This is a budget friendly hotel but is let down by poor staff which were unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude at times. The receptionist argued with us upon checkin and failed to tell us about a major event (Oktoberfest) that was being held in Berchestegarden, just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel refused to let us have coffee because "our check in was in three hours time". The lobby area could use better care with guests and had no access to water, tea or coffee. Location is about 25 minutes walk into town but not too bad if you're trying to see beautiful Berchestegarden. Breakfast was decent and rooms were basic but as advertised.

Ich war sehr zufrieden in einem ausreichend großen und trotzdem gemütlichen (liebevoll eingerichteteten, angenehm warmen) Zimmer mit einem sehr modernen, sauberen Badezimmer. Parken war unmittelbar vor dem Hotel kostenlos und völlig unproblematisch möglich. Das Hotel ist etwas außerhalb des Stadtkerns gelegen, was unproblematisch ist, da sowohl Einkaufsmöglichkeiten als auch die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie der (Bus-)Bahnhof prinzipiell fußläufig zu erreichen sind (max. Entfernung ca. 30 min). Die in der kostenlosen Gästekarte des Berchtesgadener Landes enthaltenen Optionen für die Nutzung des ÖPNV sind darüber hinaus sehr hilfreich (Königssee, Jennerbahn etc.). Alles in allem: Ein Platz für eine schöne Auszeit zum "Luftholen"!

This places lives up to the other reviews. It was exceptional. It was immaculate. There was a lot of cupboard space for belongings and it was nice to have a kettle to make tea in the room. The breakfast was AMAZING! It’s located just 3 min from the main town by car which makes it perfect for peace and quiet but easy to get to everything. I walked into town one day and it took 20 min. The host was very helpful with dinner suggestions. We did a few day trips across to Salzburg and it was lovely to come back to this quiet base . We were sad to leave after 3 wonderful days and will return for longer next time .

We stayed in the hotel for only one night. It’s is just on the outskirts of the main town but a nice walk along the river. I would suggest having a car as the main market square is quite a walk and all uphill. The hotel itself is relatively small with simple facilities. It’s is reasonably decorated and very clean. Unfortunately the hotel did not serve breakfast but directed us to the sister hotel up the road for our breakfast ( this was included in the rate). We weren’t keen on having to go to a different hotel for breakfast and decided not to have any. The beds were quite comfy but only one pillow and the hotel would not allow us any extra. Rooms are a good size. Communal areas are decorated basic. I would recommend for a one night but we would most likely book somewhere else if we can’t back to the area in the future.

This s one of the nicest Bed and Breakfast places Ive stayed at In Germany. Nice renovations in 2020 gives this place a nice warm and charming feel. Nice Breakfast and great location. No real negatives except room 28 is close to a road and with the windows open can be noisy. Nice bathroom and comfortsble bed and pillow.

Das Hotel ist eigentlich richtig schön, aber ein paar Kleinigkeiten müssen erwähnt werden. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön, aber etwas klein. Da es keinen Balkon hatte, war es teilweise doch beengt. Im Nachhinein denken wir, wir waren die einzigen Gäste, die fast 2 Wochen da waren, da hätte man uns schon ein Zimmer mit Balkon geben können. Das Schlafzimmer hat einen absolut lichtundurchlässigen Vorhang, warum baut man dann zum Bad eine Glastür und das Bad kann überhaut nicht verdunkelt werden? Kühlakkus konnten nur vormittags abgegeben oder entgegen genommen werden, also nur alle 2 Tage verfügbar. Das Highlight ist das Frühstück, alles da was das Herz begehrt.

The hotel is very pretty and decorated to a high standard. The parking is on site which is perfect. The room was very nice with gowns available and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was also very nice. When we arrived we went to our room but is hadn’t been made up and hadn’t been cleaned after previous guest. We went back to reception and was given another room which was good but a twin room and we had booked a double. Apart from this everything was good. We went for dinner nearby to a fantastic restaurant.

This is a perfect spot to enjoy the Alpine scenery. Very close to The Eagles Nest and right down the street from The Salt Mine. This area is beautiful. The hotel is lovely. Very clean, quiet, and the room is comfortable. We woke up to the sounds of birds chirping. Very relaxing!

