Driving down the street was not promising, small homes, a mobile park, an auto shop. But the place itself was fine. The owner/manager was at the desk and very friendly. He managed to establish personal contact, not just handling a check in. The room was great. It was more square than the typical motel room which is more rectangular and dominated by the bed. The floor was some sort of composition and looked much cleaner than carpeting. Everything in the room was clean and there was no smell. The design and furnishings were fairly minimalist, but did the job. A desk and small office chair, another chair which proved very comfortable for sitting and reading. The bed was firm. In the back a refrigerator, microwave, coffe maker and sink. Bathroom had tub with shower and toilet. It's a long time since I stayed in a cheap hotel and didn't feel there was one short coming.

Owner was super helpful and knowledgeable about the area … loved that I could park right at my door … room was very clean , quiet and had a great shower I would recommend this Motel to others and definitely will stay here again if I am in the area : )

The hotel room was very clean and had recently been remodeled. The bathroom sink area was a little crowded with the refrigerator µwave along with an coffee maker also in this area. Breakfast was included but options were somewhat limited although they had a range from waffles to oatmeal & fruit. The hotel building is an older one story building with remodeled room and fast cooling AC and nice updated electrical outlets.

I loved this place, the moment I checked in I knew i pick the right place for me and my dog to stay. the room was large, the grounds and room very clean. it is a older place but kept up VERY well. My go to place when ever I'm down there.

Overall the hotel was quite good for the budget minded traveler at about 1/2 the price of the bigger hotel chains in the area. It is an older bungalow type setting so you basically enter the room from outside. Amenities were as stated with TV, fridge and microwave. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

All was good, and a good value for the money. The EV charging was a selling point, though only a J1772 type connector. There was only one charger and the owner's wife's car was always in the spot, even when it was fully charged. We had to ask the front desk to move the car every time we needed to use the charger during the two days we were there. We forgot to ask that our room not be cleaned on the second day and there was no 'do not disturb' door hanger to display and they cleaned the room without asking them to do so - nice touch.

Everything was perfect. Staff great(they even make your morning coffee and breakfast waffle), parking is very convenient. Just what you need when you don't need to pay for any extras like exercise room or swimming pool.

Clean and spotless room; family-run business for 44 years; attention to detail; kindness of all staff; rooms refurbished in 2023. This is an excellent establishment, and is the oldest hotel in Turlock. It is quiet and extremely comfortable. The breakfast choices are waffles with maple syrup, oatmeal, apples, cereal and excellent coffee.

This is an excellent establishment, and is the oldest hotel in Turlock. It is quiet and extremely comfortable. I don’t know how long it was since the room as last occupied before I got there, but if I wasn’t so tired I would’ve found another place. 30 minutes after I checked in I had to kill 3 flies, in addition to the three dead ones I found on the window sill! I was taking a shower and I dropped the soap, and it cracked in half in the tub! Not once has that evwr happened to me! Also one of the pillows smelled musty like it hadn’t been washed in forever. I don’t know where all the good reviews came from but I know for sure they’re not accurate. When I was checking out and I told the receptionist about the problems she was completely unsympathetic. Never again.

Super clean. My only complaint would be the noise of children riding their scooters on the sidewalk late at night. Not sure whose kids there were, but I wish I could have found their parents. Otherwise, don’t be fooled by the outside of the hotel. It’s super awesome inside.

Dogs barked in the next room nonstop, and the final straw was The last night the same people had someone beating on the door threatening the guy for like 20 min when I had an issue with this the owner said we knew about it and that's it and was not worried about our comfort or the fact that we gave them top dollar for a run down hotel because it was convenient for us at the time. I'll never let convenience determine where we stay again

We thought the room had an unpleasant smell, but that went away after opening the window and putting on the AC. The refrigerator did not work. It is close to train tracks, so noise from train rumbling by and train horn. As I love trains, that did not bother me, but be forewarned if it bothers you.

Owner was super helpful and knowledgeable about the area … loved that I could park right at my door … room was very clean , quiet and had a great shower I would recommend this Motel to others and definitely will stay here again if I am in the area : )

I don’t know how long it was since the room as last occupied before I got there, but if I wasn’t so tired I would’ve found another place. 30 minutes after I checked in I had to kill 3 flies, in addition to the three dead ones I found on the window sill! I was taking a shower and I dropped the soap, and it cracked in half in the tub! Not once has that evwr happened to me! Also one of the pillows smelled musty like it hadn’t been washed in forever. I don’t know where all the good reviews came from but I know for sure they’re not accurate. When I was checking out and I told the receptionist about the problems she was completely unsympathetic. Never again.

