Aqua Aire Inn & Suites

This is a small old school motel. Located right along Hwy 51 within 2 blocks of the downtown shopping area. Very clean and quiet. Owners are very receptive and prompt to any and all requests for additional supplies, ice etc. Not real fancy or terribly roomy but clean and well kept none-the-less. Parking right in front of the room and even though it is on the highway it was pretty quiet. Would recommend for stays in the future

This place is great!! So thoughtfully restored, access to lodge and sitting area is easily accessible, and the amenities are great. The lodge is an excellent sitting area with a large tv and kitchen amenities. Just awesome!!

The area behind the building was a special surprise. The sitting area was lovely, and watching wildlife on the water was peaceful and enjoyable.

Outside of the hotel didn’t look promising, but the inside of the room looked very updated and modern and clean, very close to Kurt’s island for bait if your on a ice fishing trip, right near the water, and within walking distance from the bars and restaurants downtown. Good tv channels and self check in/check out with door code.

Easy access getting into the room

Second time I’ve stayed there. Great value for someone just needing a clean comfortable room. No frills such as free breakfast or a pool. Just a nice room at a great price. I also like the convenience of a motel - just back up into your room’s parking stall for a quick unloading. Only downside is the rooms are smaller than other hotels in the area. However I’m not going to pay 50% more for some added space. I’ve already booked my room for my next visit to Minocqua.

We have stayed for one night. Check in and check out was quick and simple. We have had few questions for the staff, which were answered quickly and precisely. Room and bathroom were clean and bed was comfortable.

Modern, clean, organized, quiet. Only thing to criticize is the grout in the shower was moldy and behind the bed was dusty. Caulking was also due for a replacement. It was Memorial Day weekend in a resort town and so I understand the surprising cost.

I truly wish I could give this property review as the location and the cosmetics of everything are fantastic. We had a horrible smell in room three. I truly believe they tried to get rid of it, but at the end of the day, we are unable to spend time with our friends or ourselves in the room besides sleeping. I don’t know if there was something on the carpet or potentially a rodent into dead in the walls. We had booked a room because of the location again next year. We will be taking the $20 hit and canceling the room, unfortunately.

I knew the accommodations would be modest (motel), and I was only looking for a clean comfortable place just for sleep. It had been remodeled and had basic accommodations including a small refrigerator, hair dryer, hair products, coffee maker and tv. The room was very clean, the linen and pillows nice and comfortable. My main complaint was that the room smelled of vomit. As I said, the room was spotless and clean. I mentioned it to the housekeeping lady on the way out. She thought it might be due to a recent rug deep cleaning that has some residual odor. Regardless, it was very off putting.

The room had an awful smell when we entered, almost like puke. I actually considered just leaving and going somewhere else and counting our losses, but decided to stay. Bed felt like it sagged, not very comfortable. Now looking at reviews I see that other people in the past have thought it smelled also, obviously nothing is being done about that. Won’t be staying here anytime in the future.

The photos accurately showed the bathroom was efficient and the shower was small. Very clean. Nice quality linens on the comfy beds. I liked getting the entry code by text, and having an in-room Keurig.

Super cozy rooms in a great area. Excellent Wifi and the bed was great.

Initial room was very small. Room temperature was 67 and heat wouldn't work. Staff was helpful once we figured out the system. Switched us to the Retreat, which was lovely and didn't charge us extra. Unfortunately, we wouldn't stay there again if we had to take a regular room. Couldn't afford the Retreat at the increased price.

Looks like the owners successfully renovated an older motel and gave it a more contemporary look and feel. Rooms are small compared to more newer properties but the room works for two if you're primarily just looking for a place to lay your head at night. Electronic check-in that allowed guests to go straight to their room was a nice feature. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom are starting to show their age. Also had to reboot the cable to get it to work, but all in all it was a good stay.

I enjoyed staying here. The staff were very patient with my elderly family members. However: I am legally blind without my glasses, and even though I spent three hours deep cleaning my room (I'm in perimenopause, and I've NEVER been charged an additional room fee) they charged my dad $20 for "excessive messiness..." Well...it wasn't me, or if there was a spot, I didn't see it because I'm nearsighted and I take my glasses off for deep cleaning. I hope that Rachel reads this and gives folx who are stressed out some grace. I'm sorry I couldn't leave a tip, but I discussed the reason why that might not be possible with my finances. To be traveling alone with C-PTSD, Autism, and ADHD is not easy, but I'm almost 40 and I know how to take care of myself. And I know how to clean a motel room. If you are not legally blind, this is probably a great place to stay, but honestly, my feelings are hurt. Value is good, but my favorite place to stay up here is the Skylark, they are far kinder and more understanding of their clientelle. Plus, this location is not for folx who just want a room key--please note: staff is not always reachable, especially if you're having a hot flash in the middle of the night, need ice, and the office keypad is not functioning correctly. I hope the owners read this review and refund my dad the $20. I would have paid for the room myself but I'm currently dealing with identity theft. Regards, Katherine.

Great keyless check in, room as advertised

Room was very clean, it was quiet and the owners/staff were very accommodating and kind when I requested a change of room size a few days before stay.

Very nice, clean, and recently renovated with helpful staff. The only problem was that snowmobilers would idle their snowmobiles for upwards of half an hour in the mornings. And they did this close enough to the hotel doors that both noise and gas fumes inside were noticeable. We asked the staff if they could request that those guests idle/warm up engines at least 10-20 feet away from room entrances and windows, but staff declined. It's understandable that they need these customers in the winter to stay in business, but it did detract from our stay.

Couldn't lock my door when I left and it was unlocked when I got there. Nobody in the office and was told someone would look into it and never did.

Do not recommend. Arrived at 7 pm -- property dark and vacant, no staff or guests in sight so I called a number on the locked office door. A agent from another state answered the call and said he couldn't help. Another agent called me an hour later to tell me to enter the abandoned motel through a code. By that time I had traveled 30 miles to secure alternative accommodations (NOT on Expedia) and had no plans to return (of course I was still charged the full amount)! Steer clear of this place--for a premium alternative I highly recommend Cobblestone.

Off the main road, so not very quiet, but I can't hear anything without my hearing aids! Nice location just off the lake and park area - very pretty.

Great place if you are looking for a clean quiet place to sleep walking distance to town.

Reasonable price and could walk downtown

property close to downtown Minocqua. Torpy park right across the street. owners are on property and are attentive to your needs.

Our stay was wonderful. First time there it was clean. Close to everything lake right across street. And the manager was very nice. And I only seen 1 helper and he was there every day also helpful. I will be returning for sure 😊

This property is right across from the lake. It is a motel that has been redone and is super cute. Safe area. Quiet. Firm bed but was comfortable. Overall a nice place to stay.
