The elevator was out, and although they said they were trying to fix it, it was never fixed. I have a injury and needed an elevator. Manager blamed the extreme heat from last week. Staff tried to help. Location was noisy. AC noisy and poor quality. Staff was pleasant but defensive. Room was clean. I’m not good thing.

Great place to stay. Right next to the cruise line terminals in Brooklyn. Only downfall of this hotel is the one small elevator and if everyone leaves at the same time you will need to use the steps.

The location in Brooklyn was convenient. The room was updated and the property was modern. Parking was a bit expensive for onsite, uncovered, unprotected option. The complimentary breakfast made up for the small size of the room and elevator.

Hotel is nice but there is only one elevator and it’s small. We booked and paid for a one king bed room but when we got to the property we were told it wasn’t available so we were given a room with two full sized beds. Disappointed but it was fine.

Perfectly located for our MSC Cruise! I was able to walk to the cruise port from the hotel. Super clean and the staff are incredibly friendly! Breakfast was a great way to start the day. Restaurants were relatively close, too. If you are cruising out of Brooklyn, you want to stay here!

Room was qiuiet and A/C worked. Large variety of food at breakfast. Negatives: roaches in room - one jumped out of coffeemaker one evening. Toilet ran for 2 nights before getting fixed. Bathroom sink stopped up and took 2 requests to repair. No grab bars in shower if you need them. The floors in the Breakfast room were slick as ice and visibly "wet" so your feet slid around most days. Breakfast food sat out on counter, so you only got most foods at appropriate temperature if you got down there as soon as they were put out at 6:30 am, and some items like cut-up fruit, run out by 9 am. Spoke with manager about roaches, told him how disappointed we were and wouldn't stay there again or recommend their hotel to anyone. He told me how seriously they take these issues and was sending exterminator up. He sent me email later stating room was inspected and no evidence of roaches was found, but room was thoroughly "sanitized" and left in pristine condition. NO mention of using bug spray and unsure what "sanitized" meant. Oh, then he offered me a 20% discount on future stays - ha! No discount on our roach infested room, though.

We have not had a good experience arriving at this hotel. First the girl at the front desk was very unfriendly. We got all ready to go to bed and when we open the bed, we found 2 big stain in the bedsheets which was very disgusting. I went to the front desk and I was told that someone will come and change the sheets. When the guy got here he try to hand the sheets to us to change the bed ourselves, he said he is done work for the day. He only removed the sheets and my cousin had to finish making the bed. We ended up dealing with one curly hair gentleman who was nice. That is the only good experience we have had so far. We were so freaked out were not able to take a picture of the stains.

I stayed with my boyfriend after a concert at Barclays. We were surprised to have a room in the basement but the room itself was pretty good. Not too big but comfortable enough to get ready in. Considering our room was in the basement it was well lit and the windows were looking into the parking lot. The cafe on premises is in the basement but we did not have a chance to make our way over. Im extra critical of bathrooms in any hotel room but i was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of this bathroom. I would stay again. Receptionists at the desk were friendly and helpful. Overall no complaints, good stay.

I stayed in the cellar and would not recommend it, pay the bit extra for a higher floor. It was incredibly noisy. The doors were constantly being opened and closed and they were very loud fire exit push the bar type doors. I saw staff down there often, they must be accessing rooms down there, supplies and such? There is no carpeting in the hall way or room to absorb any sound and it just carried. I tried to have a nap after checking in because of my early flight and it was impossible. The breakfast is served down there as well so noises started around 6am. It was the noisiest hotel stay I’ve ever had. Maybe a higher floor is better.

I stay in first floor and all night heated the TV sounds from next door and every 5 minutes the toilet flush sound . Can not sleep at all. The insulation is terrible and seems the hotel is transformed from office apartments. Second day I told the front desk changed to third floor which highest floor in the logde. The toilet sound is much better but the neighbors slapping doors still sounds loud. Overall the isolation between unit is very poor and the price for the hotel is way too much compared with the cost. Better to book real 4 star hotel for the same price

The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the room was quite noisy. The fridge made constant noise throughout the night, and the toilet kept flushing by itself every few minutes, which was very disturbing and affected our rest.

It's quite noisy at night because you can hear doors slamming at each end of the hallway and from the guests'doors as well. I was given ear plugs by the hotel staff who were professional and friendly. New pillows are called for. We had 3 rooms and the pillows were lumpy in all 3. The breakfast was acceptable. No fresh fruit. Not even bananas. Scrambled eggs. You can't serve yourself. The staff serves the hot choices, which were scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage. One granola choice, no yogurt.

