I loved this little hotel. It’s only 24 rooms. Very quiet. Very clean. The staff were very friendly. It had everything I needed. The only thing that was an issue was the climb up 4 flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase. Having a bad shoulder it was a struggle. The lift was out of service. That being said, I would definitely stay here again but I would just check to make sure the lift was working.

Air conditioning did not work properly so it was a very uncomfortable night’s sleep…. & the hotel cancelled the breakfast that was supposed to be included in our stay …. Would not come back again sadly

The only downside of this property was the elevator shy. It didn’t help that we were on the third floor which is the floor the elevator didn’t work.

54 Queens Gate Hotel is quaint, clean, and conveniently located in South Kensington. The historic building is beautifully furnished with interesting photographs on the walls. The breakfast is delicious and the attendants working there are just lovely people. One of the lifts was not working so this is not a good option if you need disability accommodations, but if you don’t mind walking the stairs it is a fantastic place to stay. I hope to be back again someday soon.

very nice place to stay if you like a nice quite place to stay . no real bar or restaurant but room was spacious with the loft bed area and large living room area.

We were very comfortable. The cleanliness of the bathroom on arrival was impressive. The rest of the accommodation was top. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The only reason we did not think it was very eco friendly is because it had no double or secondary glazing and this led to condensation on the windows. We were on the second floor and we used the lift but is was a struggle with luggage on arrival as we then had to negotiate stairs as well. Overall though we would recommend this hotel.

Gorgeous hotel! I wish we'd known breakfast wasn't available, the AC wasn't on, and the second lift to the higher floors was out before booking though, we may have booked elsewhere. The room and balcony were beautiful though, and relatively comfortable once we got up there.

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. I have left positive reviews in the past but this time I can't do so. I was so disappointed by the upkeep of the hotel. They are letting it get run down. The walls had marks on them, the furniture was chipped and damaged, the lights had pieces missing from them and there was a light hanging out of it's socket. The drain in the shower was blocked and the water overflowed. The answer was to have us bathe in a different room. What? The blanket on the bed was dirty... I have photos. It was freezing cold and the heating didn't work. They gave us a space heater that didn't work, so they gave use an industrial style heater that was loud and smelly. I have a photo of this too. Also... they still don't have an ice machine after all these years.

Lovely comfortable Town House stay for two nights. Room was well equipped and immaculately clean. Only issue is that they automatically charge a service charge on room rate which is the first time I have encountered this in London. It is discretionary but I stay most weeks, on business and feel the high costs of room rates should not have another charge on top. So beware

Had an amazing stay at 54 Queen's Gate Hotel - the cleanliness stood out from the moment you entered the building. All the staff I came into contact with, were polite and attentive. The room itself was amazing, felt and looked clean. The bed was so comfortable - would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay here and hopefully I'll return again myself. Thanks all at 54 Queen's Gate for an amazing and memorable stay

Used to be a very good hotel with great service, now not the case. Staff upon check in were rude. Room had nothing but 2 towels. Overall hotel appears to be becoming run down from what it once was. floors dirty and walls all marked and dirty. very disappointed!!!

Modern decor throughout and the room was generally well maintained, if a little cramped (was a small double, cannot comment on the size of the other rooms). Breakfast was ok, a reasonable selection, and enough to keep us going for the rest of the morning. we did notice the floor in both the bedroom and bathroom needed a better vacuum, and we mentioned this on checkout, so hopefully they can improve on this small matter, but overall a good stay.

We had a fantastic stay at 54 Queen’s Gate. The hotel is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The staff were so warm and welcoming — we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was elegant and spotless, with a crib already set up for our young son, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was great for our whole family, and the location is perfect — close to the gardens, museums, and great dining options. We would definitely stay here again!

There was a hiccup during my first day. I found a long strand of hair on the pillow. I already complained about that here so I will not write about it all over again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

We showed up well before check-in time just to drop off our luggage, but they were able to put us in our room at that time, which was awesome. Only real complaint was that the bathroom smelled like it had been freshly used, but it was fine after letting it air out for a bit, there was an open bottle of drinking water in the bathroom, and we had no actual drinking water in the room. But the hotel smelled good, was in very good condition amd had a prime, posh location.

Hotel looks stylish and is very clean. We booked our room last minute, at a discount. Our room, was very small (basement room 3) and situated below the breakfast room. There were loud noises (chairs scraping) coming from above from 6am onwards, which is not good on a weekend morning. When mentioned to reception it was suggested we book a different (higher priced) room next time.

What’s called a boutique hotel. The room was well appointed but a king sized bed made a small room even smaller. Breakfast was disappointing- we had to beg for extra bacon and the choice was extremely limited. It is convenient for the Albert Hall and the museums but I don’t think we’ll stay there again

Hotel located in a historic building in South Kensington, a beautiful area a stone's throw from the Royal Albert Hall and the Natural History Museum, well served by public transport and very convenient for reaching both the airport and the city centre. It offers spacious rooms with large, very comfortable bathrooms. Great attention to detail and very friendly staff. However, the soundproofing is not great.

The hotel is a modernised townhouse. It is well decorated. I was disappointed with the size of the room and the fact that it was in the basement. There was just about enough room either side of the bed to get in it, very small for a so called double room. There was a window which did let in some natural light, but very little. The house next door is currently being renovated so a fair amount of noise heard.

