I give 5 stars but its not without small flaws. Walls on our unit were paper thin so we heard upstairs whenever they walked around. The pool and pool bars are awesome. The beach is right there. The restaurant is excellent. The boat to the island goes every hour or so so it can be hard sometimes to plan for. With so much to do on the mainland you need to enjoy staying at the hotel more for this to work. Loved it but might stay on msinkand next time. Great experience

Rebak Island is a haven in the sun. Really quiet location. The ferry across to the island is fast and fun – but too infrequent and its not great to wait especially at check-in time. But don’t let that put you off; its inconvenience is a minor issue when compared with the tranquillity and relaxation of the island once you get there. Check-in on the island was swift, professional and warm. All of the staff were amazingly friendly. We arrived late so quick shower then to the bar for happy hour. The bar is small but very well served with a wide range of drinks. And during happy hour the prices are very reasonable. The live music was fun. Breakfast has a good selection including beef bacon (amazing) – who knew? The pool is wonderful. And its open until 11pm. Beautifully warm for a long relax with service bells at the sun loungers until about 5pm – if you really can’t walk the 30 feet to the beach bar or swim across the pool to its own bar. There is a small shop on the island which was convenient and reasonable. The room was good with excellent air conditioning and a small fridge for your own drinks or the supplied water. Only issue was half the island had a power issue on our last night so needed to move for the last night. This was handled well and very professionally by the team. We benefited from a better room (203) for this last night which was really lovely. We would stay here again - thank you. You made our holiday memories come alive.

We had stayed at Rebak Island Resort about 10 years ago when it was managed by Taj, and returned for a 5-day stay this time. The natural setting is still beautiful and the private beach remains a highlight, but the property feels dated and service is not at the same level of consistency or polish that we experienced during the Taj era. Positives: • The private beach is stunning, with especially beautiful views from the sea view rooms. • Convenient ferry transfers to Cenang Beach gave us easy access to a wide variety of restaurants and bars. • Breakfast was decent, with a fair selection (though weaker on Indian options compared to the Taj days). • Kayaking was easy to book directly through the hotel and turned out to be an enjoyable activity. Negatives: • The property feels dated, with worn fixtures, limited plug points (only one US-friendly), and a poorly maintained bathroom. The water heater also ran excessively hot, to the point of being a potential hazard. • Service was inconsistent. I would recommend going for the à la carte menu instead. Now, the reasons I wouldn’t book this hotel again: At the pool and on the beach, there are flies and bugs everywhere—you can’t lie down and relax without being disturbed. There was mold throughout the bathroom, the sealant was black, the bathroom cabinets were falling apart, and the air conditioners were so noisy that it was hard to sleep. I would have given the resort a score of four except for the ferry schedule. I was aware of the issue before booking but the reality was worse than expected. When we arrived (by air), we weren't quite able to make the 2.30pm ferry and there's a massive gap of 2.5 hours to the next ferry. Every ferry we went on was packed and, for half of them, they had to use a second boat. It would make far more sense and better customer service to change to an hourly schedule, which would only require, at the most, five extra return trips The facilities were excellent except for the bed base, which stuck out from the mattress and even had posts on which I split my toe open. One other minor issue was that the toilet roll holder was in a very awkward location, despite not needing to be. Keep an eye open for the beautiful Hornbills and Kingfishers.

1) Given a smelly safety vest during travelling in boat. No point of dressing up nice and wearing perfumes as this smelly safety vest overpower your perfume. Its filthy to wven look at. 2) Not included hair dryer in our stay. 3) They prepared only one buggy for arrival to pick especially during midnight and others need to wait for dropoff instead of preparing 2 or more buggy to pickup as they knew everytime there will be large number people on arrival. 4) Cleanliness is not up to standard. 5) Boat departure and arrival timing are very limited especially for an island which comes with a lot of activities.

