We visited Lake George for one night with our kids on the way to Montreal and booked this hotel very last minute. The mixed reviews gave us pause but it was a terrific experience! Everyone we interacted with was so responsive and kind. The pool is really nice, as is the little lakeside beach, and we happily took advantage of the affordable kayak rentals. Our room-- one of the budget options-- was renovated, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is also in close walking distance to everything else we wanted to do in Lake George. We would definitely return!

We visited Lake George for one night with our kids on the way to Montreal and booked this hotel very last minute. The mixed reviews gave us pause but it was a terrific experience! Everyone we interacted with was so responsive and kind. The pool is really nice, as is the little lakeside beach, and we happily took advantage of the affordable kayak rentals. Our room-- one of the budget options-- was renovated, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is also in close walking distance to everything else we wanted to do in Lake George. We would definitely return!

Right on the lake with lots of lounge chairs down by the water. The drinks & food were reasonably priced and good. We watched the fireworks on the lake right from the hotel. It’t definately a go again place.

Perfect space for a long weekend! Love the bar happy hour and cabana. Lake was cold but pool was heated! Loved everything. second time staying and we will book for next year too!! Walkable to everything too!!

We were pleased with facility and beautiful lake views from Cabana bar/pool. Some inconveniences due to midweek slightly off season stay with restaurant not open for dinner and food service only through Cabana bar area. We had some difficulties trying to order food to take back to room and disappointed that when we did get food it was packed up in plastic container with no plate or utensils (how are customers supposed to eat it?)

We found hair in our bed, so we got a new room - which also had hair in the bed, so then we got new linens. Later we saw a stain under the toilet seat, so cleaning must have been inadequate. Also saw that our original room had been rented out again just a few hours after we had switched… I wonder if they got a chance to clean it properly in such a short time? I am not going to stay here again, if you care about cleanliness, I suggest you think twice before you do. The staff was nice and did try to make things right though by offering us new linens and a drinks credit for the bar.

The pool and beach area is very nice and the motel is close to down down area. The room was partly updated. The floor in my room was very dirty so was the toilet. They charge $10 cash deposit for beach towels. After check out you can not stay on the premises. The staff was not very friendly. The restaurant was very nice with decent food and friendly service. Bottom line is I would never stay there again. It was basically a glorified motel.

I realize this hotel is older but it truly needs to update the toilets to comfort height. The hotel walkways were all dirty which was surprising. The door to our room would not close all the way from the outside. Overall, it was a little disappointing.

we enjoy the view and swam at the lake. the food is good. our room is clean and they gave us the 2nd floor and got a good view of the lake. they have an affordable floating cabana that we really really enjoy. the people are so nice and will respond very promptly. the only things that I observe is that thin walls. our right door neighbor has kids and we can feel the walking and jumping. BUT i informed the front desk and they did something about it.immediatly. and i also hope that they can clean the hall way because there is a lot of spider webs and spider.... and to also maintain the beach chairs. and also to have a beach towel at the pool and at the beach so it will be more accessible. and to have atleast a pool and beach life guard.

The door is hard to open from the inside! They get stuck very hard to open. The cleaners came to our room and opened the door without knocking! Other wise room was ok not what was pictured on the booking site. No view from the room. I was a little disappointed, spoke to the front desk. I would book her again but now that I know they lay out I would plan better.

Great spot for families - our 5 and 10 year old absolutely loved it. Super convenient for walking through the village. The food at the cabana was outstanding and the servers were incredibly friendly. The hotel itself could use a little TLC (our door didn't shut all of the way and the second floor deck was loud and spongey in spots), but the beds were comfortable. We would stay here again.

We stayed in the presidential room. Room is big, the view is very beautiful but the roon itself was maintained very poorly, need a major renovation. The wallpaper were torn, the shower door won't even slide or was not aligned, very dirty shower flooring. The room is under furnished, there's no sink to wash hands or cups, the only sink is the one in the bathroom. Beds were very uncomfortable, good thing we just have to stay there for 1 night.

For the price that we paid to stay here, the room smelled like mold and damp. The beds are not comfortable, and my opinion is the rooms can use some updating. Check-in was OK, as the person who was checking us in seem to be overwhelmed and they are not so friendly there. Not sure if it’s a New York thing or They were having a bad day. Like George itself was a beautiful area. But for sure would not stay here again.

We had a nice room with a view of the lake and the pool, but people should know that when the hotel has high occupancy it has an issue supplying a sufficient amount of hot water. It happened to us twice during our one night stay. It gets resolved eventually but you either have to take a cold shower or wait for them to correct the problem.

Heating unit was noisy and woke us up every time it kicked on. Tried to call the front desk, no answer. Finally received a text at 1:45 am to use texting to contact the front desk. Of course 7 hours after check in. Ate at the restaurant on site. Cold soup, blah food. Only thing good were the wait staff who were extremely friendly in the restaurant. Snide receptionist at the front office when we inquired about some sort of a refund due to the noisy fan of the unit. We were told it won’t be like what you have at home. We won’t be staying there again.

