I give 5 stars to this hotel. Location is convenient. Easy to call Grab. Restaurants are located within 10min of walk. I recommend Restauron Ipoh 新怡保飯店 for dinner. Inside the room, clean, tidy and you have everything you need, tooth brush, tooth paste, coffee machines, nespresso capsule etc. air con is strong, bed is comfortable, can relax after a hot day’s walk. Breakfast is made to order, fresh and delicious. Staff are exceptional friendly. I stay in many 5-stars hotel but nobody like Bedrock who will bring you to the room and show you where the amenities are. Debbie, the hotel manager, is very friendly and helpful on any question you may have. I’m very happy with my stay here at Bedrock and will recommend to travelers in Ipoh.

Very interesting boutique hotel converted from shophouse. Spacious rooms with great air con and water pressure. The hot/cold dispenser in room is useful. Big super king bed like Marriott. Debbie and staff are all friendly and very helpful. Recommended.

The highlights were the superb bedroom with a very comfortable bed, power shower and so much space. A free room safe, a coffee machine and plenty of storage options. We also found the staff were super friendly giving us great advice and cheerful greetings. The only negative was the limited breakfast choices

這是這趟馬來西亞行程中性格比最高的一間酒店。 房間十分寬敞，除了膠囊咖啡機外，還有冷熱水機。 地點方便，距離著名的老黃芽菜雞、怡發茶室（咖喱麵）再步行距離以內。早上或黃昏天氣不太炎熱時步行到舊街場也是可以的，大概20分鐘。 Check-in時遇到十分熱情的酒店職員，主動跟我們介紹應該去什麼地點觀光、哪裏有好餐廳。 再次到訪怡保的話會首選預訂這酒店。

Thought I have walked in to an art gallery the moment I entered the main entrance. This hotel has lots of rocks and modern art pieces display in common area as well as in room. We were welcome by friendly Debbie and Mr Yap. They deserved a service excellence award! Hot and cold water dispenser as well as expresso coffee machine (with 2 capsule) is a plus point. There is also a big bath tub though not eco-friendly. My wife left her mobile phone in the room on 2nd day of our stays. The room was cleaned when we are back in the afternoon. Her mobile phone still on the table untouched. Thanks to the honest room staff🙏

Clean hotel in a quiet street in Ipoh New Town (not the more bustling Old Town). Hotel manager was friendly and gave us a walkthrough of all the major attractions in Ipoh using a map. Plenty of car park spaces in front of the hotel and v easy to get a GrabCar. Breakfast spread was modest but still filling.

Der Service im Hotel ist großartig und sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und groß und gut eingerichtet. Auch das Bad war groß, modern und sehr sauber. Im gesamten Hotel befindet sich schöne Deko, die sehr geschmackvoll ausgewählt wurde. Zum Frühstück gab es eine gute Auswahl an Speisen auf dem Buffet. Außerdem konnte man zwischen english breakfast oder Nasi Lemak wählen. Nasi Lemak habe ich jeden Morgen gegessen, weil es einfach ausgezeichnet geschmeckt hat. Vielen Dank für den aufmerksamen Service! Wir können das Bedrock Hotel auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen.

1) The hotel and the rooms was very clean and presentable. 2) Staff was very friendly and approachable. They recommended some places and foods nearby. 3) The room's facilities was very good. The room and the bathroom is very big and spacious. 4) Lot's of food choices around the area. And the convenience store is also nearby. Shopping mall Ipoh Parade also quite near. My family including me really liked this place and will definitely come back here.

When we arrived the hotel was closed to all other guests as they had plumbers in replacing the pipework, and furniture was stacked in the corridors. During the first night of our three nught stay, the new pipework leaked above our bathroom ceiling and soaked our toiletry and cosmetic bags and their contents. We were told that we couldn't move to another room because the hotel was reopening a couple of days later and was fully booked. I dont really understand the logic behind that. The second night was uneventful as the plumber had returned to fix the leak, but during the third evening the air conditioner unit started leaking quite a lot of water onto the floor. An aircon fitter was summoned to fix it whilst we were waiting to shower to go out for the evening. I really cannot understand the rave reviews for this place. It is in a scruffy street. The windows are filthy, there was a horrible artificial fibre shag pile rug on the floor that was matted with who knows what. The breakfast was average with stale cereals and "long life" pastries. It would have been much better for both them and us if they had cancelled our reservation once they realised that workmen would be in the hotel during our stay. I can only guess that they wanted our money.