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels and resorts all over the world. We were here as a couple for 9 nights. Picked the resort for the beautiful setting. We had high expectations due to the private island. We thought this was the place for tranquility and peace and quiet. We were totally wrong. This resort is in the end not suitable for families with children, nor for couples. Not for elderly, There are always loud music or families with children around. The gardeners are also constantly cutting grass, blowing leaves and sand. It’s a constant high annoying sound level all over. On top of this there is an airport not far away. All the planes are lifting and landing over Rebak Island. Everynight at 7 pm the music from a live band starts. The music can be heard right into the bedroom. The adult pool is located behind the children's pool meaning that the adults have to give up the view from the infinity pool. Sun loungers and bar have been placed so they are blocking the sea view. Pool towels are not clean. Stains. The staff generally did not maintain as high service level as we are used to in Malaysia. Not as nice and caring treatment as in other hotels. Apart from a breakfast buffet that felt stingy, using the coffee machine cost 11 MYR The trays weren’t refilled properly. Restaurant poor and costly. No value. We are very disappointed with our stay. Go somewhere else!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön nur schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Liegen vor Ort ohne Auflage und sehr unbequem. Im Restaurant haben wir einmal zu Abend gegessen (Burger), Essen war leider kalt. Sonst kann man gut mit der Fähre an Land fahren und dort essen gehen. Die Fähre ist kostenfrei. Zimmer war super und sehr groß.
Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön nur schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Liegen vor Ort ohne Auflage und sehr unbequem. Im Restaurant haben wir einmal zu Abend gegessen (Burger), Essen war leider kalt. Sonst kann man gut mit der Fähre an Land fahren und dort essen gehen. Die Fähre ist kostenfrei. Zimmer war super und sehr groß.

Amazing place, with a true resort feel. Beautiful pool, private beach kept clean, seaview room was perfect. Staff we're so friendly & helpful. Hiking around the island was awesome, we saw heaps monkeys, lizards, birds etc Boat transfer to the mainland is frequent, if you can drag yourself from paradise

Nice location, nice transfer to main island and back. Staff was excellent and friendly. Room (420) had seen it better days and upstairs room every walking sounded right back to our room. In room there were no smoke alarms. Breakfast buffet was also really nice and fresh.

Apart of being the highest category of room selected it the noisy because of the wodden ceiling above all the guest roaming around in their room was creating a lot of disturbances, also they haven’t maintained the furniture & toilet properly. The outdoor, the view & the pool were pretty decent.

The staff are delightful, friendly and welcoming. This is an absolute gem of a place that we felt looked after the moment we arrived at the jetty for the boat to the island. Our one bedroom garden suite was spacious and brimming with classic charm of the tropics. Love this place and will definitely visit again.

Rebak Island is a haven in the sun. Really quiet location. The ferry across to the island is fast and fun – but too infrequent and its not great to wait especially at check-in time. But don’t let that put you off; its inconvenience is a minor issue when compared with the tranquillity and relaxation of the island once you get there. Check-in on the island was swift, professional and warm. All of the staff were amazingly friendly. We arrived late so quick shower then to the bar for happy hour. The bar is small but very well served with a wide range of drinks. And during happy hour the prices are very reasonable. The live music was fun. Breakfast has a good selection including beef bacon (amazing) – who knew? The pool is wonderful. And its open until 11pm. Beautifully warm for a long relax with service bells at the sun loungers until about 5pm – if you really can’t walk the 30 feet to the beach bar or swim across the pool to its own bar. There is a small shop on the island which was convenient and reasonable. The room was good with excellent air conditioning and a small fridge for your own drinks or the supplied water. Only issue was half the island had a power issue on our last night so needed to move for the last night. This was handled well and very professionally by the team. We benefited from a better room (203) for this last night which was really lovely. We would stay here again - thank you. You made our holiday memories come alive.

Excellent food, superb staff, Unbelievable value. Only issue is the sea is rather cloudy and can have detritus in it. A net and posted tide times would help. We had a spectacular honeymoon, and the spa was sublime. A totally relaxing time marred only by a regatta that had people who had clearly forgotten how to dress for dinner or even wear shoes. We cannot wait to return in the future. Nothing was too much for any member of the staff.

On arrival were 1st off the boat and 1st to reception. 45 mins later, we were finally checked in after all other guests had already been given their keys and were taken to their rooms. The check in process was a disorganised shambles. We also had issues with the boat transfer back to the island one evening. there was space on a boat for my wife and I but we were told to wait a few minutes until the next one departed. they had just started boarding when a large group including other guests who rocked up, straight out of a taxi and walked straight on and it was full before we could board. a couple of minutes wait turned into a 30 minute wait with 2 boats leaving without us. by way of apology for the issues we experienced, the took approx 40 MYR off the bill. barely enough for 1 cocktail. so generous the resort is lovely but I would not recommend staying here.

We read all the reviews of this hotel before booking and weren’t expecting 5star luxury but the hotel seemed good value and located where we wanted to be. The moment we stepped off the boat onto the island we knew we had made a great choice. All the staff were friendly, relaxed and made you very welcome. They seemed happy doing their jobs. The island is a paradise for wildlife.Everywhere is walkable and you never know what bird it animal you will find round the next corner…..and the monkeys! There is also an aviary hidden away with budgerigars and peacocks who look forward to 10am & 4pm feedings which you are invited to join. Yes , the buildings are a little tired but clean and comfortable and if you want to pay 4 times the price there are plenty of other 5star hotels but I doubt we would have enjoyed it half as much as we did!

