It is one of the oldest hotel but the bathroom and room flooring are well done. TV set only limited to 2 channels as the rest of channels are mute and very poor quality transmission etc. Limited amenities on a small fridge n 2 bottles of water no boiler for hot water. Cupboard in room very dull n old only did paint works to look new but dusty n dirty.

Great location! Inside the UNESCO heritage zone, lots of local eateries nearby, public transportation and other attractions. Great budget-friendly option in the heart of Penang! The hotel decor is a little dated but overall nice and clean, with comfortable beds.

Oriental Hotel is in the middle of George Town, everything there is within a walking distance, clean and neat. The front desk lady, Pheylliiezz, was welcoming and friendly and most helpful with tons of info about town. Will stay there again. Thank you very much!

This place is old and outdated. Bring your in house slippers, carpet is very old and stained. Clean in the sense that no roaches or other insects. Bathroom was updated with newer tiles but There are still some mold around the sink area.. don’t understand why they don’t remove it.

チャイナタウンの東側の通りに面して近辺には高級から安宿までホテルが軒を連ねてる便利なエリアです。旧市街の東側真ん中辺りに位置しているので旧市街の観光は徒歩圏内で無料市内バスCATのバス停もすぐ近いです。ホテルは古い中華系ホテルですが冷蔵庫もあり広くて落ち着きます。清掃も行き届いて価格からしたらコスパはとてもいいと思います。宿泊した部屋は最上階の10階（日本なら11階）で眺めも最高だし文句はありません。

チャイナタウンの東側の通りに面して近辺には高級から安宿までホテルが軒を連ねてる便利なエリアです。旧市街の東側真ん中辺りに位置しているので旧市街の観光は徒歩圏内で無料市内バスCATのバス停もすぐ近いです。ホテルは古い中華系ホテルですが冷蔵庫もあり広くて落ち着きます。清掃も行き届いて価格からしたらコスパはとてもいいと思います。宿泊した部屋は最上階の10階（日本なら11階）で眺めも最高だし文句はありません。

The room itself was fine. Large, and with views over the city. But ... The shower was only lukewarm. The TV had only 5 channels, none were English language. The fridge was wired into the same circuit as the lights, so it turned off when I removed the key to leave the room. When I returned at the end of the day, all the stuff in the fridge was warm, and also sitting in a pool of water because the icebox had defrosted. The aircon turned itself off every few hours for no apparent reason, requiring a manual reset.

Very correct, everything ok, it's not luxury but a casual hotel which needs may be some refreshment a bit outdate. I would suggest to choose a room facing the harbour and the sea, opposite the main entrance because on the other side you will hear the sound boom boom boom, infra bass from the nightclub across the street 'till 2 am at least. I was there during the week so I can't say for the we.

Hotel is comfortable and good value for money. Great location on Penang Rd, very central indeed. Very near to Komtar, Chowrasta market and the local shopping areas. I had a lovely stay. Good location, can easily explore around shopping and lots of food choices within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff! I stay here every time I visit Penang. My 3rd visit. Will definitely come back again.

stayed here because of the low price, the place feels old and dated.The room was basic but manageable for a short stay. One of the biggest downsides was the lack of internet access in the room. I was told that if I needed Wi-Fi, I’d have to either leave the door open or go sit near the lift area, which was inconvenient and not ideal, especially for privacy or getting work. However the location is very central for food and tourist attraction.

Hotel is comfortable and good value for money. Great location on Penang Rd, very central indeed. Very near to Komtar, Chowrasta market and the local shopping areas. Can shop and shop and go back to hotel to drop the bags, and then continue to shop again. Lots of makan places around the hotel also Best sekali, location is very central.