Check in was good room was lovely nice bathroom location good unfortunately we got in the 4 person lift on 2nd day and it broke down went completely black very frightening because it was small and hot luckily we weren't stuck in there too long any longer and manic would have set in and i never got back in it again. Air con was hit and miss sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. Service at breakfast was disappointing waiter needed to be more proactive no teaspoons on saucers asked 1st day and had to ask 2nd day for them as well needed jug of milk on table for drinks as had to keep getting up to use large jug on the side which was put out for cereals. Only cooked breakfast was bacon and egg and it was just that no beans no mushrooms and the bacon was like shoe leather asked 2nd day for it to be less well done unfortunately just the same. Overall very disappointing.

54Queen’s Gate was incredible! The staff was very attentive and took care of every single thing we needed. The hotel itself was clean, safe, close to a tube station, and the AC was great in the London heatwave!! I’ll stay here every time!

I contacted the hotel prior to our stay to explain the trip was for my wife’s 50th Birthday, they acknowledged this and said they would make it “Unforgettable” however upon arrival we was taken to the wrong room, they apologised which was fine as mistakes happen so then we was taken to the correct room but the key didn’t work again. Nothing was put or laid out in the room like we have stayed at hotels before when it’s been a celebration. They never acknowledged it was her birthday at any point during our stay. Not only that but the Coffee machine in the room wasn’t working which I didn’t find out until the morning of our departure so told them when we checked out. Overall it was an average stay with all the staff being pleasant and the place being tidy however I’m sorely disappointed they made no effort in making it “unforgettable”
I contacted the hotel prior to our stay to explain the trip was for my wife’s 50th Birthday, they acknowledged this and said they would make it “Unforgettable” however upon arrival we was taken to the wrong room, they apologised which was fine as mistakes happen so then we was taken to the correct room but the key didn’t work again. Nothing was put or laid out in the room like we have stayed at hotels before when it’s been a celebration. They never acknowledged it was her birthday at any point during our stay. Not only that but the Coffee machine in the room wasn’t working which I didn’t find out until the morning of our departure so told them when we checked out. Overall it was an average stay with all the staff being pleasant and the place being tidy however I’m sorely disappointed they made no effort in making it “unforgettable”

Warmly welcomed to the hotel by friendly staff. Really appreciated my free upgrade and early check-in. The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable (even with my bad back). Will definitely stay again.

Clean and nicely presented but staff weren’t warm or understanding of simple requests. We asked for an extra pillow to be brought to our room which never arrived. We asked for decaf tea at breakfast to be brought caffeinated tea. Real shame.

Great room. My only complaint: I asked desk to schedule early taxi to Paddington on checking out. It was dark, I didn’t realize he’d called a limo service; anyway too late to cancel, get taxi. Cost 25 pounds, way more than a taxi! I was not happy.

54 Queens is a great hotel to stay at when in London. It is in a safe location and is right next to the tube. Additionally, the staff is very welcoming and they serve great breakfast, if purchased. I will be staying here next time I go to London.

54Queen’s Gate was incredible! The staff was very attentive and took care of every single thing we needed. The hotel itself was clean, safe, close to a tube station, and the AC was great in the London heatwave!! I’ll stay here every time!

Walkable to the Palace and all areas around it. A short subway ride to Paddington for Heathrow or Tower Hill for East End. Lovely, quiet spot. A great respite after a long day of sightseeing. Close to lots of cosy pubs for dinner.

A perfect hotel in a perfect location! Friendly staff, informative and knowledgeable, we found this hotel to be absolutely amazing. Our view was astounding with Museums and tourist sites within walking distance. The subway was an easy 9 minute walk and we went throughout London with speed and ease.

Hotel located in a historic building in South Kensington, a beautiful area a stone's throw from the Royal Albert Hall and the Natural History Museum, well served by public transport and very convenient for reaching both the airport and the city centre. It offers spacious rooms with large, very comfortable bathrooms. Great attention to detail and very friendly staff. However, the soundproofing is not great.

This hotel is nice and quaint with modern amenities, but a throwback to traditional hotels. Each room is named and themed after a famous British states person or artist. The location across the road from the Natural History Museum is brilliant! You also have the charm of Kensington and Knightsbridge within easy walking distance.

What’s called a boutique hotel. The room was well appointed but a king sized bed made a small room even smaller. Breakfast was disappointing- we had to beg for extra bacon and the choice was extremely limited. It is convenient for the Albert Hall and the museums but I don’t think we’ll stay there again

I had a lovely stay at 54 Queens Gate. I stayed for one week. The location was convenient. The amenities met my needs. The staff were kind and welcoming. Everything was in good working order. The shower was remarkably good. My only suggestion would be to not charge your guests for the buffet. There really weren't enough options there to make it worth paying.

Lovely room, great bathroom and shower with very nice toiletries. Tasty breakfast. The only suggestion I would make is better lighting somewhere within the room to enable people to put on make up/mascara. I had problems as the lighting was so dim and my eyes are old! I would stay at 54 Queens Gate anytime, loved our stay.

The hotel is opposite the Natural History Museum and under 10 mins walk from the Royal Albert Hall. We were warmly welcomed at the door, and our room was ready. The hall and stairs were beautifully decorated. The room was clean and nicely decorated with a lovely shower room. The shower was good, and nice toiletries. Super hotel in best London area. Kensington/Chelsea is where the embassies are. Close to Hyde Park and tube station. Room very quiet. We booked upgraded deluxe room and it was perfect. Very large and spacious. This hotel is unpretentious and maybe lacks some of the bling of others but it’s more quiet and roomy. More like having your own private flat. We would be happy to stay again!
