She gave us local information and useful tips for traveling around Vietnam, helped us to organise Ha Long Bay tour, Ninh Binh, Sapa, Hue, Da nang, Hoi An and Mekong Delta Trip. Our trip was seamless and very enjoyable. The hotel is clean with a contemporary touch, rooms are spacious with toiletries Weekends the roads are closed so scooters and cars are banned so walking is pleasant Breakfast is very good we couldn’t get enough of the fresh fruit

Even before we arrived in Vietnam we received a message from Zoey at the San saying hi and asking if there’s anything we needed and if we needed a taxi organised from the airport. When we arrived at the hotel we were met with a warm welcome. The hotel is in a great position, it’s clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. But the staff were exceptional. Big thank you to Zoey and Kylie for all their help. I wouldn’t even think of staying anywhere else if I came to Hanoi again.

Excellent service, propre. Déjeuner très bon, nous avons adoré. Situé dans un quartier avec un cachet, directement dans le vieux Hanoi, près de tout. Vient donc avec du bruit inévitablement qu’on entend de la chambre le soir et la nuit. Nous y retournerions Merci encore !

This hotel is has friendly staff, is clean and modern, and has a great breakfast. It is very centrally located and they have rooms with a balcony to allow you to relax but still enjoy watching all of the excitement of the Old Quarter. Great restaurants close by and a Night Market every weekend! We used it as a base to travel back and forth to Sapa and Halong Bay!

Vi fick absolut bästa service från början till slut! Hotellet ligger på en lugn gata mitt i gamla stan. Nära till allt. Sköna sängar, balkong och fantastisk frukost. Zoe hjälpte oss på ett mycket professionellt sätt med bokning av transfer och kryssning i Ha Long-bukten. Vi är så nöjda!

San Boutique Hotel was a great spot to stay during our visit to Hanoi. The location is great being on a quieter street just off the main roads around Hoan Kiem Lake, you can’t hear the horns, etc. nearly as much as other hotels we stayed at in Hanoi, but close enough we had a peek-a-boo view of the lake from our balcony. Ms. Zoey and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering the same quality, but a bit more of a personal touch to interactions compared to an earlier stay at the Sofitel Metropole. They shared some great recommendations for food and activities around the city. If you’re looking for cachet and history, stay at Sofitel Metropole, if you’re looking for value and to be treated like family, stay at San Boutique Hotel. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends looking for a place to stay in Hanoi’s old quarter! P.S. breakfast was delicious!

A two night stay in a triple room. Comfortable beds reasonable size with a balcony. Some hot water issues. Staff were great. Special mention for Cara, she is an absolute delight and made our stay a pleasure. Long, the doirman went above and beyond to assist. The hotel is very conveniently located but that does mean a little noise at night. Breakfast was very good.

Absolutely amazing! The hotel is very nice and in a perfect location. What really makes this place special are the people who work there. I’ve never felt so welcomed. They are so helpful and kind. Charlie got me setup on the most amazing tour and was available if I needed anything. Kylie took time out of her day to create a list of things to do and places to eat and walked me to an ATM on my first day. Jerry always greeted me with such enthusiasm and kindness carrying my bag for me up to my room and even bringing me some hot tea after a long day in the evening. Levi gave me a ride on his motorbike to help me make a spa appointment. Zoey always greeted me and asked about my day when I would come back from a day of exploring. The entire team at the San Hotel made me feel like a part of their family and I will always remember them! I can not thank them enough.

As a chef who has worked in many hotels in Australia over 30 years, I am so surprised by the Vietnamese hospitality. More than happy with the price. Better service and value at this hotel. Cara, the manager, only 22 years old, good English was particularly helpful. 5 stars for Cara. Will stay at this property when next in Hanoi. Thank you to all the staff. Great breakfast, Vietnamese food & western.

My four night stay at San Boutique Hotel was wonderful! The location was near the lake with many restaurants, shops and spas but on a quiet street. The front desk, door men and kitchen workers were all very helpful and kind. I was always greeted with a friendly smile as I passed through the lobby. I would stay there again and highly recommend this hotel.

Trong khu phố cổ, tại khu phố đi bộ. Phòng rất sạch sẽ, tôi có ban công. Nhân viên tiếp tân rất tốt. Cô ấy cung cấp cho tôi nhiều thông tin về hà nội và rất lịch sự. Yêu cầu phòng ở tầng cao hơn, vì tôi ở tầng 2 và hơi ồn ào từ ngoài đường. Nhưng nhìn chung đó là một kỳ nghỉ tuyệt vời, đặc biệt là với mức giá này.

Vi fick absolut bästa service från början till slut! Hotellet ligger på en lugn gata mitt i gamla stan. Nära till allt. Sköna sängar, balkong och fantastisk frukost. Zoe hjälpte oss på ett mycket professionellt sätt med bokning av transfer och kryssning i Ha Long-bukten. Vi är så nöjda!

Excellent service, propre. Déjeuner très bon, nous avons adoré. Situé dans un quartier avec un cachet, directement dans le vieux Hanoi, près de tout. Vient donc avec du bruit inévitablement qu’on entend de la chambre le soir et la nuit. Nous y retournerions Merci encore !

San Boutique Hotel was a great spot to stay during our visit to Hanoi. The location is great being on a quieter street just off the main roads around Hoan Kiem Lake, you can’t hear the horns, etc. nearly as much as other hotels we stayed at in Hanoi, but close enough we had a peek-a-boo view of the lake from our balcony. Ms. Zoey and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering the same quality, but a bit more of a personal touch to interactions compared to an earlier stay at the Sofitel Metropole. They shared some great recommendations for food and activities around the city. If you’re looking for cachet and history, stay at Sofitel Metropole, if you’re looking for value and to be treated like family, stay at San Boutique Hotel. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends looking for a place to stay in Hanoi’s old quarter! P.S. breakfast was delicious!

As a chef who has worked in many hotels in Australia over 30 years, I am so surprised by the Vietnamese hospitality. More than happy with the price. Better service and value at this hotel. Cara, the manager, only 22 years old, good English was particularly helpful. 5 stars for Cara. Will stay at this property when next in Hanoi. Thank you to all the staff. Great breakfast, Vietnamese food & western.

The stars of this hotel definitely are the staff members. Cara and the rest of the staff at the front desk do every reasonable thing to make your stay comfortable. Second best is the breakfast. There is a nice selection of food attractively presented. As is common across Asia, the beds are quite firm. The pillows here are excellent. Some people may complain that the photographs are apparently enhanced by AI, and that's not an unfair complaint. But the rest of that story is that every hotel against whom they are competing is enhancing their photographs. It would be impossible to compete using natural lighting and photographs that were untouched. Until there is a law that applies to all of them, it's probably not fair to pick on one of them.

I had a great experience at the San Boutique Hotel! The room was perfect for my needs. The breakfast was very good, and the staff was excellent and so helpful! They even kept my bags for me while I traveled outside of Hanoi and provided access to a shower after checking out. They are very accommodating and I would recommend staying here when in Hanoi!
