Perfect stay - thoughtful, relaxing, and spotless!! I had a great time! The hotel was super clean and felt very safe. Every detail was thoughtfully considered—even a unique first aid kit. The bar was excellent, and the bathhouse was the perfect place to unwind. Loved the bathrooms with bidets. Truly a flawless stay from start to finish.

The hotel itself is nice, but be aware: as of Labor Day weekend 2025, the main AC unit is not operational. Rooms—especially on the third floor—get hot. I had a studio king and it was hot towards the back. The hotel provides portable AC units in each room, which help somewhat but don’t fully cool the space. Considering this, the high resort fee feels unreasonable since it doesn’t reflect the reduced comfort. Parking is $30 per day on top of the daily hotel fee. A discount here would be more fair with the hotel fee, On the positive side, the staff is wonderful—very friendly and accommodating. The hotel offers bicycle for free, which is a fun way to explore the area. Breakfast is average: you can grab an egg sandwich, fruit, and coffee, but don’t expect anything extraordinary. The sauna is quite small compared to traditional bathhouses, but you can still enjoy it if you go at the right time.

The Gaythering was dealing with an A/C issue during my stay prior to a large Atlantis sailing from Miami. They were very up front with all of the issues and made as much right as possible - with excellent warm service and very courteous staff. While the A/C units were a challenge for me due to sound, the rooms were as comfortable as possible. I chose a standard room and had stayed in the 'crates' before and it was a large upgrade. I also had more time to explore Miami. This location has an excellent location adjacent to Lincoln Avenue, as well as a Trader Joe's within walking distance that I used to stock a minifridge up with healthy snacks. It's a great place to use as a base of travel. The Gaythering itself also functions as a bar where the locals gather, and it's delightfully campy, if not a bit over the top - but if you're game (gayme?) for it and don't take it too seriously it's a wonderful place to chill before heading out to sea or your next destination. The sauna was very useful for its intended purpose (cough cough) and down to earth - very little attitude, which is a huge difference from other 'saunas' I've been to.

We loved the warm & welcoming atmosphere of the property. The staff and service was impeccable. It was clean and had many amenities like a sauna, bar, free bike rentals, beach chairs/umbrella & breakfast. It was easy to meet people & make friends. The area was also safe & quiet. I I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Gaythering. The spacious, well-appointed room was comfortable, despite minimal furniture and some signature chair under repair. The property doesn't have parking, you have to pay extra to park 3 blocks away. Very inconvenient! The room is nice. The decor is fantastic. Very clean and cozy. The hotel itself is a unique experience. Congratulations. The sauna left something to be desired. Very small and with a strange layout. I entered the sauna and saw a trans being reprimanded for being in there. Apparently, he/she had just arrived and was looking for the locker when the front desk guy literally came running to get hom/her out. He said it was only for "men" and that she "he" couldn't stay there because was trans. Personally, I didn't think it was cool, but anyway, the person left the establishment. They told him/her to find another sauna. I thought it was absurd. That night, I went down to the bar, which was really cool with good music. But I didn't stay long because a guy kept bothering me. I had to go up to my room. Overall, the hotel experience was nice, but I won't stay there again. Breakfast was good 👍

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Gaythering for one night on March 22, 2025. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, we were extremely disappointed by a serious housekeeping oversight. After a long early morning flight from Boston, we were exhausted and didn’t check under the covers until we were getting ready for bed around 10:30 PM—only to find dried bloodstains on both the bed sheets and duvet. We immediately notified the night manager, who was understanding but informed us that housekeeping was gone for the day, so he couldn’t replace the bedding. Instead, he personally brought us fresh sheets and gloves so we could change them ourselves. As an apology, we were each given two free drink coupons for the Gaythering Bar downstairs. While we appreciate the staff’s responsiveness and effort to make up for the situation, this is a serious health and safety concern that should never happen in a hotel. Proper quality control in housekeeping is essential, and we hope management takes steps to prevent this from happening to future guests.

Very friendly front desk staff (Kia) and a nice easy checkin. The onsite bar is very convenient. The rooms were well appointed and much cleaner than I expected! Conveniently located right next to Lincoln Road Mall.

When we walked in the door, we were instantly greeted with a big smile and a hello. This is a fun niche hotel with a lot of bold personality. We love the decor and location. Having a bar with quick service and tasty drinks was awesome. We were able to walk to anything we needed. The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable. The room was spotless. Having a bidet was a bonus! Thank you Hôtel Gaythering!

