I had reviewed LaRiSa last week and had mentioned I'd consider altering (my 4*) review based on my 2nd experience. And I did revise it--upward! There are several reasons why I revised my review upward, including the incredible staff--Priya at the restaurant, and Hitesh (among others--I forget their names) at the reception. They had a bottle of wine waiting for me upon check in. Plus, they were very responsive and helpful through out. I'd definitely want to stay here again. I didn't use the pool, but the water wasn't clear; it was cloudy and thus uninviting. By the way, the restaurant at LaRiSa has some of the BEST food food ever--particularly for lunch/dinner. (The b'fast is so-so.) The Lebneh is to die for. My friends absolutely loved the spaghetti alfredo. I thought the burrata wasn't bad, particularly considering the warm Indian climes. The environs around the hotel isn't the best; it's at least a kilometer to anywhere. The surroundings aren't unsafe, but they aren't very appealing either. But this is not something that the hotel can control. Overall, definitely a good place to stay and chill! Recommended.

My 1st night there was terrible. I came in late--around 11:00 pm, and before I got there, I called them, but nobody would pick up. After I arrived, I was shown my room and it looked very different (and worse) from the pictures. There were a number of things that put me off, including: - The dbedside table was too narrow/small to place anything other than perhaps a wallet - There was very little hot water; and the water pressure was quite low - There was no towel rack, so it's not clear where to hang the towels - The sofa in the living room area (I got a "premium" room) was dirty, with stains and marks on it - The outdoor restroom space was quite dirty and uninviting. Despite all this, I am giving the place a 4-star because of the staff, who went out of their way to address these issues, including moving me to a better room. Not just the front-desk and reception staff, but everyone (including the restaurant staff) are super friendly and helpful. I am staying there again this coming weekend and will update this review at that point.

The stay with Larisa Resort was just beautiful. Everyone was so helpful and lovely, it was like visiting family. The rooms are very cozy and perfect for a relaxation getaway. Whenever we come back to Goa we would definitely chose this resort again! We had the very best experience.
