Hill House Myeongdong

La habitación tenia un olor muy fuerte y feo a cigarro y a olores raros. El shampoo , jabon, toallas etc estan muy restringidas. El dia que hicimos check out no habia nadie en recepcion. Las grades de la entrada dificultan subir maletas

部屋は広く全て全室禁煙のため過ごしやすいホテルですが、必要最小限のアメニティと設備になっていますので必要な物はしっかり準備が必要です。フロントのスタッフは日本語が上手で安心でした。

We were told on arrival that, due to an electrical fault, that our superior double room was not available, so we were put in a basement room, no offer of refuced rate or refund. Turned out the a/c was poor in the basement room, so difficult to sleep. We cancelled our planned later stay, and booked a guesthouse in nearby Myeoung-dong

Room was spacious and clean. Check in and out was easy. Only thing I didn't like was I put a do not disturb when I went out and still someone came into the room to clean. Some things were likely thrown out that I had wanted to keep to reuse (extra bag, plastic water bottle). I did not secure my items thinking noone would enter. At least Korea is a safe country and I did not notice anything of value missing. Area is very quiet and it is literally on-top of a steep street. Walkable to nearby cafes and bus stop. May be difficult for people with ambulatory issues. Entrance is a flight of stairs. I did not notice any ramps or accessible entrance.

The place is not a four star hotel. It is at best a three star hotel and even that is iffy. I’ll start with the good. The location is pretty good for seeing Seoul. It’s close to the cable car to Namsan Tower and Myeungdong. Can easily walk to both from the hotel. I’d say 10 to 12 minutes to the night market. If you go the other direction you can head over towards the palaces and such. The subway station is close and the street leading up to the hotel has a few local Korean restaurants and a small convenience store. There are a couple of coffee shops and a gelato place as well. So if you’re a tourist, this is a good location. The beds were comfy as well and the AC worked pretty well, although they can be kind of loud. Now the bad. The hotel is in need of updating. The carpet is worn, wallpaper peeling, and overall need of some love and care. I am Korean American and my Korean is limited, but I asked the front desk to call me a cab for my family of five. He tried for like 15 seconds and said he couldn’t do it. I messaged my cousin and he sent a car within 10 minutes. There is no laundry on premises. I talked to another front desk person, Filipina and she told me there is small laundry mat on the street which was obvious and of a dry cleaner. The dry cleaner is a super local place and I went in there and asked if he could do our laundry. He quoted 30,000 won and when I picked it up he said it was a lot so I gladly gave him another 10,000 won. Hope this helps.

他の方も書いておられるように、坂道がきついです。また、建物自体古く、リフォームされたとは思いますが①壁紙が剥がれている②隅は埃が溜まっている③2泊なので掃除には入られんだろうけど浴槽は髪の毛がついたまま。（おそらく浴槽は掃除されていない。拭いただけ）など、色々ありました。素人さんのお仕事なホテルかな？普段普通のホテルに泊まる人は無理だと思います。良かった点は安かったのと、ソウル駅から一駅で行ける立地、フロントの人が話ができる事。金額安く抑えたいならオススメです。

The room was spacious! However the TV and AC didn’t work! Bathroom has a weird layout! But overall, we had a pleasant stay! 18-20 mins walk to myeongdong st. Which was great! If you’re looking for an updated modern place this isn’t the place! We opted to stay here for one day with kids as we needed a spot for a few hours before we headed out. Aside from that, the front staff was nice and very kind. Would stay here again.

This was a nice place to stay. It had a couple quirky things about it, such as the bathroom having frosted glass wall and doors. That's okay when it's just you and a spouse, but when you're a family, it's a little weird. So, we just had to make sure we weren't looking the direction of the bathroom when others were in there. The elevator only held two people with their luggage, so we had to take two trips for our family of four. It was a clean room and a place for us to crash for a night. It was nice.

客室はバスタブが大きくて壁にそって棚？があって荷物置きにとっても良かったです。 綺麗で日本語が話せないスタッフさんが居ましたが一生懸命翻訳アプリで会話しようとしてくれて親切で笑顔が素敵でした！ 同行者の友人もこのホテルを選んだ私を絶賛してくれました。ただ…ホテル前の坂がキツいです(笑) また韓国に行くときはこのホテルにします。

Very clean. The staff are excellent!

エアコンのリモコンにつけまつ毛が付いていてびっくりしました。 4泊しましたがシーツやバスタオルは取り替えたりはしないようでしたが、ゴミは捨ててくれたので良かったです。

Rooms were okay, good size but not the cleanest

トイレが詰まってしまい直ぐに対応してくれました。お部屋はとてもきれいです。

明洞には立地がいいが、清掃は行き届いてないしシャンプーはリンスインシャンプーだしいままで韓国で泊まったホテルの中であんまりでした。

The location was good, near to Myeongdong, bus stops and subway stations, restaurants, etc. But it is up a hill. The rooms need some renovations, it was really dusty so it doesn’t look like they clean it before we checked in, the room cleaning was bad, we stay there for more than 15 days and they never swept the floors, especially the bathroom and during our last week we had noise issues from neighbors rooms.

