Great little very reasonably priced hotel. A bit dated but clean and lots of room. Nadine was fab and so friendly at check in and at the bar. Didn’t expect the church bells so often during the night, but not the hotels fault. Breakfast was nice. Free parking too so can’t ask for more given the price.

Staff were great; food was good; beer was ok; atmosphere in bar good as Open Mic night - but the room was worse than tired, no hot water, no lamps by bed, no Wi-Fi code(bar Pwd never worked in room) I would avoid this place - sorry

Tiny, uncomfortable bed, bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, toilet was full of toilet paper and waste- absolutely disgusting, no shower gel, kareoke right under the room. Staff never seemed to be around, not even the offer of a free drink after the disgusting bathroom!

There was an event going on and i was including but later drying the vent my mum called and she's was not well and the staff was brillant and let me go ealier and the staf keept comming two me and asking me if i was okay been there before thats why i go cuse the are bloodly friendly

OK, so it's an older place. I was just after a decent kip for a couple of nights. I changed my allocated room on arrival - from one with a bath - to one with a shower...and although the shower worked fine, it wasn't the cleanest and the doors were hanging off (rollers missing) and I found difficult to close properly. ... The bedroom light fitting was damaged (ceiling rose) so I couldn't turn the light on !...but I told them about it and they fixed it the next day. ... BREKKY : I was working at Perkins and usually on site between 6~6:30 in the mornings - so leaving the digs too early for the breakfast that I'd paid for - so I was kindly offered a "takeaway" bacon butty for 06:15 - which was a nice gesture... However, when I got to work and unpacked the foil - this is what I got (see photo !!) ... Needless to say it's doubtful I'll stop again !!!

On arrival the member of staff on duty was friendly and chatty. Booked us in, told us what room to go to. Upon entering this room it had not been serviced after previous guest had vacated. We were transferred to another room. There was a strange smell as you walked into this room and it had cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom needed a deep clean. Only good thing we found about this stay was a very good breakfast with friendly staff. Will not stay here again.

Staff were friendly & courteous, amenities were good. The only issue was the room was looking very tired & needed updated/decorated & repairs made as soon as possible as there were big stains on the carpets in the corridor, a hole in the window frame where you you could see through to the outside. There were also water stains on the ceiling and the wallpaper on the ceiling was also coming away. The beg & bedding & the bathroom were very clean. Even with the above issues we would still stay at the Falcon again as we have not been put off.

I come up to Peterborough once a year, first time staying here. Service was great, room was very clean and organised. Breakfast was spot on, always enough and very friendly staff. Staying for 3 nights was resonablly priced aswell. The only thing the other half mentioned was the church bell's that rang all night/day but other than that I would stay here again.

The hotel was in need of modernization and repairs ie:—doors literally hanging off bathroom door wouldn’t close two holes the size of a tennis ball above bed missing banister on main stairs filthy corridor carpet.the whole place looks to be have been maintained by the worst diy person. Also a smell of stale/burnt cooking oil The outside seating area was littered with cigarette butts and over growing weeds The staff were very helpful and friendly with nothing being to much trouble even though they looked understaffed.

Found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was especially good. The bedroom would benefit from some tlc although as Falcon has new owners we appreciate they must have a lot on right now, especially at this time of year.

the Falcon is a very old building and shows it with steep stairs, funny passages and odd steps. I stayed in Room 2 , a double with spare single bed. overlooking the front street. Luckily it was a warm night as none of the window furniture shut the windows as all-it would have been freezing in winter. The double bed could use a new mattress. The shower is fine drzzle despite a pump fitted. i ate a dinner which was adequate in size but a bit too much "microwave and pub grub" - plus real ale which was ok

The property is central for the town so it was good in that respect this was our second stay there the last visit being 8 years ago but unfortunately the experience wasn’t great this time around the room we had was to small for a double and single beds and it was very tired paper coming of the ceiling furniture was old which is fine but needs work the beds certainly need replacing, the bathroom was large but needs updating could not shower as I felt the sealer around the bath would cause a leak and it looked bad it’s a shame because the staff are good and the breakfast was quite good would I stay here again the answer would have to be no.

We were given a warm welcome and found the hosts friendly and chatty. We loved the character of the Falcon. It's old and rambling, with a quirky layout upstairs. Some parts are a little tired but you would expect that with an older property, and much of it has been freshly decorated. Our room was clean and comfortable. The neighbourhood is interesting and pleasant to walk around on the Heritage Trail.

I come up to Peterborough once a year, first time staying here. Service was great, room was very clean and organised. Breakfast was spot on, always enough and very friendly staff. Staying for 3 nights was resonablly priced aswell. The only thing the other half mentioned was the church bell's that rang all night/day but other than that I would stay here again.

For the money it was rubbish. Light over mirror didnt work. No shampoo. ( take your own). noisy all night through church bells going practically every hour.pub audiance noise terrible .plus the room was on terrible location of building. Couldnt sleep a wink.was here from yorkshire on medical appointment, I would rate it 4th class. No breakfast menu I felt. we wont welcome. And were glad to say good bye when we hamded keys back at 8 00 .wouldnt be my choice of night stay again. (also miscarried) for me massive loss and most uncomfortable night ever experienced.

On arrival the member of staff on duty was friendly and chatty. Booked us in, told us what room to go to. Upon entering this room it had not been serviced after previous guest had vacated. We were transferred to another room. There was a strange smell as you walked into this room and it had cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom needed a deep clean. Only good thing we found about this stay was a very good breakfast with friendly staff. Will not stay here again.

Hotels.com should delist this establishment Everything about this place is a rundown pub with totally uncared for rooms A serious lack of investment means the rooms are no where near good enough to be advertised as hotel The evening food was very poor I choose a simple burger and chips, this was also very disappointing with stale toasted bun and awful chips This is more like a hostel Breakfast was very poor standard the room was already set out to hold a meeting and there was no effort to cater for guests

Great little very reasonably priced hotel. A bit dated but clean and lots of room. Nadine was fab and so friendly at check in and at the bar. Staff were great; food was good; beer was ok; atmosphere in bar good as Open Mic night - but the room was worse than tired, no hot water, no lamps by bed, no Wi-Fi code(bar Pwd never worked in room) I would avoid this place - sorry

Found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was especially good. The bedroom would benefit from some tlc although as Falcon has new owners we appreciate they must have a lot on right now, especially at this time of year.

The hotel team was very helpful and the bar area is very nice and updated but the building and the bedroom i was staying in was very bad and smelled of damp with the bathroom shower unsafe to use.

Parking fine. Very old hotel so be aware the stairs are a bit steep and it is very quaint. Room I had was very spacious. It was tidy and clean but reflects its age which for me was fine. Breakfast was plentiful. Very near centre of Whittlesey so handy for shops. Staff lovely and helpful. It has ghosts if you like the paranormal.