Check in was at 4:00. Was told our room wasn’t ready but they would text us when it was. About 45 minutes go by and no text. Went to the front desk and the older lady checked and it miraculously was just done 5 minutes prior. I asked if we could get some sort of credit and she immediately made a face and threw down our room key and said she would have to check with management (who of course were supposedly not in) We recognize that the room not being ready was not her fault. I didn’t bother asking about that upon check out. Rooms are hard to find and they give you a map like you’re Dora the Explorer. We asked a man that had a Georgian shirt on and he didn’t even know. Thankfully a customer that apparently stays there often knew and helped us. It would be good idea to put up signs for the rooms in the back. It was also Americade week which is our fault for not checking prior and there were a lot of motorcycles. Thankfully we got a lakeview room and it was very quiet. The room itself was nice and except the exposed circuit panel that seemed dangerous. The lights in the ceiling looked like they were gonna fall out. The bathroom was nice. The property says “no smoking” except in the designated areas, but people were smoking all over and had to walk through a cloud of cigar smoke by the pool area. The only saving grace was Jo-Jo the bartender. She was sweet and personable and made the drinks really good! She will be missed since we won’t stay here again.

We visited Lake George for one night with our kids on the way to Montreal and booked this hotel very last minute. The mixed reviews gave us pause but it was a terrific experience! Everyone we interacted with was so responsive and kind. The pool is really nice, as is the little lakeside beach, and we happily took advantage of the affordable kayak rentals. Our room-- one of the budget options-- was renovated, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is also in close walking distance to everything else we wanted to do in Lake George. We would definitely return!

Terrible parking conditions. Every night, when we came back from dinner, there were never parking spaces in the lot. We had to park in the below ground parking lot. One night the valet,who was only telling people where the underground lot was, was extremely rude. Another man was with him, yelling at me to put my parking pass in the window. They didn’t have enough help in the dining room for breakfast. The poor waitress was running around trying to do too many jobs by herself. The place is being renovated nicely, but the hotel is being run by poor management.

Highly recommend this hotel. Our room was updated and clean. Lakefront property with plenty of parking. Onsite restaurant and bar near pool with plenty of seating with lake view. Fire pits with wicker seating in pool area. Friendly staff. They use texting to provide information about property, to ask if you need housekeeping, etc. We needed a battery for tv remote, I texted office and someone arrived with a battery without 15 minutes. Central location in the heart of Lake George. Reasonable rates as well. We had a great stay.

Room was clean, bed was comfy, staff was nice. Loved enjoying my coffee in the morning looking at the lake. We didn’t have a lake view room but they have an outside bar with tables and it was the perfect spot for morning coffee. Also liked parking the car and not using it again until we left. You can walk to shops, dining, the park, anywhere basically. Would definitely stay here again if we come back.

The property is centrally located in Lake George and within walking distance to all attractions in the village. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Parking is a bit tight so you may need to circle the lot to find a spot close to your room. One thing that was unfortunate was that we saw people smoking outside in front of their rooms/balconies where there are chairs for each room and smoking is not permitted. We witnessed motel staff walking by and not doing anything about that even though there are specific designated smoking areas away from the rooms. Overall, it was a pleasant enough stay as we were there for only one night. If we had been there for a longer visit, the smoking in front of the motel rooms would have been an issue for us.

We enjoyed the many amenities of this hotel which included beach access to the lake, kayaking on the lake, heated outdoor pool and and many food options without having to leave the premises. It is a quick walk to the tourist areas. It was nice being able to park the car and walk everywhere.

Conveniently located near all attractions in lake george. Pool is heated for convenience although it is outdoors. Their restaurant was great, ate twice there, truly impressed. Although property looked outdated from the outside, our room had been updated and was nice. We would definitely recommend the stay here and come back when visiting Lake George.

The room smelled like mold, there was a patched up hole in the bathroom near the toilet. Remote to the tv didn’t work, bulbs were burnt out in areas in the room. Waited 45mins at The Galley for waitstaff that never came and ended up leaving. Too long wait for food. Outside bathroom was dirty and falling apart.

The hotel was great. However we were told the bar was open til 9 or 11pm and it was not open at all. Also the restraunt, we went for breakfast and it was aweful. They were obviously shkrt staffed, but it was not good and the food wasnt good either.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Georgian in Lake George. The room was spacious, and the pool and beach areas are well-kept and clean. There is an indoor restaurant overlooking the lake and an outdoor bar practically on the lake! Both were very nice, though service was a bit slow. I recommend this hotel.

We were pleased with facility and beautiful lake views from Cabana bar/pool. Some inconveniences due to midweek slightly off season stay with restaurant not open for dinner and food service only through Cabana bar area. We had some difficulties trying to order food to take back to room and disappointed that when we did get food it was packed up in plastic container with no plate or utensils (how are customers supposed to eat it?)

Great hotel, and one that I stayed in for the first time! Room was nicely appointed, good size, comfy bed and recently renovated. The dining options were excellent, breakfast was a good value and the outside bar/restaurant offered a good bang for the buck. Great views, service and food options. Put it on your list! Ill be back!

I liked the room, it was just redone and was very large. The pool was nice. The beach area was small. The beach bar was nice but the service was terrible. Our food took about a 45 minute wait and the food just ok. We ordered breakfast in our room and the breakfast sandwiches we very good and the coffee was good.

About a 10-minute walk gets you to Shepard Park etc.

Location was great and the bed was super comfortable! The bathroom was tiny and the shower was SO loud I felt sorry for our neighbors when I showered early in the morning. Wasnt a fan of the carpet in the entry of the room (it was super dirty and worn) since the rooms are exterior entrance.