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was far from pleasant due to the poor cleaning service. When we arrived, the room was clean however, that is when the cleaning service level went downhill. The room was not properly cleaned throughout the duration of our week long stay. Despite requesting housekeeping to empty our bins, sweep the floor, or change our towels/sheets, the staff either didn’t show up or did a rushed, superficial job. It really affected our overall experience. This hotel needs to improve its cleaning standards before we would consider returning.

It says in the property ads, daily housekeeping,but the entire two weeks (+) that we stayed, they did not clean our rooms. They only changed our towels and empty the trash can. Staff is unavailable to answer the phone. The day that we arrived , we tried to call the hotel to get directions but nobody answered the phone. No breakfast available at all, even if you are willing to pay. . This made me sad. We stayed at this hotel nine years ago and they have free breakfast and it was a good spread. The property itself really had gone downhill from nine years ago. It will be hard to recommend this property to any of my friends and relatives.

Die Location macht das Hotel zu einem Top Kandidaten wenn man low Budget reisen möchte. Zimmer werden sogar gereinigt, auch wenn das Bad scheinbar nicht Reinigungsarbeiten zugehört. Es hat auch garnicht gestört, dass das Zimmer keine Fenster hatte, da wir eh nur zum schlafen da waren. Die Klimaanlage hat super funktioniert und dauerhaft für eine gute Luft gesorgt. Wir würden es, wenn wir wieder Low-Budget nach Seoul reisen wieder buchen.

水回りが全部同じ部屋なので、シャワーを浴びるとトイレがびしょびしょになってしまうのが慣れてないので大変でした。 シャワーの水圧が定期的に弱くなるので、タイミング次第なのかなと思いました。

駅からホテルまでかなりの坂道でしたが、歩けなくはない距離でした。 大きい荷物等があると、大変かもしれません。 ホテル自体は綺麗で不便さもなく快適に過ごせました。 地下の部屋で窓がなかったため、当日の天気などが外に出るまで分からなかったですが、特に問題はありませんでした。 強いて言うなら、部屋の電気を操作するスイッチが入り口のとこだけにあり、夜寝る時にスイッチを切りに行かないといけないのが少し不便でした。 お値段も安くて、安心して過ごすことができたので、次また韓国に行く時も利用したいと思います。

ホテルまでに坂があるので、登りが結構つらかったです。 でも、明洞や南大門など歩いて行ける距離で駅の入り口等も近くにあるので交通はとても良かった。 ですが、お風呂のカーテンがないのであればさらに良かったと思います！

到着が遅くなりましたがセルフチェックインとのことで宿泊できました。 コーヒーの補充がなく、フロントに伝えるとすぐいただけました。ありがとうございました。

Agradecido por las atenciones recibidas por el personal. Cuando llegamos al hotel se nos asignó una habitación con olor a cigarrillo y al solicitar el cambio fueron accesible. Procuraron brindarnos buena atención y se esforzaron por brindarnos ayuda en el idioma inglés. A pesar de que las empleadas en su mayoría no entienden el idioma del inglés y ellas tienen una persona joven que domina el inglés quien procuraba siempre ayudarnos. Agradezco sus atenciones. Solo resaltó que si hubiese una persona que haga uso de silla de ruedas pudiera tener complicaciones para ingresar al hotel.

La chambre était relativement propre, mais pas parfaite. Cela dit, pour le rapport qualité-prix, c’était largement acceptable ! Le personnel était très souriant et agréable, nous avons eu de très bons contacts avec eux et ce fut un réel plaisir de séjourner ici.

明洞通りに近く、浴槽もあり満足しました。スタッフも、日本語が出来たのでチェックインしやすかったです。

坂の上にあるため、大きな荷物を持っての移動は大変だが、それ以外は全く不便なく過ごせました！ お水、コーヒースティック、シャンプー、ボディーソープが用意されていました！

Nice hotel to stay at an excellent reasonable price for 3 nights. Wish Hotel manager put easy direction from which subway rather than google map to walk uphill and downhill. The nearest subway is Hoehyeon station exit #1 for next tourists. Request for more packet decaf coffee at the front desk.

立地は良かったが、その名の通り丘の上なので、急な坂が大変だった。

フェヒョン駅まで歩いて10分もかからず、フロントマンも親切でよかった。また旅行で来た際は利用したいと思った。

Schön gelegen in den Hügeln vorm Fernsehturm. Den Hauptbahnhof erreicht man in 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Sehr umfangreiches Gastronomie und Shoppingangebotin Fußweite

The hotel was fairly clean and its location was perfect(not too far from the subway station and there were many good restaurants and shopping centres). Staff was friendly and helpful, too. They also provide a ride to the airport with a reasonable price. I'd love to re-visit the hotel.

日本語を話せる方がいたので助かりました。 ホテルは寝巻きがあるとうれしいです。 毎日ウォーターが2本部屋に用意してくれてました。 明洞から少し離れて坂がありましたが、そんなに苦ではなかったです。 シャワーも心配してましたが、出が悪いとか急に温度が下がる事がないので良かったです。

Very good value. Staff cleans rooms daily, which was very nice. Couldn’t find where breakfast was being served (if it was served at all) but definitely a great place to stay in Seoul.
