The room was a good value. Air conditioner and cable worked great and it was a clean space. The plumbing is super old, which means the tub and sink back up when you shower or wash. (This is gross if youre a germaphobe). Also, hiking up stairs, since there is no elevator, is not ideal for everyone, particularly with heavy luggage!

While some attention to detail on cleaning in our room could have been better, the facility is up to date, and well appointed. The pool/hot tub area is clean and fresh. It's easy to access and close to a really good (walking distance) Japanese restaurant.

If steps are an issue make sure you are on the first floor since there is no elevator to the second floor. The room was clean and comfortable but the shower and bathroom floor as well as hall carpets were in disrepair. Breakfast was good.

Rooms clean, beds comfortable breakfast okay. Lack of elevator was NOT a good thing for 89 year olds! Yes, we knew it when ŵe booked but weren't prepared for our room being halfway down the hall, also. And only ice machine at the far end of the building on first floor.

The staff was friendly and overall the stay was good. The sheets and mattress cover were stained with blood & other things I don’t want to think about. These things should be thrown away when you notice that. The breakfast wasn’t great. But the overall experience was fine for the price and I would stay again. Please get new bedding though…

Everything was fine over all, quiet, staff was attentive if asked something, the hotel could use a deep clean and something, but the hotel could use some attention to details. Saw ants on the coffee bar, dust behind tv, a few spots of mold on shower head and in caulking, hard water stains on faucets, just noticed one thing and it made everything else more noticeable.

We were not super impressed by this property. Needs an upgrade. No USB to charge phones; went to breakfast at 9am and most of the food offered was gone (open until 10am) with not a great variety. Staff was friendly and parking was easy.

The room was spacious (two queen beds) and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything worked as it was supposed to. The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We were on the second floor and hardly heard anyone else during our four nights there. We even thought the artwork was pretty good, compared to most not-fancy hotels.

we booked the room because the site said the hotel was pet friendly. when we got there, they told us only certain rooms were pet friendly. When we booked it through Expedia, Expedia did not give us a choice to select pet friendly, so we assumed the hotel was pet friendly for the whole hotel, not just specific rooms. They would not refund us and would not let us stay there. We booked a different hotel in the area that said pet friendly, and we confirmed the whole hotel is pet friendly, not just specific rooms. They said if a hotel says pet friendly, the whole hotel is pet friendly. Apparently not AmericInn by Wyndham Northfield. Expedia is at fault too for not including an option for pet friendly room at this hotel. Expedia tried to get me a refund, but the clerk would not hear of it.

After a 5 hour journey, I was not prepared for a check in process that took nearly an hour. The hotel and room were very cold (about 60 degrees) and, although we had booked and paid through Expedia, the check in person charged us for a night. It was refunded, but I do hope the hotel management invests in training for staff so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else. It was close to midnight by the time I got to bed.

When I got there I asked about a late check out and was told to call in the morning. Then gave us our room cards but did not tell us where the room was. Called the next morning to see about the late check out and was told I had to call.back in 10 minutes to find out. I also shared that the phone in the room did not work and was just told okay. I finally went down there to ask about late check out and was told it would be okay. Breakfast was pretty simple.

Great hotel from the outside. A little tired inside and hard to get to you. Staff very friendly and great Japanese restaurant within walking distance.

Great hotel from the outside. A little tired inside and hard to get to you. Staff very friendly and great Japanese restaurant within walking distance.

The room was spacious (two queen beds) and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything worked as it was supposed to. The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We were on the second floor and hardly heard anyone else during our four nights there. We even thought the artwork was pretty good, compared to most not-fancy hotels.

Nice basic hotel with limited services. Good breakfast. Ask for directions to the Canon river trail. It's accessed through a neighboring parking lot.

Was unable to cancel and get refund, so changed plans and stayed anyways. Breakfast bad, waffle maker was not working, eggs were empty, sausage over cooked. English muffin was hard. Had dried cereal, no skim milk.

We were not super impressed by this property. Needs an upgrade. No USB to charge phones; went to breakfast at 9am and most of the food offered was gone (open until 10am) with not a great variety. Staff was friendly and parking was easy.

The staff were amazing; however, the mattress was hard as a rock, pillows were flat, and the breakfast left something to be desired. Pool was nice but hot tub was dirty. Needs a total facelift.

Loved the lobby area and the staff were very kind and friendly. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices. The pool and hot tub were also a welcome addition! I will definitely be staying here again.

We chose to stay here as hotel had above average rating. The room was nice and the bed comfortable, but we chose to eat after 9am as breakfast is until 10am. That was a bad decision as hot food was gone and no one refilled it. This was disappointing.

When I got there I asked about a late check out and was told to call in the morning. Then gave us our room cards but did not tell us where the room was. Called the next morning to see about the late check out and was told I had to call.back in 10 minutes to find out. I also shared that the phone in the room did not work and was just told okay. I finally went down there to ask about late check out and was told it would be okay. Breakfast was pretty simple.

We experienced terrible humidity in the room, and especially in the bathroom. The shower had black mold along the bottom base boards, and on the lower half of one wall. The bathroom didn't have a fan or a window and never felt dry. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly, but we won't return because of the bathroom and the humidity. The included breakfast was good for the price, and there was plenty of parking.

The room was very clean and organized. The lady at the front desk was very nice and so helpful! Pool was very spacious. This hotel was great! The hospitality was great! There was one curb in the parking lot that was (in my opinion) a little to far out. But other than that, this hotel was very nice. Can't wait to come back!

Room is dirty including a nasty used Kleenex on the floor. The room STUNK of vinegar and was dark and unkept. Rusty, stained toilets and the most uncomfortable bed of all time. Kids running up and down the halls and zero help lugging bags up to the second floor. The “free breakfast” was half cooked ham and runny scrambled eggs. Sure they had cereals but the milk was sour and the yogurt had expired too. We booked 2 nights and left after one. We woke up with such splitting headaches from the stench of the room, we couldn’t do another night.