Une île privée avec de belles plages, une marina, un jardin sublime avec des singes et des oiseaux magnifiques tel est l’hôtel reback island. Le personnel est toujours gracieux et le petit déjeuner très bien. I would have given the resort a score of four except for the ferry schedule. I was aware of the issue before booking but the reality was worse than expected. When we arrived (by air), we weren't quite able to make the 2.30pm ferry and there's a massive gap of 2.5 hours to the next ferry. Every ferry we went on was packed and, for half of them, they had to use a second boat. It would make far more sense and better customer service to change to an hourly schedule, which would only require, at the most, five extra return trips The facilities were excellent except for the bed base, which stuck out from the mattress and even had posts on which I split my toe open. One other minor issue was that the toilet roll holder was in a very awkward location, despite not needing to be. Keep an eye open for the beautiful Hornbills and Kingfishers.

Sonst kann man gut mit der Fähre an Land fahren und dort essen gehen. Die Fähre ist kostenfrei. Zimmer war super und sehr groß.

Sorry to say. Restaurent menu options have to be improved for sure. We don’t feel the food choices are up to the advertised standard. Also like some other resorts in Langkawi, this private island should also hold more than 1 Restaurent. As this is private island, guests are deserved to have more than 1 Restaurent and they should not depend on less frequency ferry service, to go out and eat. Hope management will consider this. Remaining all are very perfect. Thanks for accommodating us.

One of the most relaxing holidays I've ever had! Rooms are well appointed & well serviced, spacious & clean. Facilities & outdoor areas are very attractive & well maintained. Staff are very attentive and efficient in offering a high standard of care & service. The Resort Restaurant and Pool Bar offer a friendly & enjoyable atmosphere where a wide variety of high-quality food and drinks can be enjoyed. Beds have a soft padded mattress topper so it doesn't feel like you’re sleeping on a hard slab - YAY! A big thankyou to resort manager "Sati" and his friendly, dedicated team - I certainly hope to return in future when I'm in need of another totally relaxing & chilled out (Chillax) break!! *Small improvements management could make: *Vegetarian meal options were rare - Mushroom Stroganoff, Eggplant Moussaka etc would have been a healthy & tasty addition to the menu. *I stayed in an upstairs "Premium Sea View Room" - Airconditioning is provided by a modern wall mounted aircon unit in the bedroom. Unfortunately, cold air is lost to other areas of the room as the adjoining doors to a large bathroom and entry hall have been removed. If 2ea sliding doors were fitted to enable you to close off the bedroom from the bathroom & entry hall areas you could cool the bedroom area more efficiently & save yourself a small fortune in power costs.

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels and resorts all over the world. We were here as a couple for 9 nights. Picked the resort for the beautiful setting. We had high expectations due to the private island. We thought this was the place for tranquility and peace and quiet. We were totally wrong. This resort is in the end not suitable for families with children, nor for couples. Not for elderly, There are always loud music or families with children around. The gardeners are also constantly cutting grass, blowing leaves and sand. It’s a constant high annoying sound level all over. On top of this there is an airport not far away. All the planes are lifting and landing over Rebak Island. Everynight at 7 pm the music from a live band starts. The music can be heard right into the bedroom. The adult pool is located behind the children's pool meaning that the adults have to give up the view from the infinity pool. Sun loungers and bar have been placed so they are blocking the sea view. Pool towels are not clean. Stains. The staff generally did not maintain as high service level as we are used to in Malaysia. Not as nice and caring treatment as in other hotels. Apart from a breakfast buffet that felt stingy, using the coffee machine cost 11 MYR The trays weren’t refilled properly. Restaurant poor and costly. No value. We are very disappointed with our stay. Go somewhere else!

We had stayed at Rebak Island Resort about 10 years ago when it was managed by Taj, and returned for a 5-day stay this time. Rebak Island Resort is a relaxing laid back place to stay and lots of local wildlife at your doorstep. Buffet breakfast was fantastic and easy, fast ferry to Langkawi if you don't want to eat dinner in the resort. We were spoilt and stayed 1 week at their sister resort Pelangi so found the customer service to be a little lacking. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with some training. We loved the 2 x happy hours at the pool bars. Disappointed that the rooms don't allow for 2 twin beds when booking twin share.