I received good old fashioned customer service! If you want to stay where you are offered a nice, comfortable & clean stay, with nice toiletries this is the place. The rooms are not huge but very sufficient! How do you know how big the room is with your eyes closed anyway? The rates were reasonable. It was close to the university and plenty of restaurants, fast food and shopping nearby. Nice breakfast and they even make your waffles for you to perfection! I would like to say these people are very accommodating. I have ABSOLUTELY NO complaints! I asked for extra towels and without question they were right there! They were a little thin but I easily overlooked it! They accommodated us with a couple extra so what difference did it make! I forgot my phone charger and they even supplied me with one. Such friendly staff! Swell owner! I give them an A Thank you all for making my stay pleasurable and If I'm ever in Turlock again I will be sure to stay there!

This was one of the easiest check ins ever!! The owners are very nice , the staff is great and the room is SUPER CLEAN!! We will definitely recommend this hotel and DEFINITELY stay here next time we are in this area!!

Was booked for a 2 night stay but ended up leaving after one night . Neighbor unsafe , a homeless person accidentally scratched the side of my car with their cart while my vehicle was parked in the parking lot . The guest next to my room were noisy all night long , arguing and going in and out to walk their dog plus they stood outside their door smoking , the smoke made its way into my room . I will never stay there again or recommend the Turlock Inn to anybody.

Driving down the street was not promising, small homes, a mobile park, an auto shop. But the place itself was fine. The owner/manager was at the desk and very friendly. He managed to establish personal contact, not just handling a check in. The room was great. It was more square than the typical motel room which is more rectangular and dominated by the bed. The floor was some sort of composition and looked much cleaner than carpeting. Everything in the room was clean and there was no smell. The design and furnishings were fairly minimalist, but did the job. A desk and small office chair, another chair which proved very comfortable for sitting and reading. The bed was firm. In the back a refrigerator, microwave, coffe maker and sink. Bathroom had tub with shower and toilet. It's a long time since I stayed in a cheap hotel and didn't feel there was one short coming.

We needed a place to stay for 1 night during our road trip. The location was convenient and easy to find. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful...they even have a cute little dog that greats you. We were missing our dog so it really made us happy. The hotel is older and could use some fixing up/upgrading...little stuff like new towels would be really nice. Everything was clean and our bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast and were on our way. Easy, enjoyable stop.

The accessible room we were in was still under construction. The bed was Very firm. My only complaint is hubby and I need a larger bed, We are larger people. Made for a rough sleep but I did pick hotel. It was a minute and a half from the fairgrounds where I need to be anyway. The management was wonderful.

We thought the room had an unpleasant smell, but that went away after opening the window and putting on the AC. The refrigerator did not work. It is close to train tracks, so noise from train rumbling by and train horn. As I love trains, that did not bother me, but be forewarned if it bothers you.

Clean and spotless room; family-run business for 44 years; attention to detail; kindness of all staff; rooms refurbished in 2023. This is an excellent establishment, and is the oldest hotel in Turlock. It is quiet and extremely comfortable. The breakfast choices are waffles with maple syrup, oatmeal, apples, cereal and excellent coffee.

The hotel room was very clean and had recently been remodeled. The bathroom sink area was a little crowded with the refrigerator µwave along with an coffee maker also in this area. Breakfast was included but options were somewhat limited although they had a range from waffles to oatmeal & fruit. The hotel building is an older one story building with remodeled room and fast cooling AC and nice updated electrical outlets.

All in all is great compare to the other motels we’ve stayed since last year. But the only thing is that breakfast could improve a little more than just cereal and coffee. Maybe we went to breakfast a little early but that was all there was. Other than that, I was very satisfied with my stay. The customer service was great as well. I didn’t get her name but she was so awesome, made me feel welcome and comfortable.

Everything was perfect. Staff great(they even make your morning coffee and breakfast waffle), parking is very convenient. Just what you need when you don't need to pay for any extras like exercise room or swimming pool.

This was a perfect little spot for me to spend one night since I was in town for a show at the Turlock Community Theater. It was going to be too late to drive back to the Bay Area. All I wanted was a clean, reasonably priced, comfortable room for the night, and I certainly got that and more. The room was well appointed with mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer, ironing board, everything I needed to spend a comfortable night and get well rested for the drive home. I had brought my own food so didn’t try the hotel breakfast, but I saw that it would have been self-serve continental centered on waffles (batter dispenser and waffle maker) and coffee.

So the lady at the front desk was lovely, very friendly and helpful. I did have some issues with the room, however, more so the bathroom. First of all the toilet when flushed was like a jet taking off, it was so loud every time I flushed it, even though I knew what was coming, startled me terribly. The towels for the shower were small and there weren’t very many of them. The shower was the biggest issue, first of all in order to take a shower. You had to also let the bathwater run so while you’re taking a shower, the water is filling up and you’re standing there and standing water which I hated. Also, it took the water a long time to get warm and it never got actually hot. Other than that everything was fine but those issues were pretty big ones for us.
