Excellent stay! I stayed here many times when the property was Emblem Flow before changing names. Nothing has really changed. Great staff - very friendly and welcoming. Nice restaurant and bar with a wonderful breakfast. Also appreciated the small onsen area. I highly recommend if you're looking for an affordable stay in Gora.

I stayed here for one night with my wife. It’s right next to Gora station so very convenient. It was clean and modern and had a great little onsen too. The staff were brilliant - very happy to help. There was a good breakfast included with the room. I would definitely recommend.

Property was clean and the room was very large. Breakfast was also nice and had some variety. Using the Gora underpass we arrived to our hotel in 2 minutes walking from the station. The onsen wasn't working due to heavy rain. We were sent to another hotel to use their onsen about a 6-7 min walk away but it did subtract from the experience. I understand nature is out of our hands but I feel like the hotel could have offered something out of the minibar complimentary due to the inconvenience of it.

Modern hotel with a minimalist industrial vibe. Nice rooms all well equipped. Private onsen is a great addition. Location right by the station. Best feature is the staff who are super friendly and very helpful. And the food is excellent. Would really recommend.

Più che un ostello un hotel vero e proprio con tutti i servizi annessi. La nostra camera era spaziosa (considerando il Giappone) e con servizi. Onsen molto bello, inoltre è una struttura tattoo friendly! Colazione ottima, abbiamo anche cenato, cena ok. Posizione strategica ad 1 minuto (tramite sottopasso con una 15ina di gradini) dalla stazione di Gora.
Più che un ostello un hotel vero e proprio con tutti i servizi annessi. La nostra camera era spaziosa (considerando il Giappone) e con servizi. Onsen molto bello, inoltre è una struttura tattoo friendly! Colazione ottima, abbiamo anche cenato, cena ok. Posizione strategica ad 1 minuto (tramite sottopasso con una 15ina di gradini) dalla stazione di Gora.

A great, affordable hotel right by Gora station - perfect location for exploring Hakone. We opted for a private room which was lovely and comfortable. The onsen facilities are only open to guests and while small are very pleasant, and the number of people is limited at any one time. Even the snacks and drinks in the minibar were very reasonably priced and locally sourced. Thoroughly recommended!

Pros: Extremely close to Gora station. Exit the station and take the short underpass. Our stay booked through Expedia included breakfast which was pretty good. The egg cup dish was kind of weird. It tasted like leftover Costco lasagna slurry. Staff all spoke very good English and very helpful with bus directions. In room snacks and minibar has very good variety and well priced. Cons: The carpet in the guest room was very old and stained, and smelled a bit. Could really be replaced, ideally by hardwood floors.

What a great stay!! We travelled with our two teenage boys and I wasn’t sure how the hostel would be for us but our quadruple room was amazing. Kids loved the bunk beds. The traditional onsen was fabulous and I used every day. Super close to train/ cable car and the breakfast was very helpful each morning. The review would not be complete without mentioning the amazing staff. They were all so helpful and patient. Went out of their way to help us with dinner recommendations and directions. So friendly and professional. We loved our stay.

We had a great stay here, the room was large. The meals with our package were very good. Particularly the dinner, It was delicious. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The only negatives for us were the beds are very firm. I would also suggest that you book a top floor room as the second floor gets a lot of noise from above, you can hear every footstep as people walk around

The staff were very helpful, the room was very pleasant and larger than expected. The position was great - close to the train and cable car and easy to walk to many of the sights. We had booked for breakfast, which was a little odd for Westerners but OK. Dinner was good, particularly the a la carte menu.

What a great stay!! We travelled with our two teenage boys and I wasn’t sure how the hostel would be for us but our quadruple room was amazing. Kids loved the bunk beds. The traditional onsen was fabulous and I used every day. Super close to train/ cable car and the breakfast was very helpful each morning. The review would not be complete without mentioning the amazing staff. They were all so helpful and patient. Went out of their way to help us with dinner recommendations and directions. So friendly and professional. We loved our stay.

Highly recommend this great hotel in Hakone. Its minutes walk from the station & bus stop, providing amazing access to the Hakone sights. Room was huge, clean & the staff were incredibly welcoming.

Modern hotel with a minimalist industrial vibe. Nice rooms all well equipped. Private onsen is a great addition. Location right by the station. Best feature is the staff who are super friendly and very helpful. And the food is excellent. Would really recommend.

The train station is right infront of the hostel, it is very convenient if you need a cable car or train ride. The staffs are helpful and nice. Hostel are very clean and quiet too.

I stayed for two days. The first day was great overall, but on the second day, the front desk staff had a poor attitude, secretly showing disdain as if looking down on people. Even though she saw us wanting to pick up our luggage, she ignored us and walked away. It was truly frustrating.

Such a lovely place with great design, friendly staff and convenient location. Literally next to train station and cable car to go up mountain. If having large luggage, please note you need to walk down and up a few stairs to get to hostel via a small tunnel next to Gora station. I enjoyed my stay totally, only wish to stay longer to explore the Gora town more. Staff all speak English and super friendly, always happy to offer help.

Thank you for a good stay. The breakfast option at the hotel was nice since the area doesn’t have too many dining places (that’s just Hakone for you). But the location was pretty good and the hotel had everything we needed for the most part for the two nights we stayed. I would recommend to others or come back myself. Thank you.

Everything at this hotel was wonderful. Location of the hotel was right beside Gora Station and bus station to you to Gotemba Premium Outlets. Staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Highly recommend staying here if you are doing the Hakone Loop.

Hakone-Gora is a quiet area near the base of the cable cars taking you up for a My Fuji view. There are a few eateries and bars but not much else, and the eateries close early. As such it is great if you want a relaxing night and the Emblem Flow has great Japanese style rooms and a terrific Onsen, Also looks to be a good base for walking in the area. We loved it after the bustle of Tokyo.

Fantastic hostel. We were a family of 4 (all adults) in one room. Bunks were great, spacious floor space, Onsen was nice bonus. Fantastic staff. Breakfast recommended. Can’t beat this location. Great point to stay at to experience that Hakone area on the free pass. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Excellent stay! I stayed here many times when the property was Emblem Flow before changing names. Nothing has really changed. Great staff - very friendly and welcoming. La gare ne peut pas être plus près, très pratique. Le onsen de l’hôtel s’est avéré une belle expérience. Avec son maximum de 6 personnes à la fois , cela rend l’expérience intimiste et relaxante. Nous avons grandement apprécié le petit déjeuner varié et en abondance. L’établissement offre pour le soir un dîner à la carte délicieux. Peu de choix mais tout de même une belle expérience .

The staff were very helpful, the room was very pleasant and larger than expected. The position was great - close to the train and cable car and easy to walk to many of the sights. We had booked for breakfast, which was a little odd for Westerners but OK. Dinner was good, particularly the a la carte menu.

Very beautiful hostel for family of 4. Perfect location to do the Hakone loop early in the morning. The breakfast was very good, and not too asian for western travelers. Honestly, the best breakfast so far. We also decided to have dinner there as there is n’y many options around. The price was reasonable for the location and we loved the food.
