Nice quiet room with the bonus of a hand held shower head in the ensuite (as well as fixed head if that is what you like). Staff were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking space. Good breakfast. We attended a private dinner party in the library one evening and we also had an excellent meal in their own restaurant the following evening.

Staff were very good and helpful. Good breakfasts and great to have server come and take orders for a freshly cooked breakfast. It was very convenient to the P & J Live venue where the event we were going to was held. Nice bar and prices reasonable

Customer service was excellent and good availability of car parking. Close proximity to the P&J arena. From the photos on the website I thought the rooms might be a bit outdated but on arrival it actually had a cosy and welcoming feel about it. Room was comfortable and heating was on when we arrived which was really appreciated as it was a cold evening. Room was clean and facilities were great. Bathroom was spotless and towels were white and fluffy. Plenty of tea and coffee and even some hot chocolate and biscuits. Great value for money and exceeded our expectations. Would be happy to return again.

Great stay for Michael Macintyre. Ideal location with just a 10 minute walk away. Free parking also. Comfortable room although a bit dated, but didn’t take away from the stay. Good nights sleep dispute a couple of planes from the airport. Very good breakfast and plenty choice. Large Scottish cooked breakfast and a full contintial with fresh baked and fruit. Will return if at another event and the P&J or at the airport.

Great variety at breakfast. Choice of continental buffet, including overnight oats. Then, as part of the B&B deal, could also get a hot breakfast as well. Bar cosy, with a lovely open fire. Seems a popular local venue for functions. Staff cheerful and helpful despite the hotel being full and functions on. Note, no lift so be prepared to carry bags up stairs. Rooms very warm but windows do open. Area is quiet apart from the planes. They were noisy if your window is open. Bathrooms look like they have been upgraded recently and are lovely. Rooms are a little tired though have all essentials. Bed was a little hard. However, taking all this into account, I would definitely stay again. Good value for money. 10 minute dawdle up to P&J. Free parking as well.

Easy and free parking, plenty of spaces. The hotel has a rustic feel and is clean with very friendly staff and the food is excellent. Rooms are nice, yes you do here aircraft but once the airport closes it’s a very quiet area. There are some nice walks nearby too.

Booked last minute to stay after spending a belated Christmas Day with family. Arrived after midnight and was taken to my room, got ready for bed and the bathroom fan wouldn’t go off, contacted reception and the night porter came and it still wouldn’t go off so he agreed to move me, he tried two rooms on the same floor both fans were on and loud. I was moved to a fourth room which luckily had a switch to turn the fan off but the radiator in the bathroom and next to the bed was extremely loud, turned both off and went to sleep. Woke up at 6am to a freezing room, turned the radiator back on and got no further sleep as it was so loud. In the morning went to use the shower and found bits of hair on the bathroom floor. Spoke to the manager before leaving who apologised and said to contact hotels.com for a refund; which I did when I got home. They phoned the hotel who stated there was no issue with the fan or radiator and refused a refund, I spoke to another manager who was insistent that there was no issue (if there was no issue why would I be moved to 4 rooms in the middle of the night and give myself the stress of complaining) so the refund was denied. She also made a comment re the price that I paid which was lower than other guests, on the day I booked this wasn’t the cheapest hotel in Aberdeen but was chosen for location and regardless of what you pay, you still expect to get a decent nights sleep in the hotel you are paying to use. Only positive was the breakfast.

This hotel was ok, although the staff could have been more attentive. The food options for dinner were great, and I did find that service better than the hotel in general. The room was quite small and the 'wet room' concept never works well!

Staff were very friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is ideally located as a base for touring or for the airport. I personally found the noise of the aeroplanes too loud as the room shook at times when they went past and that is the only reason I would not personally stay here again. The room was comfortable and spacious ...bathroom modern but the bedroom itself slightly dated. Was clean and tidy throughout. The car park is free which is always a bonus in Aberdeen. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful with requests. The room we had was small, and the bed was also small. Everything is kind of old and needs an update. The bathroom was awful as the shower was basically over the toilet and everything was soaked by the time you finished showering (toilet, vanity, floor). The bathroom was basically never dry, and if I showered that day and I could not use the toilet in socks because it's basically just a big puddle all the time.

