A newly renovated funky motor lodge. Rooms were fresh, clean and nicely decorated. The area outside is really sweet with fire pits, and grills and a hammock! So nice that you can prepare meals, and not have to eat out at a restaurant for every meal! Also, it is very close to an entrance to Acadia National Park so you can really avoid traffic if you want to. Loved it.

Great base for exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Parking outside the room. Fridge and coffee making facilities in the room. We appreciated the outdoor grill and picnic tables. We had no problem finding all day parking in Bar Harbor when we went on a couple of cruises but we were there early in the morning.

This is a great place to stay. It is close to the entrance to Acadia National Park. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and are decorated nicely, with a very cute retro mini fridge and microwave. I loved the wallpaper. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the shelves in the bathroom were an unexpected plus. Our only suggestion would be to add a shade on the bathroom window. It was very convenient to be able to park right outside of the room. The grounds are beautiful. We loved the outside sitting areas, the picnic table, thé grill, and the fire pit, even though we didn't have time to use them all. The entire property is exceptionally well organized. We highly recommend it.

We loved this property! The units were very clean and equipped well. Very close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. The huge outdoor patio had comfortable seating and a fire pit for guest to use. Also had another area for grilling with quality grills for guest use. Would definitely recommend this property and we would stay there again if we travel that way.

This is my third time staying here and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve stayed here twice during the summer and once during the fall. The rooms are super cozy. The room is always so clean and smells great. It’s close enough to downtown and Arcadia National Park. When in the room you can’t hear the traffic. Hanscom’s is definitely a diamond in the rough. I also have to say Isis who works at the property is always super nice and fast with responding if you email her.

Clean room! I love that I didn’t have to interact with anyone! They texted me directions on how to get into the room and all was great! Kitchenette was clean and stocked with pots/pans, plates/glasses, cutlery/serving utensils. I will stay here again!

Property is a little close to major traffic. Hot water for showers needs major maintenance. It’s time to change out two chairs for something comfortable. The staff was amazing. The outside seating areas were great (just had too much traffic noise.

Hot water was a bit slow to get. It’d take about 5 minutes for the hot water to even start when using the shower. Other than that, this property was very nice. Cute little cottages with everything you’d need for a hiking vacation. The owner was very responsive and nice. Great amenities on the property too which you don’t see in many other places. Will certainly book here again in the future if we return to Acadia.

The cottage was very cute and included all necessities that we needed in the kitchen. It was a 15-20 minute drive to the downtown area. There is a post office and gas station nearby. The property was very quiet. There was firewood, fire pits, and patio chairs for communal use. On the negative side, the shower and really low water pressure and the water didn’t get hot. After it ran for a long time, it ramped up to lukewarm and that’s as far as it got. While the bed was comfortable, it was super squeaky. Every time I rolled over, it protested.

Room so small that it felt cramped with our suitcases. On the plus side the shower was wonderful. Great water pressure, nice shower head and ultra hot water. Convenient location to Acadia. Not many outlets or lighting. Overall too small for me but otherwise it worked.

We had a pleasant 2 night stay at Hanscom's. Property is clean and the kitchen was great for preparing our lunches for the day before heading out to Acadia. Parking was convenient, wifi was adequate, and the AC worked well. At night, we were able to hear the noise of cars from the main road and a little bit of noise from our neighbors, but it wasn't bad and it didn't interfere with our sleep. Overall, this was a great stay. Totally recommended.

The unit was wonderful! Wasn’t given the door code so I had to call a number on the door at the office. However…it was handled quickly & professionally. A 60 second inconvenience. I will recommend this place!!

We really liked this cottage. It was only a couple miles from the park entrance but away from crowded Bar Harbor. Communications with the property manager was easy and all done by text. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great hotel, we would stay there again. The only suggestion would be to add a light at the entrance of the driveway - it's hard to see at night and the way the driveway is made there is a risk to hit the curb. Other than that it was great! Not right in Bar Harbor, so you have to pay for parking when you go to town, but it makes the hotel quieter :)

Great hotel, we would stay there again. The only suggestion would be to add a light at the entrance of the driveway - it's hard to see at night and the way the driveway is made there is a risk to hit the curb. Other than that it was great! Property is a little close to major traffic. Hot water for showers needs major maintenance. It’s time to change out two chairs for something comfortable. The staff was amazing. The outside seating areas were great (just had too much traffic noise.

Great base for exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Parking outside the room. Fridge and coffee making facilities in the room. We appreciated the outdoor grill and picnic tables. We had no problem finding all day parking in Bar Harbor when we went on a couple of cruises but we were there early in the morning.

We really liked this cottage. It was only a couple miles from the park entrance but away from crowded Bar Harbor. Communications with the property manager was easy and all done by text. I would highly recommend staying here.

This was a perfect place to stay in Bar Harbor. It's close to the Hulls Cove Visitor Center entrance, but outside of town so you're not inundated with the chaos. Bed was very comfy, plenty of dishes and pots & pans, and the firepit was well-stocked with wood & fire starters. Only ever saw staff midday when they were cleaning rooms, but didn't have any issues so not having a "receptionist " was fine. Biggest complaint: abysmal water pressure in the shower (although the water got plenty hot).

Very nice and charming small cottages to stay in. Convenient location to Acadia. Room was clean with comfortable bed, well organized kitchen area and clean bathroom. Couch was very comfortable and could be turned into to bed. Extra pillows and blankets helped. Outside area had many chairs with tall trees all around. The lock code was shared in a email and it made the check-in process seamless. Overall, a great experience - much better then staying in the chain hotels.