I love our stay here. Though the room is small but we have everything we need. I feel very comfortable here. Breakfast is good do it is a plus. The host is very helpful. I definitely consider staying here again.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Too far for us to walk to the city center. No A\C, so we had to keep our windows open since the weather was nice and warm. We had a little traffic noise, but not too bad. Great breakfast!

The breakfast quality was excellent and the waitresses wore traditional dress, reception was very helpful, the room was lovely although a little small but did have tea & coffee making facilities and a balcony from which we could see the eagles nest ( when the clouds cleared ) so all in all fabulous place 2 minutes drive from town which was perfect for us.

We checked in late and at first I was unsure what to do in order to get in. I called the property and the lady who was very nice let me know there was an envelope waiting for me at the front door which I overlooked. Once inside the stay was great… also above average breakfast included!

We really loved it here. Although only able to be here one night, we regretted not staying longer. We were celebrating our honeymoon and they helped make this a special visit, including rose pedals and towel swans on our bed, very special for sure, and on our overall trip, that stood out as a small hotel who took care to do something unique for us. Excellent breakfast, clean, friendly and would highly recommend.

We stayed in the hotel for only one night. It’s is just on the outskirts of the main town but a nice walk along the river. I would suggest having a car as the main market square is quite a walk and all uphill. The hotel itself is relatively small with simple facilities. It’s is reasonably decorated and very clean. Unfortunately the hotel did not serve breakfast but directed us to the sister hotel up the road for our breakfast ( this was included in the rate). We weren’t keen on having to go to a different hotel for breakfast and decided not to have any. The beds were quite comfy but only one pillow and the hotel would not allow us any extra. Rooms are a good size. Communal areas are decorated basic. I would recommend for a one night but we would most likely book somewhere else if we can’t back to the area in the future.

Ich war sehr zufrieden in einem ausreichend großen und trotzdem gemütlichen (liebevoll eingerichteteten, angenehm warmen) Zimmer mit einem sehr modernen, sauberen Badezimmer. Parken war unmittelbar vor dem Hotel kostenlos und völlig unproblematisch möglich. Das Hotel ist etwas außerhalb des Stadtkerns gelegen, was unproblematisch ist, da sowohl Einkaufsmöglichkeiten als auch die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie der (Bus-)Bahnhof prinzipiell fußläufig zu erreichen sind (max. Entfernung ca. 30 min). Die in der kostenlosen Gästekarte des Berchtesgadener Landes enthaltenen Optionen für die Nutzung des ÖPNV sind darüber hinaus sehr hilfreich (Königssee, Jennerbahn etc.). Alles in allem: Ein Platz für eine schöne Auszeit zum "Luftholen"!

The breakfast quality was excellent and the waitresses wore traditional dress, reception was very helpful, the room was lovely although a little small but did have tea & coffee making facilities and a balcony from which we could see the eagles nest ( when the clouds cleared ) so all in all fabulous place 2 minutes drive from town which was perfect for us.

This places lives up to the other reviews. It was exceptional. It was immaculate. There was a lot of cupboard space for belongings and it was nice to have a kettle to make tea in the room. The breakfast was AMAZING! It’s located just 3 min from the main town by car which makes it perfect for peace and quiet but easy to get to everything. I walked into town one day and it took 20 min. The host was very helpful with dinner suggestions. We did a few day trips across to Salzburg and it was lovely to come back to this quiet base . We were sad to leave after 3 wonderful days and will return for longer next time .

This s one of the nicest Bed and Breakfast places Ive stayed at In Germany. Nice renovations in 2020 gives this place a nice warm and charming feel. Nice Breakfast and great location. No real negatives except room 28 is close to a road and with the windows open can be noisy. Nice bathroom and comfortsble bed and pillow.

This is an excellent hotel, great location, staff and a tremendous breakfast but in the heat of a German summer ( 2026 Heat waves) they do need to add fans to the rooms and hopefully AC. Despite that the room was great and would stay again.