Unfortunately the room was very small even although a standard double booked we would have said it was an economy double at best, net curtain hanging down, very very dark room with inadequate lighting (no overhead light) would be much better to decorate such a small room in lighter colours to try and at least create the illusion of space, instead it felt like a dungeon. Carpeting not vacuumed, worst of all the bed mattress was well past reasonable use, could feel all the springs and when you sat on it, it practically dipped down to the base, and very squeaky. We both ended up with back pain from such a poor night. The whole “wet room” concept in a tiny bathroom doesn’t work, everything ends up soaked. Breakfast continental was limited, milk on tables had been sat out for hours and was warm (we breakfasted at 8.30), scrambled eggs were like rubber and devoid of any seasoning. All in all couldn’t recommend unless it was in a different room and they up the housekeeping standard. No one asked on check out whether we had had a pleasant stay, missing the opportunity of us being able to pass this on to them directly.

All in all couldn’t recommend unless it was in a different room and they up the housekeeping standard. No one asked on check out whether we had had a pleasant stay, missing the opportunity of us being able to pass this on to them directly.

Nice quiet room with the bonus of a hand held shower head in the ensuite (as well as fixed head if that is what you like). Staff were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking space. Good breakfast. We attended a private dinner party in the library one evening and we also had an excellent meal in their own restaurant the following evening.

The bar and restaurant looked great and enjoyed spending time there. The location of the hotel for P&J was brilliant. Sadly they changed our check out time from noon to 10.30am on our day of departure due to the number of new guests arriving, even though I booked well in advance of my stay. We were not informed of this until we arrived. Having recently been really ill I had purposely booked a hotel I didn’t need to rush out of in the morning and that I could use my room before needing to leave for my train. Being told that they would store my luggage and I could sit in the bar was not what I had paid for.
The bar and restaurant looked great and enjoyed spending time there. The location of the hotel for P&J was brilliant. Staff were very friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is ideally located as a base for touring or for the airport. I personally found the noise of the aeroplanes too loud as the room shook at times when they went past and that is the only reason I would not personally stay here again. The room was comfortable and spacious ...bathroom modern but the bedroom itself slightly dated. Was clean and tidy throughout. The car park is free which is always a bonus in Aberdeen. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

Booked last minute to stay after spending a belated Christmas Day with family. Arrived after midnight and was taken to my room, got ready for bed and the bathroom fan wouldn’t go off, contacted reception and the night porter came and it still wouldn’t go off so he agreed to move me, he tried two rooms on the same floor both fans were on and loud. I was moved to a fourth room which luckily had a switch to turn the fan off but the radiator in the bathroom and next to the bed was extremely loud, turned both off and went to sleep. Woke up at 6am to a freezing room, turned the radiator back on and got no further sleep as it was so loud. In the morning went to use the shower and found bits of hair on the bathroom floor. Spoke to the manager before leaving who apologised and said to contact hotels.com for a refund; which I did when I got home. They phoned the hotel who stated there was no issue with the fan or radiator and refused a refund, I spoke to another manager who was insistent that there was no issue (if there was no issue why would I be moved to 4 rooms in the middle of the night and give myself the stress of complaining) so the refund was denied. She also made a comment re the price that I paid which was lower than other guests, on the day I booked this wasn’t the cheapest hotel in Aberdeen but was chosen for location and regardless of what you pay, you still expect to get a decent nights sleep in the hotel you are paying to use. Only positive was the breakfast.

Customer service was excellent and good availability of car parking. Close proximity to the P&J arena. From the photos on the website I thought the rooms might be a bit outdated but on arrival it actually had a cosy and welcoming feel about it. Room was comfortable and heating was on when we arrived which was really appreciated as it was a cold evening. Room was clean and facilities were great. Bathroom was spotless and towels were white and fluffy. Plenty of tea and coffee and even some hot chocolate and biscuits. Great value for money and exceeded our expectations. Would be happy to return again.

Great variety at breakfast. Choice of continental buffet, including overnight oats. Then, as part of the B&B deal, could also get a hot breakfast as well. Bar cosy, with a lovely open fire. Seems a popular local venue for functions. Staff cheerful and helpful despite the hotel being full and functions on. Note, no lift so be prepared to carry bags up stairs. Rooms very warm but windows do open. Area is quiet apart from the planes. They were noisy if your window is open. Bathrooms look like they have been upgraded recently and are lovely. Rooms are a little tired though have all essentials. Bed was a little hard. However, taking all this into account, I would definitely stay again. Good value for money. 10 minute dawdle up to P&J. Free parking as well.

Well presented hotel tucked away in a quiet street. Yes a bit of noise from airport but nothing to get excited about. Rooms are nice and clean and a good size. Plenty of parking spaces. Local bus routes in easy reach with Dyce railway station a few minutes away. Access to a nice walk around the exhibition centre.
