We booked a Deluxe room, the Garden View King. What we got was a 2nd floor room (208) overlooking the bar/restaurant. The air conditioning was via a portable unit (that had leaked and saturated the carpet) which meant the shutters and window needed to be open - beyond noisy on a busy Friday evening, and sleep didn’t come easy even after an 11-hour flight. 4am in the morning the cleaner started mopping the floors, then came the restocking the bar, with accompanying mood music, at which point we gave up trying to sleep. Fair to say our complaint was heard by the front desk x we were moved to another room later in the day for our remaining nights which better-matched the description. AC ✅King✅Garden View✅, which was quiet and comfortable. Noticeable from the kerb at the front of the building that some of those rooms also have portable a/c units venting out on to the street. Nice location, we mostly enjoyed our stay in Culver City but it could not have got off to a worse start.

This place is adorable. However the curly headed female who checks people in is BEYOND unwelcoming and unfriendly when we arrived and when other guests arrived. (I watched to make sure it wasn't us). The daytime parking valet staff was equally rude. However other evening and Sunday morning parking valet staff and the older manager were warm and friendly. Cranky mama needs to be taught how to deliver customer service and ALL of the valet should be helpful and friendly. They need training. This is what I do for a living (customer service) so I am a pro. Curly hair desk staff was atrocious. She did not crack a smile ones during our two day stay and it made me want to avoid asking for anything or interacting in any way. She knows she is doing it and needs to be told to improve.

Room was very clean. Hard to give good review, ac non working, known to staff prior to my check in, should have been told. Room was sooo hot. One good thing, was the honesty of the staff, and the manager gave me my money back. Will not return. Hard to sleep with noise from bar/restaurant and the lack of air. Could not open any windows either. It was 90 degrees in Culver City and this was two nights without sleep. Also, the shower was very hard to get into due to the door and counter to close together. Had to be very careful getting in and out.

The room is small but clean. The carpets do need a little attention. We were place on the first floor next to the restrooms and therefore can hear the fan running the whole time. It was a little noisy when the bar was still open, but died down after it closed. The location is great, make sure you park at the parking lot near Philz. Much cheaper than the overnight valet parking by the hotel if you don’t mind the walk.

Loved our stay here!! The hotel was decorated so cute and an easy walk to a lot of bars and restaurants. The restaurant downstairs was awesome and we will for sure stay here anytime we come back!
