We stayed in the Swallow room in the barn conversion. Everything you need in the room, inc. tea/coffee/biscuits. Spotlessly clean and great shower/en suite. Also, one of the best points, a large downstairs communal area. Settees and TV, complete with stocked kitchen with cooker hob microwave and fridge.

Really enjoyed our stay at Marsh Farm, our room was clean with lots of charm. We had access to a full kitchen and living space shared with 1 other room. Breakfast selection was great and tasty too. Staff were all very friendly. Highly recommend this B&B set in the rural village of Abbots Bromley.

Very comfortable stay, spacious and clean room. Plenty of towels, coffee, tea etc. Shared kitchen and lounge area which we didn’t use this time but could be useful. Very good breakfast and, because we were lucky enough to be there when the tea shop was open, very tasty home made lunch too!

A hidden gem close to Alton Towers. We stayed in Robins Roost, double bed, single bed, pull out bed - nestled in a beautiful farm setting with shared lounge, kitchen area. It was a wonderful stay, with exceptional attention to detail & the breakfast was beautiful.

Great stay whilst working in Stafford showground which was about 20 mins away on country lanes. The little kitchen was very handy as I could make my own simple meals each night. Good breakfast.

Truly amazing 2 night stay at Marsh Farm. Room very clean and additional option to use shared living area which is great if a family or a longer stay with use of large fridge, iron and table for playing board games. Even though it is situated along the side of A road, couldn’t hear the traffic or any other residents. For breakfast choice of cereals, yogurts, fruit, homemade jams and juices and then a wonderful full English cooked by Sarah the host. We would like to say a special thank you to Sarah for going out of her way and taking us back to our car following a wedding, that is truly going above and beyond and if we could give more than 10/10 we would. Highly recommend as you can guess and will stay again no question if ever in the area.

Stayed for 1 night before our 2 year olds birthday at CBeebies land. We were greeted on arrival, taken to our lovely family room- Robins nest. It was so spacious and immaculately clean, could easily stay there as a family for a few nights. A communal area and kitchen downstaires also. The location was great for our daughter being able to see some animals on the farm and a couple of minutes drive from Abbotts Bromley where there was lots of pubs to choose from a lovely meal. Breakfast the next morning was great. A bargain and we will be back 🙂

Lovely place to stay the night before our trip to Alton towers. Spotlessly clean, comfortable room. The hosts were so lovely and friendly. Breakfast was absolutely superb, especially the fresh eggs straight from their own chickens! We also had a little wonder around the garden and the whole place is so tidy and well cared for, it’s a pleasure to spend time there. We will definitely stay again. Very reasonable price too, great value for money.

What a little gem! Beautiful farmhouse style room with wooden beams. Very clean and comfy. Didn't sample the breakfast as i needed to leave too early. Will absolutely stay here again, thank you for a lovely stay

After experiencing an awful hotel i got this one hours before i needed to go there. I was greeted by a lovely lady who showed me my room which was beautifully clean and spacious. I the morning i had to go early suddenly and she still accommodated me with a quick coffee and toast. Very friendly and a lovely quiet place.

Lovely peaceful stay. We needed a break away and found this place. Room lovely and clean and friendly staff. Also lovely breakfast. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to staying again in the near future.

It was a real countryside experience. Beautiful, clean and peaceful. The owners were welcoming and genuine. The double bed in the Robin's Nest room was uncomfortable. I slept in the single bed which was much better. If it wasnt for that, the stay would have been perfect.

What a wonderful stay from start to finish. I was warmly greeted and told I could safely park my motorcycle outside my room away from any views from the road. My room was clean spacious and comfortable, the two seater settee was a pleasant surprise. An adapted room with a large wet room and a powerful shower. Quality tea and coffee with complimentary biscuits too Breakfast was equally impressive, eggs from the hens outside my room.

Lovely b&b. We stayed in the family room which was plenty big enough for 3. Comfy beds, plenty of pillows. Small issues but nothing major … no hook for blind to be able to keep it down to stop the sun coming through early morning, no BBC channels on the very small Tv, watch out for your head with the eaves and low beams! Beautiful gardens. Really nice full English breakfast. We also had the afternoon tea which was delicious, with homemade scones, jam, etc.

Good in most ways, very good in some, but the internet left a lot to be desired: slow speed is understandable in a rural area but there was also a weak wifi signal, sometimes below the scale in our room, and unreliable service, dropping often.

