really very clean and the staff is very kind, they allowed us to leave our bags on the last day without paying extra. The value for money is excellent, the bathroom is a bit small but for London prices you are happy! There were four of us and we had no problems.

A very nice and welcoming hotel, only problem, there is no lift, and at our age, we found this a draw back. But saying that we would recommend this hotel.

Room was smaller than expected based on pictures. No elevator, we were moved to a lower floor by front desk due to our luggage. Bathroom very small.

Right across from train station. Here for one night to get train. Hotel is exactly as described on Expedia. Room small but modern and clean. A few properties off the main road so pretty quiet. Would stay again

Tiny room, bathroom unacceptable -toilet smelled, noisy guests. Absolutely overpriced compared to other London hotels. Positives were very friendly and helpful staff, good housekeeping and good location. Overall, would NOT stay there again. As frequent visitors we know there are far better choices in London.

The staff were great. Our very small room was on the bottom floor. Noise from the office upstairs, the Tube and outside made it nearly impossible to sleep. The bathroom is tiny & the shower was moldy.

A clean and convenient hotel for St Pancras. Great little Italian around the corner recommended to eat out. HOWEVER. The bad drain smells emanating from the bathroom were so overpowering it made our eyes water and you could not even shut the door to keep them out as it was broken.So it was not a nice experience. Give room 16 a wide berth...

There is mold at this property. It was so bad, we were unable to stay at this place for our booking. The staff were nice enough, but were unwilling to offer any type of refund when we did not even spend a night in this place. We booked through Expedia who did absolutely the bare minimum to help us in this situation even though we provided documented evidence of mold. Overall, we had an absolutely horrible experience at this hotel and somehow, an even worse experience with Expedia. I HIGHLY recommended you avoid this hotel at a minimum, and that you also avoid Expedia at all costs as they will do nothing to help you if it is in any way in violation of the hotel's cancellation policy, regardless of hazerdous living conditions. Again, whoever reads this, avoid.

Had a great 3 night stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean with good storage (drawers and hangers) and enough room for two of us to move around easily. Bathroom was quite small, but shower lovely. Tea and coffee well stocked. 2 minute walk from Kings Cross but in quiet road snd 5 minute walk to shops and bars of Bloomsbury. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will happily go back.

Firstly, thanks to the very friendly staff member who helped get my room ready earlier and helped carry my suitcase up 4 flights of stairs (no lift). This was unfortunately the only highlight of my 1 night stay. This is not really a hotel, more like a hostel/motel and it is super run down, with a strong sewage/drain smell in room the whole night. According to staff this smell is present in all the rooms and surrounding area and if they tried to get it fixed they would lose fheir license to operate, due to old age of building it is not easily fixable. So not great. I had to sleep with window right next to my head in cold winter just to try get some fresh air, and tried to seal the bathroom “door” with towels and clothes. Single room is super small, dirty walls and bed spread, broken toilet seat etc. Only stay here if you desperately need a small bed to sleep and do not have much money and you’re traveling early/late from st pancras, otherwise I would avoid. Hotel is very busy and obv doing quite well, but it must be due to location next to st pancras and relatively low rates.

The room served its purpose. Very clean and had all the essentials. It was just a bit noisy at night.

Room was small, but it did have some furniture (including small wardrobe, beside table, desk) and tea/coffee facilities, which is an improvement on the last hotel room I had in London (in a different hotel). The hotel was in quite a noisy area, which I hadn't expected. There was quite a lot of noise during the night, which I hadn't expected, I think some noise was due to construction works. The hotel could do with a bit of updating as the paint was chipped in communal areas (e.g. staircase).

The Fairway Hotel, located near King's Cross Station, offers a convenient and budget-friendly option for travelers. The room, while clean and warm, was incredibly small—more of a "shoebox" than a spacious retreat. The shower pressure was a major downside, barely providing enough water flow to be functional. However, for a one-night stay, the hotel serves its purpose well, offering a comfortable bed for a decent night’s sleep in a central location. It's ideal if you’re just looking for a place to rest, but don’t expect luxury or high-end amenities.

Handy for Kings Cross and St Pancas stations. Room extremely small and bathroom like a cupboard and uncomfortabley hot with no air conditioning .

Small single room as expected in London. Very clean, everything in working condition, would definitely stay here again despite the noise (due to having to have the window open as too hot).

Great location - the reception staff were so lovely and helpful. So immensely convenient to St Pancras, especially for an early morning train. The windows could do with more soundproofing to block out the sound from the street. Overall a great choice.

We had to carry our bags up 3 dangerous (small and broken) flights of stairs and once we made it to our room, we were unable to access the wifi from there. We brought this to the attention of the staff and there was nothing done about it. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

This was exactly what we needed for ease of convenience. The train station is exactly across the street, short walk from platform to the hotel. The staff was immensely accommodating and friendly.

The staff at the Fairway were top notch. They were friendly and helpful, even carrying our bags to our room for us. The rooms were smaller, but clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We only stayed for one night, arriving and leaving out of St. Pancras Station, which was less than a block away. The hotel was convenient to the Underground as well as lots of local restaurants and several museums.

Great property, clever use of area to maximise the living space. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, even swapping us to a ground floor room to help with my massive case! Perfect location for the Eurostar. Will stsy here again.

Room was clean and tidy. The reception guy, Matthew was very friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome.

Close to the train station but very small and feels like a hostel/cheap motel. No ac. The man who works the desk was extremely rude and unhelpful and yelled at me while I was checking into my room. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable staying here and would not recommend. There are no elevators and several flights of stairs with an unstable handrail and very narrow hallway/stairway.

The reason for the low marks is the attitude of the guy on the front desk when I collected my bag. He threatened to call the police. Thankfully I just made my train. All the other staff were too notch

It's close to the station for EuroStar. Walking distance in less than 10 minutes.

Great location. Easy access to trains, buses and other transportation options. A large variety of shops and restaurants.

It's very close to St. Pancras station, so it's convenient to go anywhere. Especially recommended if you're taking the Eurostar.

Very nice helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms, 35 min or less walking to most main attractions, close to bus stops, elevator, Walked to corner and could see The Eiffel Tower all lit up at night, not that far away, We chose not to do the breakfast because there are so many great cafés near.. we would definitely stay here again

It was very convenient for St. Pancras and the room was reasonably quiet and on the ground floor as requested although there were a few steps up and down - my wife is partially disabled, but room very small and basic shower room tiny. No restaurant but that is OK as Premier Inn just up the road.