I’ve heard about the Gaythering for some time and finally had the chance to stay there. I wish it could’ve been a longer stay but I loved it. The room was nice and super clean, love the red touches of the curtains and shower curtain, that shower pressure was amazing. I didn’t have the chance to use the sauna or get breakfast so maybe next time but in overall it was excellent. I just feel the rooms could use a bit more light but that’s just me other than that everything was great.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. Check-in was delayed due to a maintenance issue—the central air conditioning was down, and management was installing emergency units in the rooms. While the temporary units kept the temperature comfortable, they were massive, roughly the size of a refrigerator, taking up significant space and producing considerable noise. On top of that, they required frequent draining every five hours, either by guests themselves or by maintenance staff, which was a constant inconvenience. That said, front desk attendant Nick was outstanding. He ensured we had everything we needed, and as a courtesy for the AC issue, we received complimentary drink coupons, which we appreciated. Despite the challenges, his excellent service made a big difference in our stay.

good location near restaurants. the aircos in the rooms are broken and replaced by portable units i think water coolers that could not cool the roomd. so i left. it would be impossible to spend the night in such a hot noisy room.

I I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Gaythering. The spacious, well-appointed room was comfortable, despite minimal furniture and some signature chair under repair. The unique car repair cabinet-turned-dresser was a perfect touch. I would’ve preferred a speaker over the sound machine and more seating, but these were minor issues. The bathroom, with its washlet bidet, was a standout. I also enjoyed the bar, sauna with stylish furniture, and attentive front desk service. Overall, a fun, comfortable stay.

Staff is great and attentive and the rooms are nice and well maintained. Unfortunately during my stay the A/C was out for the entire building for the entirety of my stay. I was notified of this as I was checking in and was told I could cancel for a full refund or if wanted to stay they would comp me for the days that the A/C was non-functional and would be given a fan and vouchers for free drinks. I stayed and while it did get uncomfortably warm in my room occasionally I didn’t regret my stay at all and would stay again. Big shout out to the management for their handling of bad situation that was out of their control.

Wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms are modern and decorated well and the staff is friendly. Actually cares that you’re there. Chase at the front desk is always there with pleasant smile every time you see him. All the staff remembers guests by their name from the front desk to the bartenders!

It was ok. Check in took way too long. Booking and paying for an extra night was also a painful experience. Long and drawn out. Even though I knew the new room was readyThey weren’t able to accommodate us to go straight to our new room since the one we just stayed in was booked. So they let us sit outside in the courtyard while we waited for them to decide we had sweat enough to go to our new room. Don’t get me wrong, it was a nice stay. This one aspect of my trip was confusing as the housekeeping staff told me the new room was made up and ready.

I would return to this property anytime, and the staff and other clients were very friendly. Also the staff were very helpful with accommodating any request that I had, if they could help. One was allowing to have a late checkout, because I could not get on the ship for 2 hours after checkout..

I had the worst time trying to rest and relax. My first night with you guys, around 2am, noise non stop from the courtyard woke me up and kept me up all night. My second night the noise started around 10pm, which made it impossible for me to sleep, I texted the number you gave me for assistance twice and no one ever responded. I was so tired the morning of 12/25 I just packed up and left, I let the front desk know about the issues. I was charged to stay and check out the morning of the 26th. Could not rest, so checked out a day early. Not a very good stay for me since I had gone to Miami for rest and relaxation. You can contact me at 214-505-6294 for additional comments. My husband and I stayed here the night before boarding our wedding cruise. Osvaldo greeted us warmly and, when we asked to stow our luggage because we were 5 hours early for check-in, he informed us that our room was ready and we could take our luggage right on up and -- get this -- come back down and enjoy the complimentary breakfast. We certainly didn't expect to enjoy breakfast two mornings when staying only one night! What a sweet gesture. And the breakfast is *good* too. Beyond the usual continental breakfast setup, you can also order a sandwich or croissant or some tasty little quiche bites. All accompanied by endless Keurig. We loved settling into the swanky digs. The decor is sassy and edgy, all while providing top-notch facilities and a super comfortable bed. Also, because 31 others were joining us on the cruise, we'd had wedding cruise T-shirts printed and shipped to the hotel in advance of our arrival. The way Joey cared for that shipment, and presented it to us after we got settled in, was above and beyond. I know they were in a corrugated shipping box, but in my memory Joey presented them on a silver platter. That's the kind of impression he made when we had the pleasure of meeting him. The rooms and facilities are fun and smart and kitschy and clean and well-cared-for. But honestly the bright star of Hotel Gaythering is the staff. We can't wait to return!