I will NEVER stay at this hotel again! The staff is rude and unprofessional. The rooms were dirty. All four that they showed me. I had to switch hotels. Unfortunately, I didn't get my money back. I am disappointed overall.

All of the bath towels in my room had brown/orange stains on them and/or hair. When I arrived at my room, I heard screaming and a toilet flush. I went to get a new room assignment but turns out someone from the hotel staff was in my room. She left, but a few minutes later returned and unlocked and opened the door without knocking to check something in the bathroom. This was a decent location and parking was convenient - but unclean amenities and privacy violations make this hotel a “gotta pass” in my book.

Great value for a clean and comfortable room, welcoming staff, and a breakfast that was tasty and had a variety of options. I was on foot so for some meetings depended on subways around town and the walk from the closest station was about 18 minutes but GPS was accurate so all went well. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was very clean, and the gentleman who checked me in was friendly. Now the front desk clerk that came on after him, was slightly rude, didn't greet me at the counter, and then tried to act as if she didn't hear me. I also didn't care for the fact that there was no microwave in the building, so I was unable to eat my food I purchased in the city. And let's be clear when I visit NY, I'm definitely eating. And breakfast is offered, which was really good.But the food attendant, was really taking her job to serious. All tables were full with guest, I asked could I take to the room, was told no, just have a seat with strangers. I proceeded to take to my room , and the food attendant, was loud and ran m we down, even came in my room behind me. My husband put her out of the room in his underwear. And at checkout there's another $27 amenities fee. I can't say I don't recommend, but I'll never come back.

Great location to Brooklyn Cruiseport. Small bit ample and clean room. Friendly staff who will arrange transportation to cruiseport. Neighborhood walkable with a couple nice restaurants nearby.

Good value for the bucks, especially if you want to do Brooklyn - which is nice and less hysterical than Manhattan. Just around the hotel the area seems a little sketchy - but we walked to the hotel even at dark with no problem. And across the big road it’s nice neighborhoods and streets. You can walk along Smith street or along the water promenade. Good breakfast.

We stayed here for a night before boarding a cruise leaving from the Brooklyn cruise terminal. It was a great location for that and exploring what the Redhook neighborhood had to offer. The hotel was clean, the staff was courteous and helpful, and the free breakfast was great!

I stayed in that hotel before a cruise from Brooklyn terminal and it had been an excellent choice. I would not suggest it for a Manhattan classical tour, because it is too far from the subway.

A nice, comfortable, relaxed hotel with a decent breakfast included. 10min walk from Carroll St subway and the Red Hook ny ferry terminal which was fine for us. Helpful staff. Would definitely stay again. Two subway lines to Manhattan so hardly a wait and a good stroll to Brooklyn Bridge. Brooklyn is a great area to stay in NY.

The room was clean. It takes forever to go to breakfast because of the very small elevator and lots of people. The included breakfast is mediocre, crowded, they clean your table while you eat. Will not go back to this hotel.

staff is warm and helpful, facilities are super clean. Vibe is more European hostel than NYC hotel which is refreshing. Would stay again. Note on Breakfast: yes it is quite a spread - eggs, potatoes, meat, empanadas- and would be delicious if it wasn’t cold! (was cold even when we arrived as they opened at 6:30a) Staff seemed unaware that chafing dishes need to be heated, sternos lit and brought up to temp BEFORE the food is added.

The cruise port was close, which was convenient. There was only a vending machine for snacks. A concession stand would have been nice. There was no microwave in the room. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast room was too small, it was over crowded when we were there.

It's quite noisy at night because you can hear doors slamming at each end of the hallway and from the guests'doors as well. I was given ear plugs by the hotel staff who were professional and friendly. New pillows are called for. We had 3 rooms and the pillows were lumpy in all 3. The breakfast was acceptable. No fresh fruit. Not even bananas. Scrambled eggs. You can't serve yourself. The staff serves the hot choices, which were scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage. One granola choice, no yogurt.

Our room was spotless. The only issues I had were that there were no ports for USB/USC cable connections so we had to rely on our own plugs. This would be an upgrade worth making. Also, there was little to no room in the bathroom for our stuff, so shelves would have been helpful. However, I can't say enough about the excellence of the staff. Truly wonderful Location-wise, the hotel is not close to public transportation, so be prepared to uber or walk a long way to get to where you need to be. Having said all that, and as a former long-time New Yorker, I would 100% recommend a stay here.