We enjoyed our stay at Bedrock. It was a very large and comfortable room. Staff were great and only a short walk to the new and old towns. Enjoyed the artworks. However, some of the maintenance done to the room is a little amateurish, especially in the bathroom. But nothing so serious that I would not stay here again, just a bit quirky.

The room is spacious! With one master bedroom and stairs connecting to another bedroom in the attic (3 beds and 2 bathrooms in total). The staff members (especially the manager) and the owner were extremely helpful and friendly. They gave us detailed information about local attractions and eateries, and also gave some medicine for my dad when he suffered from diarrhea. Probably the best hotel in town!

Location was fab. In new town, very near lots of traditional eating places as well as a modern precinct with lots of food choices. 15 mins walk from old town. Hotel is beautifully decorated. Lots of seating and art on common spaces and in rooms. Our room (201) was huge. The bed was large and so comfortable with good quality linen. I give 5 stars to this hotel. Location is convenient. Easy to call Grab. Restaurants are located within 10min of walk. I recommend Restauron Ipoh 新怡保飯店 for dinner. Smaller style boutique hotel fairly centralized. ALL members of staff were extremely friendly especially Debbie who I assumed was the owner as she was also helpful. A quaint Breakfast was included in our stay. Definitely would stay again & highly recommend Bedrock Hotel 👍

...in the new town area of Ipoh, less than a 15mins drive from Ipoh airport. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by the staff, and Debbie was the perfect host. All the recommendations were spot on for what I was looking for. As a solo traveller this was very much appreciated as Debbie knew what would be ideal for me, and so it was! Breakfast was east or western and was prepared on demand, along with a selection of pastries. And the rooms were comfy and spacious, with water and coffee machines. Walkable to the old town and the lanes (20 mins), and less than a 10 min walk to the pedestrianised area with restaurants and shops to stock up on gifts for back home, plus the famous Ipoh white coffee! Plus a two min walk from the Woong Kee bean curd stall! After having left an item in the taxi to the airport, Debbie and her team got it back to me in Singapore - hand delivered once I managed to track it down. The team went above and beyond and provided a truly end to end service. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place with terrific staff and owners (they recommended a spa and helped with the arrangements and transportation and recommendation was spot on). A little bit of a walk to the Old Town and in the heat, that matters.

We had a very nice 3 night stay at this hotel. Breakfast was fine, staff were very friendly and helpful, a/c was excellent, bathroom and shower were great, bed was large and comfortable. Very convenient to restaurants, a reasonable walk to old town. Grab is very cheap if you don’t want to walk there.

Clean hotel in a quiet street in Ipoh New Town (not the more bustling Old Town). Hotel manager was friendly and gave us a walkthrough of all the major attractions in Ipoh using a map. Plenty of car park spaces in front of the hotel and v easy to get a GrabCar. Breakfast spread was modest but still filling.

We were sent to have fantastic local food at local area, superb. Although the hotel is not surrounded by examples like itself- Bedrock is very comfortable. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. If I was to make one hint, to have more Western options at breakfast like fruit and yogurt. Debbie and Mr Lee were great hosts who will no doubt help in any way

Der Service im Hotel ist großartig und sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und groß und gut eingerichtet. Auch das Bad war groß, modern und sehr sauber. Im gesamten Hotel befindet sich schöne Deko, die sehr geschmackvoll ausgewählt wurde. Zum Frühstück gab es eine gute Auswahl an Speisen auf dem Buffet. Außerdem konnte man zwischen english breakfast oder Nasi Lemak wählen. Nasi Lemak habe ich jeden Morgen gegessen, weil es einfach ausgezeichnet geschmeckt hat. Vielen Dank für den aufmerksamen Service! Wir können das Bedrock Hotel auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen.

An amazing little treasure in Ipoh! I'm so glad to have found this fascinating boutique hotel owned by Debbie and her husband. She gave us a warm welcome and was so helpful with everything. The nasi lemak and white coffee at breakfast was super shiok too! It's close to the old town, and there are lots of food options all around. I highly recommend the Bedrock Hotel if you're travelling to Ipoh.

Overall, Bedrock Hotel far exceeded our expectations, it is a boutique hotel which was comfortable, modern and hip, artistic, the owner herself was very friendly and so were the staff, our loft family room was fantastic and cosy - the kids really loved it having their own loft bedroom, the breakfast was fantastic - main choice of nasi lemak or continental breakfast with other buffet items, the air conditioning was cold and comfortable, there were several reserved parking spots for guests.