This was my fourth stay at this property. I sent in a request to have my room on the top floor. Right away I received an email from the general manager Matt saying my request was put in the system. When I arrived at The hotel early at 11: 00am the general manager Matt had my room ready for me and it was on the top floor and the view was incredible overlooking Biscayne Bay. This hotel is at the very end of Lincoln road by Biscayne Bay away from the tourist area and easy walking distance to restaurants on Lincoln road and to the beach. The general manager Matt and his staff are doing an incredible job. This hotel is a slice of paradise with five star service at an amazing price.

Perfect stay - thoughtful, relaxing, and spotless!! I had a great time! The hotel was super clean and felt very safe. Every detail was thoughtfully considered—even a unique first aid kit. The bar was excellent, and the bathhouse was the perfect place to unwind. Loved the bathrooms with bidets. Truly a flawless stay from start to finish.

The hotel itself is nice, but be aware: as of Labor Day weekend 2025, the main AC unit is not operational. Rooms—especially on the third floor—get hot. I had a studio king and it was hot towards the back. The hotel provides portable AC units in each room, which help somewhat but don’t fully cool the space. Considering this, the high resort fee feels unreasonable since it doesn’t reflect the reduced comfort. Parking is $30 per day on top of the daily hotel fee. A discount here would be more fair with the hotel fee, On the positive side, the staff is wonderful—very friendly and accommodating. The hotel offers bicycle for free, which is a fun way to explore the area. Breakfast is average: you can grab an egg sandwich, fruit, and coffee, but don’t expect anything extraordinary. The sauna is quite small compared to traditional bathhouses, but you can still enjoy it if you go at the right time.

The Gaythering was dealing with an A/C issue during my stay prior to a large Atlantis sailing from Miami. They were very up front with all of the issues and made as much right as possible - with excellent warm service and very courteous staff. While the A/C units were a challenge for me due to sound, the rooms were as comfortable as possible. I chose a standard room and had stayed in the 'crates' before and it was a large upgrade. I also had more time to explore Miami. This location has an excellent location adjacent to Lincoln Avenue, as well as a Trader Joe's within walking distance that I used to stock a minifridge up with healthy snacks. It's a great place to use as a base of travel. The Gaythering itself also functions as a bar where the locals gather, and it's delightfully campy, if not a bit over the top - but if you're game (gayme?) for it and don't take it too seriously it's a wonderful place to chill before heading out to sea or your next destination. The sauna was very useful for its intended purpose (cough cough) and down to earth - very little attitude, which is a huge difference from other 'saunas' I've been to.

Enjoyed my stay here. Staff were great. Loved the drinks at the bar. Sauna, a plus. Close and convenient. If you stay here, check out Joliet as well. Really good food. Oh, and treat yourself with a massage from one of their resident therapists. Only issue is it can get pretty loud at the bar, especially on a Friday night. But I wouldn't mind staying again in the near future. Woot!

The way Joey cared for that shipment, and presented it to us after we got settled in, was above and beyond. I know they were in a corrugated shipping box, but in my memory Joey presented them on a silver platter. That's the kind of impression he made when we had the pleasure of meeting him. The rooms and facilities are fun and smart and kitschy and clean and well-cared-for. But honestly the bright star of Hotel Gaythering is the staff. We can't wait to return!

when we checked in and went to the room, it was not clean as there was dust around the bedframe, but worse there were paint chips all over the bathroom floor. The front desk person did not take it seriously and his English was poor so it took a while for him to even understand the problem. Fortunately, the manager came about 30 minutes later and when he came up to the room, he felt badly and moved us to a nicer room, which was fine and clean. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night and we wasted an hour just trying to get into a clean room. The manager also advised me that he was going to do something for us regarding the rate and he did not, and when we checked out in the morning, I told the man at the desk that the manager had said he would give us a reduced rate and a refund and it is now the next day and we have heard nothing. Also, the whole street is under construction and it was very inconvenient for us and messy. We understand the construction needs to be done, but if he had known that we would not have stayed there. We also chose the hotel because it had a sauna which turned out to be a dry sauna not a steam room which we were looking forward to and it had a small Hot Tub. One of the reasons we booked the hotel, which is pretty far from the beach was for these amenities which we never use. We paid way too much for the room, considering these problems and are not happy. We had luggage with us as we had been traveling around, and no one offered to help us

I've been staying here for two weeks and will most likely extend again. It's a truly unique property with an amazing location in Miami Beach. Everything is within walking distance: clubs, restaurants, shopping, you name it. Yet it sits on a quiet street with a beautiful view of Miami Beach, so you get the best of both worlds. It feels like staying at home. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and everything you need is right there. The staff are incredibly helpful and go out of their way to accommodate any request. Highly recommend, and I'm already looking forward to the rest of my stay. One heads-up: valet closes at 11 PM, so plan accordingly if you're out late. For the price, though, the value is excellent. Highly recommend.
