We loved the location right on the beach (you will need to drive to nearby facilities). House was a perfect layout for our family structure with sections separated to allow for children sleeping. Master in one area, two rooms with bathroom in other and two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs - perfect.The property is starting to date and a few safety issues such as top balcony is an accident waiting to happen with gaps to balustrade; especially for young children or even a mildly drunk adult :). We had some cockroach issues and damp smell in downstairs area. Check in and out was a simple process and good communication throughout. We were disappointed that for a premium property we were not allowed to have a local couple join us for a meal one day as we were at guest limit - totally appreciate the no party factor but a three generation family group who asks permission for a simple meal with friends was a disappointing outcome.Bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch but provision of coffee pod machine but no capsules was a small price oversight to make a good stay more memorable (people tend to remember the little things unfortunately). Overall we would recommend this property for a family or friends group but there are some things that could be addressed to bring the property up to the premium quality it is hoping for. Parking was excellent for 5-6 cars easily.

Very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful house that is right on the beach. It has everything you need for a beautiful vacation. Our only negative was that it is not really suitable for small children. The handrail to the second storey verandah is very dangerous with big gaps around the bottom and corners. Would definitely stay there again in an adult group.

There are signs of structural and water damage surfacing in numerous places. Almost every tile has fallen off the balcony edge. The concrete and timber outdoor furniture looks great but they are too heavy to be safe. We note someone has tried to move the table downstairs and only managed to bend the table leg. It won't take much for that to collapse and if someone is sitting there they would be badly injured. A number of switches/dimmers need replacing. The shower head in the main bed ensuite is worse than a prison shower. Other shower doors fail to keep the water in and the bathroom floor just becomes saturated. After very detailed instructions about which coffee pods to buy, because they weren't provided, there was no coffee machine. The bottle of wine was a nice thought but providing coffee pods would have been better. BYO coffee pods is what you expect from a budget motel. I note it's been brought to your attention a number of times in reviews that the balcony balustrade is dangerous, which it is. Particularly for small children. The certifier, the owner and the managers are taking a big risk by claiming it is compliant. It is not. Not even close.Despite the maintenance issues we would stay there again. The criticism we do have is there would have been a few supplies that could have been added that wouldn’t have been expensive but made all the difference to getting our stay underway (paper towel, toilet paper, butter, a bottle of milk and olive oil), this would have avoided the need for us to get to the shops as soon as we arrived.

We had a great few day's away here with family to celebrate my Mum's 70th birthday. The house was beautiful and we loved being able to look at the water everyday. There's plenty to do and see if you have the time. Plenty of shops close by, Salamander Bay Square is great and has everything you need. I needed help a few times and contacting someone was very easy, they were polite and able to help. We look forward to staying here again

We felt like we were a part of the location whilst still having multiple private living spaces . The outdoor balcony just added to this feeling . Boat Harbour itself is the best of shoal bay and one mile beach combined. Clean clear water , amazing scenery, small waves to keep it engaging and beautiful sand . All this and only 15 minutes from major retailers.

The property is immaculate and in a perfect spot with private beach access, we spotted some whales from the balcony and enjoyed some meals out at Shoal Bay and Bob's Farm, we will visit again!

SAILS IS IN AN IDEAL LOCATION OVERLOOKING A SMALL BEACH WITH WALKS EASILY ACCESSIBLE. IT IS PROBABLY NOT SUITABLE IF YOU WANT TO BE IN AMONGST THE NIGHTLIFE. SALAMANDER AND NELSON BAY ARE BOTH ABOUT 12 MIN AWAY. THIS PROPERTY IS IDEAL FOR TWO FAMILY GROUPS. WE WERE VERY COMFORTABLE WITH OUR FOUR FAMILIES.

Property info needs to be updated to give the specific model because there are two types at the supermarket. Very frustrating and a waste of money as I purchased the wrong ones. But the house is lovely the beds and pillows were very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.

We loved the location right on the beach (you will need to drive to nearby facilities). House was a perfect layout for our family structure with sections separated to allow for children sleeping. Master in one area, two rooms with bathroom in other and two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs - perfect.The property is starting to date and a few safety issues such as top balcony is an accident waiting to happen with gaps to balustrade; especially for young children or even a mildly drunk adult :). We had some cockroach issues and damp smell in downstairs area. Check in and out was a simple process and good communication throughout. We were disappointed that for a premium property we were not allowed to have a local couple join us for a meal one day as we were at guest limit - totally appreciate the no party factor but a three generation family group who asks permission for a simple meal with friends was a disappointing outcome.Bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch but provision of coffee pod machine but no capsules was a small price oversight to make a good stay more memorable (people tend to remember the little things unfortunately). Overall we would recommend this property for a family or friends group but there are some things that could be addressed to bring the property up to the premium quality it is hoping for. Parking was excellent for 5-6 cars easily.

The managers were very helpful and communication was excellent.The house itself has some safety and maintenance issues that should be addressed. The kitchen was missing a whole drawer and all the utensils were just thrown in the drawer below meaning you had to rummage through a pile of utensils and hope you didn't find a knife you weren't expecting. The whole kitchen is past its best and should be replaced. We adjusted a few cupboards for you and cleaned the marks off but that won't last for long. There are signs of structural and water damage surfacing in numerous places. Almost every tile has fallen off the balcony edge. The concrete and timber outdoor furniture looks great but they are too heavy to be safe. We note someone has tried to move the table downstairs and only managed to bend the table leg. It won't take much for that to collapse and if someone is sitting there they would be badly injured. A number of switches/dimmers need replacing. The shower head in the main bed ensuite is worse than a prison shower. Other shower doors fail to keep the water in and the bathroom floor just becomes saturated. After very detailed instructions about which coffee pods to buy, because they weren't provided, there was no coffee machine. The bottle of wine was a nice thought but providing coffee pods would have been better. BYO coffee pods is what you expect from a budget motel. I note it's been brought to your attention a number of times in reviews that the balcony balustrade is dangerous, which it is. Particularly for small children. The certifier, the owner and the managers are taking a big risk by claiming it is compliant. It is not. Not even close.Despite the maintenance issues we would stay there again.