Wonderful service from start to finish. Warm welcome, full explanation, shown to the room. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast served without a fuss and far better than the big hotels. Great value for money. Definitely will be back. Thank you

What an amazing little find. I wanted to move in. I was with my daught god daughter and daughter god mum for a girls day at Alton towers. Sarah communication was amazing fro the off and the room was fantastic just what we wanted. Home comforts after a horric journey on day one and a thrills filled adrenline fueled day following day. The comforts of the room were just what we need to have an amazing nights sleep witb a filling fueld breakfast. I cannot thank Sarah and her mum for creating a fantastic homely base for an exhausting weekend with a 13 year old and 18 year old and two adaults who were emotinally and physically exhausted. The veiws are amazing and the breakfst has so much choice (we all had put own fussy quirks) and sarah could not accomidate us enough. I will definatly be back as wouls live to try the afternoon tea ❤️❤️❤️ perfect from start to finish Thank you

Absolutely loved our stay, the room was spotless , breakfast was impeccable. Hosts were very attentive and friendly. Loved it here. We will be booking to stay again.

Sarah was really welcoming for our stay and was able to accommodate our change in arrival time. The accommodation was very comfortable and relaxing and the added breakfast the following morning was lovely. The location is perfect for a trip to Alton Towers and is a short drive from central Uttoxeter and all its shops and amenities. Will definitely be returning.

What a find!! We stayed here to visit the Uttoxetor races which is about 6 miles away. Upon arrival we were personally greeted by the host (and 3 adorable chickens!!) taken to our room which was spotlessly clean and spacious. The breakfast was another level! I think it’s probably the best brekkie I have ever had. Service was amazing you can tell the love and hard work of this family run business our only disappointment was not being able to hang around for any delicious afternoon tea from the tearoom because I think it would be amazing! With this in mind we will be back to sample this sometime! I can honestly say Marsh farm and it’s owners have made me think about how much time, Effort and hard work goes into our local b&bs and it has made me think that I shall always look at b&bs first before booking a hotel because it really was that good!! Thank you to our hosts - you were amazing xx truly British quality at its best! xx

An absolute gem. I stayed here for one night as a work trip. The location is beautiful and so peaceful, the room spotless with access to everything I could need, and the owner couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. I will be returning and bringing my family with me.

This was a cosy, welcoming extension to the farmhouse next door, where our breakfast was served. The room for 3 of us was clean & well appointed. The only "down" side was that it was quite out of the way of the motorway, but close enough to a village where we could have an evening meal.

Great stay whilst working in Stafford showground which was about 20 mins away on country lanes. The little kitchen was very handy as I could make my own simple meals each night. Good breakfast.

It was a half way stop in our journey. We were made very welcome. Our accommodation was more than sufficient with ensuite bathroom & facilities to make a beverage. The nearby village of Abbots Bromley had several pubs for a choice of evening meals.

We loved our short stay at this family run b&b. We slept amazingly and breakfast was tasty and plentiful, with eggs from their own free range hen. Plus breakfast had a beautiful view of the garden with so kany colourful flowers. The whole family is lovely here and went above and beyond for our time here. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who's wanting a place to stay in this part of the country!

Very comfortable stay, spacious and clean room. Plenty of towels, coffee, tea etc. Shared kitchen and lounge area which we didn’t use this time but could be useful. Very good breakfast and, because we were lucky enough to be there when the tea shop was open, very tasty home made lunch too!

Fantastic B&B. Cosy room, very comfortable beds, great shower. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Bargin price. Host was lovely. Definitely stay here if you are in the area. We stayed one night before departing for Alton Towers.

Lovely b&b. We stayed in the family room which was plenty big enough for 3. Comfy beds, plenty of pillows. Small issues but nothing major … no hook for blind to be able to keep it down to stop the sun coming through early morning, no BBC channels on the very small Tv, watch out for your head with the eaves and low beams! Beautiful gardens. Really nice full English breakfast. We also had the afternoon tea which was delicious, with homemade scones, jam, etc.

Had a lovely stay with my Mum in Wren’s Retreat at Marsh Farm, an accessible, ground floor twin bedroom with large en-suite walk in wet room. It was an ideal room for our stay. Everything was immaculate. Breakfasts are included with several options but the full English was delicious! The stay was also excellent value. We also had the Afternoon Tea, again excellent food & value for money. The gardens are beautiful & it was great to be able to sit out. Sarah & family were also lovely; very kind & nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

Upon arrival was greeted by staff and shown the spacious room. Parking was easy, as was the use of the downstairs kitchen. The property was well maintained and there was a gorgeous flower garden off the main house. Breakfast was good and plenty. Location was perfect, as we had just visited Alton Towers and was also close to grocery stores.

Marsh Farm is situated in farmland and near countryside. Our en-suite room was very comfortable and there were lots of little touches such as fan in room as weather was very warm; tea tray, biscuits as well as use of fridge, kitchen facilities in the communal area. Sarah was a fantastic host, very attentive and we enjoyed a good breakfast the next morning. Would absolutely recommend staying here, if you need accommodation in the area. Such a good experience in comparison to the branded stopovers!
